I'm uploading a photobook I made to be published.  I need assistance in getting it to apple.  The book is assembled and gets to the end of uploading when I get an error message, an error occurred while uploading.  I have been trying all night.  Help!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I have seen previous versions mentioned in a pop up message before on iCloud.com, but I'm not really sure at all how it would help, as I couldn't get it to do anything.
The best advice I have at this time is to back up your work on your iOS device by regularly saving it to iTunes, if anything goes wrong you can then either load it into the numbers app again on the device or recover it via iTunes on your computer.
My syncs are immediate, I never get chance to see if it works in the background, sorry.

    Hi Ciaran19,
Are you sending files from the Adobe Send interface, Adobe Reader, or the Outlook plug-in?
Have you checked to see whether the files that you're sending appear in the Recent Files/Sent Files list when you're logged on to https://cloud.acrobat.com? (It could be that they're uploading, but not being sent.)
It would also be worthwhile to send the files in smaller batches, to see whether a particular file or files is problematic, and causing the error.
Please let us know how it goes. If you're still having trouble, please let us know where you're sending from, and whether you're able to send the files in smaller batches. It would also be helpful to know the exact error message that you're receiving.

  • Error message: deleting discount groups in WT that have been removed

    Hello,
In the synch manager I'm getting this error:
Deleting discount groups in WT that have been removed from B1 without notification
The only thing I can imagine is that an Itemgroup in B1 was removed, but as far as I can remember there hasn't been removed an Itemgroup.
The only thing which has been done in WT is that I removed a Catalog.
Obviously I have to find out if there is an Itemgroup in WT which isn't in SBO anymore. Has anyone an idea how to find out. Probably with a query? How do I remove the Discount groups from WT?
The problem right now is that the synch manager gives a time out error. The error of the Deleting discount groups slows down the synch by two hours which is very inconvenient in our situation (synch is normally every 10 minutes)
    Best regards,
    Tim

    SAP gave the following solution:
Running that query indicated below in the attachment (re:Resync Special Prices posting) is a safe operation to perform. It essentially mimics someone editing every special price in SBO which forces them to synch.
This query (and others) can be seen in a SBO stored procedure called PRX_Queue_All_Objects. Running this query and re-synching should fix the
synch error related to there being less special pricing records in WebTools than B1.
The other error related to discount groups is slightly more complicated.
This is caused because the synch found that there were more discount groups in WebTools than B1 has so it is trying to delete the extra ones.
Older versions had a problem with this step when there were many groups to delete. It was fixed in newer versions where the groups were deleted in smaller sets.
To fix the second issue there are 2 options. First lets confirm the different in record counts.
    Run this query in B1:
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM OSPG WHERE ObjType IN (52,43)
    And run this in WebTools
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM PartsPricing WHERE Filter IN ('ItemGroupDiscount'
    ,'ManufacturerDiscount')
Based on the error message, we assume there are more records in the webtools query than the B1 query.
If they are different, there are 2 options#
    1) Delete all pricing records from WebTools, re-queue everything in SBO and re-run the synch. To do this the site should be taken offline so customers aren't browsing the site while there is no pricing information. First backup the WebTools database. Next delete everything from the partspricing table and then the partspricingmaster. Finally re-queue everything by 3 first queries in the PRX_Queue_All_Objects stored procedure. This will re-queue Discount Groups, Special Prices and
PriceLists. If you do not have these queries as your top 3 then you have
an older version which can be resolved by clicking the install plugin button on the synch manager. By doing this, it isn't necessary to run the query above to fix the special pricing error, it will all be handled
    in this step.
    OR
    2) Run a SQL Trace on the database which synching. This will record all sql queries running. Review the trace file after the synch stops and look for a query that is deleting from partspricing. It will probably be
a very large SQL query with many discount group codes in the "IN"
clause. Copy this to query analyzer and try to run directly from there.
Once the unnecessary discount groups are removed, the synch should run much faster.

  • Error occurred while uploading iPhoto book

I have been trying to upload (buy) a photobook through iPhoto. It builds OK and seems to transfer all the data (60MB) then stops and displays an error message:
"An error occurred while uploading one of your files. Please check your network connection and click Retry to resend your file"
Network is fine and I have tried the following suggestions:
    Rebuild iPhoto
Throttle restricted upload (this seemed counter intuitive but the data tx seemed correct)
    Would appreciate any workable ideas.

If it helps I will also leave you with a few steps I have when it comes to errors in the account >stopping the purchases. If the steps Old Toad said did not help, I am hoping this is what it takes:
    A) Please delete your net services folder. To do so, please follow the path below:
    MacintoshHD ->Library -> Application Support -> NetServices
Single-click on the NetServices folder and delete the entire folder.
    B) Make corrections in Apple Store
    1. Go to the Apple Store online and click Your Account in the navigation bar:
    http://store.apple.com/us
    2. Sign in using your Apple ID and password.
    3. Click "Change account information" on the right and sign in again.
    4. Verify or enter your Billing and Shipping address information.
    5. Delete your credit card information in the Method of Payment section, and then re-enter it. Do >not enter spaces in your credit card number. Click Continue.
    C) Next go back to iPhoto:
    1) Select the "Buy Book" button.
    2) Click on "Account Info" and then "Edit Billing information".
    3) Change the type of card, and then blank out the remaining fields: card number, security code, >and expiration date.
    4) Click "Save".
    5) You should then receive an error that you will need to fill in those fields.
    6) Complete all the fields again and click "Save".
Subsequently, please attempt to submit your order.
Thank you for your patience in this matter. I hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks OT. I've done this with no improvement, David H from Apple suggested a similar solution.
I've since copied the iPhoto library to the MacBook Pro and tried to upload from there. I'm now getting a billing error so think I must have made an error when I re-typed. Trying again....

  • An error occurred while uploading one of your files. Please check your network connection and click Retry to resend your file

    Just for the record:
I had received the error message "An error occurred while uploading one of your files. Please check your network connection and click Retry to resend your file" after all data apparently had been uploaded.
After trying everything recommended on the internet, I finally found the culprit: Glimmerblocker, an ad blocker!
(GlimmerBlocker version 1.4.16, Mac OS X 10.7.2 Lion)
Actually, the credit goes to the very patient German Apple support: they had finally asked me: "what software have you installed lately" ... a big applause to the guys there!
    Best,
    Gabriel.

In our case, it was not third party software, but a problem with our router not accepting pings.  If you are using a router be sure to set-up Enable WAN Ping Respond,  in the advanced settings.  I reviewed my wireless router's logs and found that it was blocking ICMP Type 3 packets from Apple's server.  As a result, it would give the message, "An error occurred while uploading one of your files.  Please check your network connection and click Retry to resend your file."  You can find the blocked packets in your log based on the time you clicked the buy button for your iPhoto purchase (in my case about a dozen times).  If your packets are blocked, then that is your problem.
I should have suspected it was the connection since the message plainly said, "...check your network connection...".  However, I discounted this along with so many others based on the forums, since I could connect to the internet.  If there only was a way the message could have gave a little more saying, "Enable your WAN Ping Respond now, or else!"
Good fortune on your road to Macenlightenment!

  • IPhoto cards: "An error occurred while uploading one of your files."

    Hey, all.
I've been trying to print some cards via iPhoto (version 6.0.6) but, while some are successful on the first attempt, others just keep generating the following error message no matter how many times I try them: "An error occurred while uploading one of your files."
I'm at a loss. They assemble fine. They connect fine. They transfer fine. Then I just get this irritating message over and over and over...plus my credit card company keeps calling about "unusual activity" (which would be the multiple "pending" charges for the same dollar amount that each of these tries generate).
I've tried searching these forums and, while others seem to have had this problem, I've yet to read an actual solution.
And I've tried contacting Apple but they've been, in a word, useless. Polite, but useless.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    like, say, panning the image
What do you mean by "panning"? The only time I've heard this term is with video, referring to moving the camera from right to left. So, if you can explain how what you mean by this it might help.
While there are reports on this forum about folks having issues uploading, compared to the sheer volume of photo orders Apple process it's quite a small amount, and certainly not enough to suggest a systemic fault.
And I'd already tried removing the pictures and cards from iPhoto, then halving the pictures' size (MB) in Photoshop, then recreating the whole lot from scratch. Still, no effect.
Can you explain how you did this? What interaction have you set between iPhoto and Photoshop?
Other than that: Start with the troubleshooting basics:
    1. Repair Permissions using Disk Utility
    2. Delete the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. You'll need to reset your User options afterwards.
    3. Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts) and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
    4. What color profile are these images? Have they been processed in Adobe Lightroom or other software before iPhoto? What's the source of the images - Camera? Scanner? Other?
    Regards
    TD

I can't tell you whats wrong but all i do is reboot iphoto, or worst case, restart the mac. and the next time it goes through like a whiz. I placed orders for 24 separate books this week and i have had everything imaginable go wrong but almost everything worked after restaring iphoto.....corrupt file, cannot authenticate user, cannot get credit card approval, problem with file transfer. Don't bother to use the RETRY button. email support was courteous and within 48 hours for other matters not solved by restarting.

I keep getting this error in Dreamweaver when I am trying to upload my website?  Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?  here is the error message: /html - error occurred - Unable to create remote folder /html.  Access denied.  The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.   Make sure you have proper authorization on the server and the server is properly configured.  File activity incomplete. 1 file(s) or folder(s) were not completed.  Files with errors: 1 /html

Nobody can tell you anything without knowing exact site and server specs, but I would suspect that naming the folder "html" wasn't the brightest of ideas, since that's usually a default (invisible) folder name existing somewhere on the server and the user not having privileges to overwrite it.
