Double tap the Home button and swipe the app preview page up
iOS 7 also allows apps to run while they aren't open.
You can manage these here:

I'm running os 10.5.8 and want to upgrade to new mountain lion but need to first upgrade to 10.6.8. I downloaded that but got message saying i needed 10.6 first, which I can't seem to find anywhere. When i try Software Update from the apple menu, it says

When i try the Software update from my desktop apple menu, it says i already have the most redent software. I tried downloading 10.6.8 but when i tried to run it said i first need 10.6, which i can't seem to find anywhere on the Apple site or internet. Any suggestions? Can i somehow not upgrade form 10.5.8 to 10.6 or higher?

Is there a way to access your ipod from your computer and delete apps without plugging it into the computer im talking like if it were at someons house for the day but you wanted to delete an app off the ipod but you dont have access to it??

Yes if you have the iPod and iTunes set up to sync via wifi. However, you have to do it from your one syncing computer and the iPod and computer have to be on the same network.

When i updated itunes I lost all my music, I was able to retrieve it from my previous version, but now a artists have all of their songs list under one unknown cd. How can I seperate these cds with the correct songs included?

Thanks for replying, but that isn't the answer I am looking for. Also, there is no + sign, UNLESS you do tap the overlapping boxes.
Let me try to ask my question a little more clearly:
When I tap the two overlapping boxes on the lower left (the option to Open New Windows), the new Window that appears will show your Bookmarked FAVORITES. But with my new iPhone 6, and the new iOS 8.0.2, when I tap the two boxes to open a New Window, my Bookmark Favorites show (as they always have and should), but below them, there is a dividing line underneath them, and it says Recently Viewed Websites, and has these websites available to tap.
So my question is, HOW DO I TURN THESE OPTION OFF?
*UPDATE (10.13.14): Since I have asked this question, I no longer see these Recently Viewed Websites under my Bookmarked Favorites in my new Window tabs. So I hope that Apple fixed it, or somehow it was a mistake, or somehow I changed an Option on my iPhone 6 that stopped this for reoccurring.

In your Icloud settings there are options on what is shared and what is not they might have got switched you can check those first.

In order to continue to play and sync the music you purchased with your old account, you'll need to authorize your new computer/iTunes library to do so. You can do this by choosing Store -> Authorize This Computer and then entering in your old account credentials.
That's all you should need to. Then just create your own account and start purchasing and using it the same you have with the old one.

There is nothing in the folder. How do I unlock this folder and delete it? When I try to delete it, I'm asked for my password which I put in and is accepted, but will not delete the folder.
