Am in need of a sample (Newbie question)

I am very new to PL/Sql. I'm want to create a procedure that does the following (I need a sample or pointers to what to read):
I need a procedure that has cursor1 that searches for a list of invoices (createdDate > sysdate-3)
For each of these records i need a new cursor2 that will search for a new set of invoices that have the same invoice date as the returned invoice in the first cursor.
Depending on some criterias in the records in cursor2 I want the procedure to return a list of invoices from both cursor1 and cursor2.
To make this more clear, a sample output would be:
InvoiceNum 18, InvoiceDate 2007/01/02 (from cursor1)
Invoices with same date:
InvoiceNum 3 (from cursor2)
InvoiceNum 7 (from cursor2)
InvoiceNum 19, InvoiceDate 2007/01/08 (from cursor1)
Invoices with same date:
InvoiceNum 8 (from cursor2)
InvoiceNum 17 (from cursor2)
InvoiceNum 18 (from cursor2)

My scenario is this:
We sometimes have the problem that an invoice is registered twice - let's say like this:
InvoiceNum        Amount           Date        Vendor
355             15.155,00      01/01/05    SomeVendor
R355            15.165,00      02/01/05    SameVendorNow the invoice 355 was paid yesterday, but today we got a reminder (and interests). With my Procedure I want to catch that newly created invoice, and prevent that it gets paid aswell. And the procedure should check every invoice that was registered today and look for simular invoices throughout the AP system.
If doublets exist, then I want to printout both the invoice today and the invoice that looks like it...
Do you have a suggestion how I should do this with one query (I think it's kinda complex)? The criteria for returning an invoice in the second query would be:
1: Does the vendor have simular name in both invoices?
2: Is the amount of the invoice the same? (plus/minus 5%)
3: Does the new invoice number look like the old one?

I have deployed amserver.war in weblogic 8.1 through amserver.war.
I am able to login through user amAdmin. It's working fine. I have used file system at the time of configuration of access manager.
I want to communicate with the sunaccess manager deployed on weblogic through stand alone application. for example i want to access information stored in access manager from application by passing some input. What are the configuration that i need to do for this.
Use case: I have created a subject(user) now i want to retrieve user information that is stored in access manager or want to authenticate the user by passing the user name and password from a stand alone java application.

I posted a message a few days ago regarding calling Stored Procedures in my JDev 3.1 (JDK 1.2.2) BC4J application. I need to be able to call them two different ways. The first involves passing some parameters to the SP and recieving back the ResultSet. In the other instance I simply need to make a call to them to perform some tasks on the DB side. Nothing will be returned from these SP's. You discussed implementing the SQL as a VO and gave me some code showing me how I might do this. You also mentioned that it is possible to create a method on the AppMod and call this from the JSP client. I need to know which method should work best for me and to get the code samples for the second option.

Here is the code I used for the custom method on my VO (same could be used from the app module rather than a specific VO). The stored procedure I am calling here performs some calculations and returns an integer value:

After adding the custom method to your appmoduleImpl.java file and rebuilt your BC4J project, do the following:
1. Select the Application Module object and choose Edit from the context menu.
2. Click on the Client Methods page. You should see the method you added in the Available list.
3. Select the method and shuttle it to the Selected list.
4. Click Finish. You should see a new file generated under the application module object node in the Navigator named appmodule.java that contains the client stubs for your method.
5. Save and rebuild your BC4J project.
I wrote a custom web bean to use from my JSP page to call the method on my VO:

I just call the render method on this custom web bean from the JSP. I am not passing parameters to the render method of the bean, but instead access the parameters I need from the session:
session.getValue("m").toString()
I set these session parameters from the JSP that is called when the user submits their query criteria form. For example:

Got a whole bunch of unusual melodic instrument melody samples 4 - 8 second each.
All are only in 2 keys: C and B for instance.
Putting a song in Db - have to - vocalist sang there... the samples will just hover around the music at times...
How on earth should I transpose the sample regions (Instrument melodies). I've been told time & pitch machine - every 100 cents is a semi-tone. Also read that Pitch 'n Time LE by Serato is the way to go - due to more accurate sound?? Samples are 16 & 24 bit.

I would just use the drive "as is" in as one volume / partition and see how it goes. And keep a 2nd drive (Firewire?) as backup for your files.
It doesn't sound like you need to or want to have a multi drive setup for performance and a single drive partition is easy to manage, backup and should handle basic needs fine.
Partitions are useful more when using multiple drives actually, unless you just want to organize and isolate or have option of reinstalling the OS or something and not have to deal with restoring data and media files.
Just be sure that your backup drive(s) are large enough for what you plan to store on your main drive probably. I try to buy drives in pairs for that reason.

Help needed Regarding MedRec sample code

The phrase "downloadable zip" near the end of this line is a link
that is supposed to provide you with the zip file. When I click
on this link I get the file to save as sample.zip. Files get
downloaded but when I try to unzip it,
I encounter error messages :

Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive.

Precisely why I use PPro now. FCP is a headache at best...but this...there is no logical reason why this would happen.
...borrowed a friends macbook pro w/ FCP 7, it opened...migrated the XML files to PPro...all done now.

Need to seperate data aray into samples of 100 at a time to run through kurtosis and plot

I am trying to build a vi that will take in a file and build an array (this part done) from it. from the array, I need to take samples of 100 and run kurtosis on and build an array of results for entire data set and possibly plot kurtosis values. any ideas? I have attached what i have so far. I keep getting errors for the kurtosis VI, not sure what the problem is.

Your program does not make a lot of sense. Why use a while loop that chops through your data in nanoseconds (=way before you have a chance to press the stop button!) and runs out of data equally quickly, leaving you nothing at the output tunnel. Why is your kurtosis indicator EXT datatype???
The number of segments is exactly known, so the loop must stop after a known number of iterations. Since the number of iterations is size/100 (possibly rounded up), you need a FOR loop, or even easier, reshape the 1D array to a 2D array where each row is size 100 (see attached).
Now simply loop through your segments and built an array of results at the output tunnel.
Here's a quick draft example (LV 9.0), modify as needed. Since you did not include the subVIs, I skipped them and faked some data instead. I added some extra graphs for troubleshooting. Delete them once you are happy with the code.
