NEED PARAMETER PASSING SAMPLE INSTALLATION ZIP FILE...

Hello All,
I was viewing the following page:
http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/PDK/
articles/guidelines.parameter.passing.html
Near the end of the page it reads, "For a detailed PL/SQL portlet
sample, see the Parameter Passing sample included in the PL/SQL
section including the Parameter Passing Sample Installation
article and check out the source code in the downloadable zip
file."
The phrase "downloadable zip" near the end of this line is a link
that is supposed to provide you with the zip file. When I click
on this link I get the file to save as sample.zip. Files get
downloaded but when I try to unzip it,
I encounter error messages :
Missing 1 bytes in Zip file (attempting to process anyway).
Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive.
If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again.

let say i have a code as below:
public void init()
      String rootDirectory = JOptionPane.showInputDialog( this,
         "Please enter a directory name:" );
      FileTreePanel panel = new FileTreePanel( rootDirectory );
      getContentPane().add( panel );
   }and i use this code to call the batch file:
import java.io.IOException;
public class callbatch{
     public static void main(String args[]) {
          try {
               Runtime runtime=Runtime.getRuntime();
               Process process=runtime.exec("cmd /c start callnvcc.bat");
               catch(IOException ioe) {
                    System.out.println(ioe);
     }how can i pass the rootDirectory into my callnvcc.bat?

    Hi all,
    Just a simple question, where can I find the com.sap.b1i.sample.bizflow.zip? It should've been published a long time ago... and now I really want it badly! Eddy? Felipe (if you're still alive)? Dhruv (just in case)? Also needing the com.sap.b1i.sample.ipo.zip.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Need to Pass filename for archived file to FTP adapter using SynchRead

    Hi
    I am archiving the source file which i am reading using an FTP adapter, Operation- SynchRead.
    In my case as the source filename is dynamic( abc_<timestamp>.xml) hence before the SynchRead, I am using a FTP List adapter to get the filename.
    Currently,the archived file is getting name in pattern: encryptedToken_yyyymmdd_hhmmss.(e.g. wQ2c3w7Cj7Y6irWnRKqEu77_jD7kLtj6Uc0QCZIyjC4=_20121122_012453_0305)
    I need to pass the sourceFilename(which i am getting from FTPList adapter) for the archived file also.
    Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hi Neeraj,
    While trying the above alternative, i am facing an issue when my source file is a .csv file. The file is getting recreated with the original filename and file content but without header.
    As per the requirement i need the original file to be recreated. The header of .csv file has the field names.
    Please let me know how should i configure my FTP adapter to read the header of the .csv file as well.
    Thanks,

  • The solaris 8 (sparc) installation zip file corrupted

    I have downloaded twice the zip file from sun website.
    but everytime the file can not extracted by winzip.

    Hi, Thanks for the reply,
    The Install appears to work OK, but when I execute

    knowing if other apparently successful installs have the same ZipException,

    Hi.
    Definitely sounds like your file is corrupted. This should not be thecase. I downloaded this same file the other
    day and it installed ok for me. Try downloading once more (if you haven'talready done so). If you are still
    having problems then you should open a case with BEA support.

  • Alternative APIs for reading Zip files?

    Hi all.
    At the moment, our application handles zip files by copying the zip file to the temp directory and then creating a new ZipFile. However, the larger the zip file we encounter, the slower this copy becomes. We also need random access to the Zip file, so the usual workaround of using ZipInputStream is also slow, although slightly faster for random access than copying the entire file.
    I raised a bug requesting a better constructor for ZipFile, but it was turned down as they seemed to think I didn't want random access.
    But does anyone know of any alternative APIs which can access Zip files in a more random access fashion? I've discovered a few other alternative implementations of ZipFile, but all of them so far have had this issue of requiring a File.

    intensive. I am basically searching through zip
    files to find a file and then taking that inputstream
    for processing. I am basically looping through the
    zip file until i match the filename....pretty crazy.I think it is pretty I/O intensive...hence slower
    to see what I can do to increase performance. I am
    using the following parameters:
    -Xms512m -Xmx1024M -Xss16M -XX:ThreadStackSize=256
    -XX:MaxPermSize=256m
    Parameters look ok. I am not sure what -XX:ThreadStackSize will do as -Xss also sets the stack size? you can also try to pass -server and keep both Xms and Xmx to 1024 and see if it brings any improvement.

  • Extract files from a zip file

    Here is my scenario:
    I have a zip file, DataStore.zip, which as two layers of zip files.
                                         DataStore.zip
                                               |
               01.zip       02.zip         03.zip      04.zip etc

     etc
                         |
                cert1.zip   cert2.zip     cert3.zip     etc
    I need to search for  any cert.zip embedded at layer3, for which I have written the following program.
    I have two issues. First one is, when the files at level 1 (01.zip etc are written to the disk folder c:\ extract, it doesn't allow me to read back from that folder., I get "access to path c:\extract is denied". I researched and found that this
    is a security issue with windows 8 and 7. ( I tried both versions). How can I overcome this?
    second issue is, if in the  first read cycle  it fails with "unknown block type, stream may be corrupted", I need to bypass that corrupted zip file and continue, until I get my target file.

    Hi friend,
    We'd better to ask one question in each thread. If you have another issue, you can consider to open up a new thread in this forum.
    Now for the first question, do you mean this picture? It throws access exception in archive2.
    If so , because your extractPath is a path, not a directory.You should add +"xxx.zip". For more information, please refer to
    ZipFile.Open
    Method (String, ZipArchiveMode).
    For the second question, you can use the following code to skip the error message.
    while (true)
    try
    //do something;
    catch (Exception ex)
    { continue; }

  • How to open Zip Files in N900 ?

    Hi Guys,
    I wanted to know how to open Zip files in N900 ? is there a App available for it or what ?
    Thanks

    if you have rootsh installed, open up xterm and run these commands
    root
    apt-get install unzip-fm
    apt-get install unrar-fm
    as in the link from aspergerguy, you need the extra catalogs installed.
    once you have them installed you just need to click on the zipped file then it will unzip it to a folder of the same name

  • Need urgent help with creating .war file ...

    My boss gave me one day to create an app. that runs on Apache Tomcat 4.0.6. I managed to get it done, but now I'm trying to move it from my machine to the web server. Each time I try to create a .war file I get an error saying "no such file or directory". Am I missing a step here??
    What I do is: go to the webapps/<appname> directory where the app. is located, type in jar cvf * path/to/application/appname.war.
    I then get the "no such file..." message, then a message that says "added manifest" then lines on the screen that say adding: blah blah file. It goes through all the files in my app directory but I get no resulting .war file.
    I'm so frustrated and confused at this point, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    >
    What I do is: go to the webapps/<appname> directory
    where the app. is located, type in jar cvf *
    path/to/application/appname.war. No need to create an intermediate zip file, or to use JDeveloper to create a simple war file.
    You just need to put the WAR name before the list of files.
    jar cvf appName.war *

    I was trying with correct password only but my Solaris is not able to recognize unzip -P command. Can you please let me know whether I need to install any patch on Solaris (my Solaris version is 9) for this command.
    Basic requirement: password protected zip files comes to our application and those need to be unzipped to one particular location. As we are using JAVA/J2EE in our application, Can you please suggest any UNIX command (with example) for this requirement will be great.

  • Reader 9.0 on Vista associates itself with my .zip files ?!?!

    System: a Brand NEW (as in 3 days old) Vista machine (3 gig, dual core).
    When I install Adobe Reader, the first time, my .zip files are okay - I can use the built-in uncompress feature to open them. If I shut down and come back the next day, Reader is now associated with my .zip files so I can't open them. The only way is to uninstall reader. I don't want to have to keep uninstalling/reinstalling each time I need to either open a .zip file (which I do frequently) or read a .pdf file.
    I don't know what microsoft program to associate them with so I can unassociate the .zip files with Reader and use the built in uncompress command to open the .zip files. (I did find where to set file associations in Vista.)
    Can someone here help me?
    Thanks,
    Trish

    Okay,
    I found a "fix".
    To help others - there is a registry fix you can run - see this page:
    http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/105/1/File-association-fixes-for-Windows-Vista.html
    Follow the instructions on that page, and it does seem to fix it.
    Just note, the icon associated with the zip file may remain Adobe Reader, but if you right click, "Extract All" *will* show up on the list. (Extract All was *not* on the list when I booted up.)
    Vista is giving me a headache!
