    well the reason I wanted to talk to someone live because it would take forever to explain everything on here But anyway, here goes. I have an HP Pavilion Notebook with Intel Core i5-323om CPU @2.60 GHz and 8 gb ram 64bit. I am trying to run Lightroom 5.7 on my laptop and having major issues. I use an external hard drive for the storage of my photos. When I try to use Lightroom I run into many issues: Flickering of the screen, freezing up, slow, the loading circle just goes round and round lol. If I go to the washroom or leave the computer for even a minute it freezes up. I have to keep pressing Ctr/alt/delete to bring it back when it flickers. I have to constantly exit out of the program and restart it to be able to edit even just a couple of photos and then it starts acting up again.
    I have tried un-installing and re-installing, updating everything on my pc, changing compatibility settings, updating development settings, I even took the laptop into have it looked at and they did all kinds of updates etc...and still couldn't figure out why it wasn't working for me. I have gone through the lists of troubleshooting for LR problems and there just seem to be nothing that works.....I have made new catalogues, moved them, tried using the software on my pc without the EHD, etc etc.......I have tried EVERYTHING...I think.....so I was looking for some answers as to why this is happening....

    I have a general technical issue that I badly need to have addressed; it's not anything to do with any specific device, which is where I'm running into trouble. It's an ongoing problem, and there should be a generic customer support area that can take my call if it's not for a device. I don't want to call the Apple store and see if they can redirect me unless that is truly the only option.
    It's an issue with MacBook/Pro power cords, and has been a problem over the five years I've had these various laptops. At least five different cords have been involved, and I'm about to have two more unusable ones on my hands, with two laptops in the house that need to be powered. If I have to buy new cords, then so be it, but I would really like to talk to Apple first and see if they can address WHY these cords keep failing in different ways.

    What if one of the power cords that was actually still working for me was from the Macbook (which is no longer in my possession)? What would you reccommend I do then? There's no serial number to refer to, it would just be an isolated piece of hardware.
    Contact Apple if it's still under warranty, or go in to an Apple Store or AASP.

    Our family came home from vacation yesterday. They disconnected our service since we couldn't pay our bill on time. (We pay our bill online but we didn't have Internet access.) I paid the overdue balance and the phone is still disconnected. Verizon's lovely reps are not even present to talk to during the long weekend. We have no way to access any customer service reps. They don't seem to care that a landline phone is necessary for emergencies. All they want is money. My 80 year old mother lives with us so we need the phone. I have been a faithful customer for years... If this keeps up, I'll change to Comcast phone and Internet. I shouldn't be penalized because I missed my bill once out of all the time I've had this service.

    These boards are peer-to-peer user forums.   Your issue will require Verizon customer service to assist you.   You need to call them.
    Next time, you might want to consider scheduling your payment in advance when you will be away.  Both Verizon and most all online payment services via banks/credit unions allow you to schedule a payment for future delivery.   Better still, put recurring monthly bills on auto-payment so you don't need to worry about it.
