Need help contacting a real live PERSON at Apple

I have a general technical issue that I badly need to have addressed; it's not anything to do with any specific device, which is where I'm running into trouble. It's an ongoing problem, and there should be a generic customer support area that can take my call if it's not for a device. I don't want to call the Apple store and see if they can redirect me unless that is truly the only option.
It's an issue with MacBook/Pro power cords, and has been a problem over the five years I've had these various laptops. At least five different cords have been involved, and I'm about to have two more unusable ones on my hands, with two laptops in the house that need to be powered. If I have to buy new cords, then so be it, but I would really like to talk to Apple first and see if they can address WHY these cords keep failing in different ways.

You don't understand. There is a one year hardware warranty. You state you have a 2011 MBP. We are still in 2011. That means your MBP is still under warranty. I don't know how much clearer I can make that, ya know?

when I have been having this problem under three different devices and at LEAST five different cords (I may have miscounted and forgotten one or something).

What if one of the power cords that was actually still working for me was from the Macbook (which is no longer in my possession)? What would you reccommend I do then? There's no serial number to refer to, it would just be an isolated piece of hardware.
Contact Apple if it's still under warranty, or go in to an Apple Store or AASP.

There are a whole lot of things in this world I'd like to be handled differently, but so far I have not found that hotline which allows me to simply call and change those things. (The clicking heels things hasn't been working so well either. )

I would simply resolve this by going to my closest Apple store, but my closest Apple store is two hours away, so how about no.
Well, at least consider it next time you're in the area, and also consider an AASP.
One other thing I wonder if you realize. We are just Apple users (somewhat) like you. We are not Apple. We are trying to help you. OK?

    I have several questions but my main one is this:
    I purchased CS5 several years ago for my MacBook Pro and iMac.  My MacBook Pro has been replaced with a new one (it was 4 years old).  Am I able to use the CS5 still?  I have the original packaging and serial numbers, just want to know if I can transfer the creative suite from my old computer to my new.
    I would LOVE to talk with a real live person about this and several other questions....is forum my only option?

    The forum is likely your only hope for getting real live people (yes, we are real and live) to talk to you though you can always try chat or telephone.  YOur product is likely to be hailed as no longer being supported by those resources though.
    You can install the software on the new machine and use your serial number to activate it.  You are allowed to have two activated installations, so if you like you can retain the original machine as a backup.  If not, then you can just open one of the applications and choose Help -> Deactivate to free up the activation for other use sometime.  Do not try to transfer from one machine to the other, it will not work - you need to install.

    In Office via wifi or enernet
    1. My account failed to login
    2. The other family account no issue
    In Office via hotspot from my iPhone using 3G
    1. all accounts are working
    At Home either wifi or 3G - No issue at all
    I called Apple in Hong Kong, they said there are many users reporting the same problem, and they are investigating. Suggested me to reset the router and changing password, both do not solve .

    If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

    I too have just had a bad experience at your Buford Ga store. In a rush I stopped by the store to do a pre-order on two movies in this week's ad. I have pre-order from this same store on several occasions only this time I seemed to run into a young clerk that didn't care.
    I stood in the customer service line and waited when it became my turn I approached the desk and announced my need. Before I could finish the clerk interrupt and told me that there was a kiosk in the video game department and I explain that I i checked there and there were no movies shown there for pre-order. After gazing around a moment he then turned to me "smugly" and announced that I would have to go and get in to the pick-up line which was eight customers deep. Now I am getting very upset and exclaimed that I was there for pick but to pre-order, a customer service function. He then again smugly told me that the only register setup for pre-order was the pick-up register. I as stated before I have pre-order from the same store previously and used the same registrar he was standing at! Now I became very and completely angry. I honestly felt he did not want to do the pre-order and shouted at him and stormed off.
    Feeling like a heel, I went to my car and on the way home felt like I need to contact someone. Why customer service has not always been an issue at this store for me I have not been happy with the service provided before but tonight was extraordinary case the clerk just didn't seem to care.
    While I do not want any action taken against the clerk (i gave him a piece of my mind) I would hope the experience would be relayed to the Store Manager. If what the clerk stated is true, why would only one register be dedicated to the service and it would be the store pick-up, does this make sense, of course not not this time of year. Also the clerk did not even seem to know pre-orders were even done at there. Lastly I apologize for my behavior in the store and hope this doesn't fall on def ears.

    I love pre-ordering movies, games, and especially CDs (yes, I still prefer physical CDs) to ensure I can get them as close to release as possible! I can imagine you were quite excited to place your pre-order for a couple of movies, and expected this to be a pleasant experience.

    heres the deal whenever i try to download windows media players for mac, all that comes up is like an icon that looks like a sheet of paper. Then scripteditor or sumthin like that opens and says its unscriptable(whatever that means). seriously guys i need help im not some guy who spends hours on a computer everyday. i just wanted a computer that would work and everthing but this works.

    hi everyone, I have few things to ask about Labview Real Time.
    1. after searching and reading, I've come into conclusion: I need to work under Labview RT to have a while loop to iterate at 1MHz speed, is it correct?
    2. how do I know if LV-RT is installed in my PC? I've seen my MAX, I saw so many softwares installed, but I didn't see any RT installed, is it NI-RIO?
    3. in my function palette, I have Real Time VI's. But I can't put simply this  in a while loop and put 1 us as wait time. 
    I have PXI chassis PXIe-1082, and I want to generate serial digital data using PXIe 6544.
    And I need to write my data faster than 1 ms (like 100us) . How to do this?
    My PC specs are Intel 2x 2,6GHz; RAM 2GB; Windows 7, 32 bit; my Labview version is 2010.
    Any helps are appreciated.

    I'm actually doing a project in university, where my supervisor has bought the devices for his project and I just need to search in internet & forum of how to make it work. And too bad he doesnt really know how to program Labview, so I keep asking somewhere else like in forum and emailing NI for support.
    I've seen the examples, and I have generated my waveform using 40MHz clock rate, for each data, I'm writing it with an array of 40 bits boolean which takes 40 x 25 ns = 1us for one data generation.
    So, simply said, I'm using buffer of 40 bits boolean. Then I'm using the index of FOR loop as a counter, I treat this counter as the step of the ramp, then I convert into digital waveform.
    So, if I'm generating without any quotient&remainder block function, each steps would be generated after every 1us of time elapsed.
    And if I'm (for example) using 10 with quotient&remainder, each steps would be generated after every 10us of time elapsed. 
    With that trick, I should be able to change the quotient input (lets say T1) as big as I want (as delay) between each generation, with the fastest rate = 1us, right?
    I'm saving the waveform into TDMS file and checked, that the generation is fine. But I just got a feeling, with using FOR loop, it takes time to generate my waveforms.
    I've tried to change T1 into 1000, which means, it should generate each step in every 1000 x 1us = 1ms; and generation of 256 steps should be done in 256 ms, right? I've checked the TDMS and it looks fine, but just, the duration took longer than it should be. I think it takes like 256ms per steps instead of 256ms for all steps. I don't know, I think I shouldn't use FOR loop either.

    So I'm having trouble starting up my Time Machine, and nothing on here addresses my issue. Is there an actual way to talk to someone live at Apple without having to fork over more money? I cant seem to get the online thing to get me to talk to someone, and every other venue I've tried leads me to believe i have to pay to get actual help.... which seems absolutely ridiculous considering this thing is 500 bucks.

  • Need help contacting Apple customer service to order Leopard&mdash;if available

    For the last couple of days I have been unsuccessfully trying the various phone number for Apple customer service given on these board by several very helpful contributors.  I've also tried the numbers listed on the Apple web site.
    The recorded announcements say either that I have reached a texting number or a discontinued number that is no longer in service.
    Does anyone have a valid number?
    I need a leopard retail install disc for my G5 Quad and for my MDD Dual G4, just in case I should ever need Leopard.  I'm sticking with Tiger on my main boot volume, as I want occassional access to Classic.
