I need a project

Hello,
Friends,
I am looking for a project on EJB's, if some body in this group would help me, a dummy project will also do, or guide me to some resource on the net waiting for u r response...
Abhi.

Pet store could be a good way to begin. Look at the pet store site. Can pretty much develop any application using J2EE. Payroll system, Order monitoring, HR etc. Create a fictitious company and development the system for it. Create a problem or need and provide a simple solution initially. Later you can improve it from there. Good luck.

  • Need some project titles that can be done in java servlets and jsp or ejb

    I am final year cs engg student. I have completed course in java,j2ee. I have done the library management project in servlet. I need some project titles for my final year project. My interests includes, networking, desktop applications.

    Saish wrote:
    I'm not sure how to help other than to advise you will probably have the best success with something that interests you personally. You mention desktop applications and networking. Perhaps start with something Swing (or JavaFX) and perhaps use that to monitor a network, detect intrusions, dynamically load balance, etc. Really, it's whatever will stimulate you through a long project. If you have an idea in mind, but are having difficulties with how to come up with a spiffy title, then post more detail, and we can try and help.
    - SaishThanks Saish for your nice response.
    Whether It is possible to implement the cloud computing ? Is it possible ?

  • ADVICE needed - FCPX projects -- FCP7 workflow (not X27)

    Hey all,
    I need some sage advice.
    I have been working on a huge project for over a year now on location in Bosnia.
    All footage has been shot on the 5D mrk3 and c300 cameras.
    My FCPX Workflow
    While on location I was importing / organizing / syncing / labeling and adding subtitles into FCPX.
    - I have each camera in it's own event and project.
    - I have the video synced (using Plural Eyes) with the Zoom audio files.
    - I have added subtitles from my translator using Annotation edit.
    - I have then used the TimeCode generator to give the entire sync'ed, subbed "master timeline" a consistent reference throughout and so I always know exactly where that clip lives in the "master timeline" once I start editing.
    - Lastly I have added the "file name" using the Text "right" generator in FCPX so I always know what day it is.
    I would then create a separate compound clip for all the video from that day, the external audio, and the subtitles. (so that is 3 Compound clips. (see pics below)
    Add the TimeCode and right text generators...
    Select all and make it all a C. Clip... I did this so nothing would shift.. the Subs would be in sync and the timecode would always be the same no matter how and where the footage was used....
    My Question / Challenge
    OK so now my producers have found an editor and this editor needs to edit this project in FCP 7.
    I am in Chicago they are in Berlin... I will join them in Berlin but want to do as much prep work in the 1.5 months leading up to my travel date here in Chicago.
    They have all the footage and FCPX projects and events and now need to get them into FCP 7
    the app X to 7 does not import FCPX generators and has some quirks importing text (I am not sure how it will handle my subs as we are just beginning the import / converting process)
    What I don't want is to loose all the good work that I have done on my end to be organized and I absolutely NEED the subtitles included with the sync'd footage.
    Does anyone have any advice and / or know where I can turn to figure out what to do in this situation?
    the viewer with subs, timecode, and file stamp
    the timeline broken apart
    the timeline as compound clips

    @ Russ H
    Yeah I thought of that too...
    Just using the flatened verssion as a reference file that can be enabled and disapbled as necessary hoever like you pointed out that is "not ideal" AND would actually be pretty time consuming as I am dealing with
    45 Days of footage totalling 200+ hours...
    So it actually takes about an hour to render and export each 3-4 hour days of flattened footage.
    But that may be the best soltuion of the not so great options I have in front of me...
    @Meg The Dog
    Thanks, and yes I will be doing all of that sans the assistant editor.
    One of the largest issues is that I am not a FCPX expert so I can't do that...
    AND the budget is a bit tight to hire a second editor for this job PLUS it is in Berlin (I am in Chicago)
    So while I will be there for the editing process the lead / post time is going to be pretty tight and I need to make sure that all the footage is online, sync'd, subbed and ready to go once I step off the plane.
    I agree that in an ideal situation your suggestion would be best if the budget allowed for it...

  • Help needed recovering project files from trash

    Hi everyone, I am hoping that someone will be able to help me. I just did something stupid!
    I created two new projects in iMovie this morning and then needed to clear out the mac in order to speed up a clip as I was getting the warning that my disk was full. So I copied a lot of files from iPhoto onto a hard drive and then moved them to trash including the raw files that I was using for these projects. (I got a bit carried away!) Yes the video files were in iPhoto and not iMovie Events as the last time I uploaded files iMovie was not playing the game.
    The files are still on the mac as I have not emptied the trash and they are also backed up on an external drive connected to the mac, but I have emptied the iPhoto trash. I tried importing the files back into iPhoto from trash and only got so far before the disk full message came up again. But even those ones that I did manage to re import are not showing up.
    Is there any way that I can continue with these projects or have I effectively ruined them? Do I need to start again from scratch? I hope not as they took me hours and hours to create and had pretty much finished them.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :-)

    To see these "other" backups, you need the Browse Other Backup Disks or (Browse Other Time Machine Disks on Snow Leopard or Leopard) option.  It's available by Alt/Option-clicking the Time Machine icon in your Menubar, or by control-clicking (right-clicking) the Time Machine icon in your Dock.

  • Help needed for Project Work

    +People..I am new to this forum and your help is absolutely essential as it for my project work. There are two questions in my project. This is the second one. The first question is at the following thread.
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5220057
    Thanks in advance..+*
    This is the Question
    Create a class ToyCollection that stores information about different toys in a toy shop.  The information to be stored about a single toy is,
    -         Toy identification as String
    -         Name of the toy as String
    -         Short description about the toy as a String
    -         Price of the toy as float
    -         Quantity of the toy in hand as short integer.
    This class contains following methods,
    -         Constructor method that assigns user input values to above mentioned variables.
    -         main ( ) method that creates array of 4 objects of ToyCollection class and that takes input for all above details from the user and
    calls method to check validity of Quantity and Price values. If all values are valid then create the objects and display the details
    for all 4 toys.
    -         Method that checks validity of quantity and price. If the quantity is 0 or negative then method should throw user defined
    exception with appropriate message and come out of program. Similarly if the price is 0 or negative then it should throw user defined exception with appropriate message and come out of program.
    -         Method that displays all details about a single toy in the following format, e.g. Here Total price should be calculated.
    Toy Identification                  :  S-1
    Toy Name                            :  Small Scooter
    Toy Description                    :  Ordinary 3 wheeler scooter
    Toy price                              :   650.50
    Quantity in hand                    :   3
    Total price of Toys               :    1951.50
    And i did the following coding
    import java.io.*;
    import java.lang.*;
    public class ToyCollection
         public int toyid;
         public String toyname;
         public String toydetails;
         public float toyprice;
         public int toyquantity;
         public void setToyid(int tid)
              toyid = tid;
         public void setToyname(String tname)
              toyname = tname;
         public void setToydetails(String tdet)
              toydetails = tdet;
         public void setToyprice(float tpri)
              toyprice = tpri;
         public void setToyquantity(int tquan)
              toyquantity = tquan;
         public int getToyid()
              return toyid;
         public String getToyname()
              return toyname;
         public String getToydetails()
              return toydetails;
         public float getToyprice()
              return toyprice;
         public int getToyquantity()
              return toyquantity;
         public static void main(String args[])throws Exception
              ToyCollection a=new ToyCollection();
              System.out.println("Enter the Toy id");
              BufferedReader br1=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
              int tid=Integer.parseInt(br1.readLine());
              a.setToyid(tid);
              System.out.println("Enter the Toy name");
              BufferedReader br2=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
              String tname=br2.readLine();
              a.setToyname(tname);
              System.out.println("Enter the Toy details");
              BufferedReader br3=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
              String tdet=br3.readLine();
              a.setToydetails(tdet);
              System.out.println("Enter the Toy price");
              BufferedReader br4=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
              float tpri=Float.parseFloat(br4.readLine());
              a.setToyprice(tpri);
              System.out.println("Enter the Toy quantity");
              BufferedReader br5=new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));
              int tquan=Integer.parseInt(br5.readLine());
              a.setToyquantity(tquan);
              System.out.println("The Toy Attributed you entered are displayed below \n" + " ID :" + a.getToyid() + "\n " +" Name :" + a.getToyname() + "\n " + " Details :" + a.getToydetails() + "\n " + " Price :" + a.getToyprice() + "\n " + " Quantity :" + a.getToyquantity());
    I submitted the above coding and this was the response from the evaluator
    *"You need to create array of toys. You are accepting details of toy in a single line and your program ends."*
    Eagerly awaiting your reply at the earliest people.

    DrLaszloJamf , here is the question.

    What is the java code for the above ?

    com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.SOAPExceptionImpl: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.SOAPExceptionImpl: Invalid Content-Type:text/html. Is this an error message instead of a SOAP
    ....could someone help me out here ,even share a wprking project with this goal

    One time, after quitting IM and re-launching it later, my project disappeared from the project list.
    Apple Support told me to do this.
    1) quit IM
    2) with the finder, move the project out of the project directory
    3) launch IM
    4) quit IM
    5) with the finder, put the project back into the project directory
    6) launch IM
    My project re-appeared. He said these steps forces a project index to be rebuilt.
    Your symptoms are different but maybe the cure is the same --- good luck.

  • Help needed with project

    Hello everyone. Some help would be appreciated. I have created a wildlife resort database with access.
    It has an animals table with 5 entries, a species table with 3 entries and a user table with 3 entries.
    I have set up a JDBC-ODBC bridge.
    The server side of this application when run gets stuck upon pressing connect the first time so I have to run the server again while the first server window is running in the background and press connect for it to start running. The server works just fine after that. I can add and remove from the tables using the server.
    When I run the client and try to connect it, it doesn't accept the hostname. I can't connect or log in.
    I think the problem is with the threads but I'm not sure what to do to fix it.
    Also I use java beans for coding.
    These are some errors I get when running the client:

    Your code is completely unreliable and it should be placed inside a code block when you add it. Also your question would be better off in the JDBC forum than the networking one.

  • Labview Programmer needed for project work in Milwaukee Area or over the internet

    We have a project I need to get done before summers end and we have majotiy of the code. My company builds robotic systems which we use for industrial inspections mainly in the petrochemical industry.  These robotic systems work with a ultrasonic systems which we use to take thickness measurements of piping and pressure vessels using ultrasound.   We have the ultrasound equipment and most of the software as said previously, we just need it polished up and some additions made.  Here is a link from NI which is simular to what we do and you can even download the code and have a look at there code: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/3618 . Our code is a bit more complex but you get the picture.
    This position is not a full time position as of yet.  We are looking for someone to work with us on a contract basis for now. We need someone experienced with the following; Data aquisition, Data analysis, Experience with RF, USB comunication.  We perfer to hire somebody local but if we cant we can can do this over the internet.  If you are interested, give us a reply with contact info.  Thanks.
    Regards,
    Bill

        Bill,
    We are able to offer you the help you need on
    this.  I work for a LabVIEW/test-system consulting group based here out
    of Salt Lake City...not too far if a quick trip is needed.  Among the
    six of us, four of us are former NI employees and we count with a lot of LabVIEW experience and regularly do
    contract work, local and remote.  This sounds interesting and right up
    our alley as far as experience goes.  I'd refer you to our website for
    further info about different projects that we've done for many
    clients.  www.mooregoodideas.com.
    If this seems workable for
    you, feel free to shoot me a note at [email protected]  I'd be
    curious to know more about what you're after and how we can help you
    out.
    Thanks,
    Jim

  • Need Help - Projects Due Next Week!

    Hello all,
    I am trying to absorb all of the information available for ODI/ODP/ODQ. I have several Proof-Of-Concept projects due next week.
    The following are the project POC requirements:
    Scenarios:
    Duplicate Person - Based on a single source table, de-duplicate the records based on LastName plus 1st character of Firstname plus (DOB -or- SSN).
    Inconsistent Data - Single table with thousands of entries separated out by a "division". Each division could use a column for differing purposes. For example, Division A uses ColumnX as "Achievement Level" and Division B uses ColumnX as "Work Skills". There are two targets in this case. So I would have to route the records from Division A to TargetA, and records from Division B to TargetB.
    Dirty Data - Table containing "standard" code columns with invalid values. Need to compare these values to a code cross-reference table formatted like:
    CodeXRef Table
    Category VARCHAR(20)
    SourceCode VARCHAR(100)
    TargetCode VARCHAR(100)
    The standard code from the source table would be "looked up" in the CodeXRef table (by field category). The TargetCode value would be used to populate the target. If a match is not found in this case, I need to record the error and move on.
    Now to the problem - The install of Oracle DQ (which I assume I need for Scenario - Duplicate Person) does not work on my Windows XP machine (TSS Scheduler doesn't respond during install - see previous thread I have left). The install works on a Win 2003 server we have, but going through the DQ tutorial, on the last few pages, it gives instructions on how to export the sample project for ODI. However, after following the instructions I receive several errors (see a previous thread I left today). So far this tool does not seem to be ready to use, at least for Windows platforms. Does anyone have a few moments to help me out? Perhaps walk through fixing the install? Give best practices/tips on how to achieve the scenarios listed above in the short time frame I have?
    I have read the instruction manuals, read this forum (almost all threads) and still don't have answers. I have several types of Instant Messengers installed, so communications should not be an issue.
    Thanks!
    Ben

    Although the default action of the submit button is to send the data to the processing script identified in the action attribute, you don't want the form to be submitted when you're using Ajax.
    The following is a very simple script that outputs to the browser console the value entered in the form field. To keep the script simple, I have used the W3C Event model, so this won't work in IE 8 or earlier. But it should help you understand how to get the value from a form input field using JavaScript.
    <form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action="">
        <p>
            <input type="text" name="user_input" id="user_input">
        </p>
        <p>
            <input type="submit" name="submit" id="submit" value="Submit">
        </p>
    </form>
    <script>
    // Add event listener to submit button
    document.getElementById('submit').addEventListener('click', getVal, false);
    function getVal(e) {
        // Get the value of the input field
        var val = document.getElementById('user_input').value;
        // Output it to the console
        console.log(val);
        // Prevent the form from submitting
        e.preventDefault();
    </script>

  • Need J2ME project Help

    Hello everyone,
    I am a student and am in the process o f learning Java as part of my syllabus. A part of year work we have to a submit a live project...for that i have chosen a local organization that runs trains and provides electricity.
    All the information about the orgztn will be stored in the database like customer their ID and bill, and as for trains the area, frequency, stop name code...etc.....
    The customers can access the orgztns info via a mobile phone..so they can enter thier starting point and end point and the train number to borad along with the fare will be given, if the user wishes he can view a graphical route that the train will take to reach the destination(planning to use a JPEG image)...also they can view their electricity bills too and view graphical analysis of their consumption for the past one year....
    I ma completely new to J2ME as well as J2EE.....Please guide me as to how will i connnect my mobile J2ME app to my remote server that will in turn connect to database and retrieve the required info and give back to J2ME app.....
    how to I go on doing this...please help me as I am totally confused as to how will i build the system???
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Abigail Venturi

    That's quite a broad question. Here's the list of technologies I'd use....
    You'll likely need to use a client/server methodology...
    Server side: Create a servlet to connect to the database, and do all the work like route finding, image creation for the routes, etc. Store your info in a relational database like MySQL or whatever. Servlets run in a web server, I prefer jetty, but most web servers have support for Java servlets. You don't even need to use Servlets/Java, as you can use anything you want for server side. Pick what you are most familiar with php/cgi/java/etc
    Mobile: Just have a front end for user choices on the device, then send the choices to the server using an HttpConnection, and retrieve the results in the stream.
    The reason for doing everything on the server is simple: limited memory. If you are supposed to have a graphical representation of the route the user is going to take, you'll likely need more images than will fit on the mobile device. It depends on the detail required though. Also, a database of customers is probably too large in itself to fit on a mobile, and searching is most easily done using something like a relational database.

  • Query needed for projects??

    Hi ,

    Are you going to answer the question asked?... is it an Oracle Apps question? Then go to the Oracle Apps forum... the volunteers there have domain knowledge.. This is a "general" SQL and PL/SQL forum

  • Aging report - detailed needs invoice project code

    Dear All,
    Would it be possible for us to have project code (on A/R invoice header) on Aging report - detailed print layout? I found all fields in Aging report - detailed PLD are sys var. Is there a way for us to figure out which sys var is for project code of the invoice? Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Yuka

    Unfortunately you can't, you have to recreate it using crystal. In all SAP std reports you only able to show/print what it already shows.

  • Help needed with project setting (640x480 30FPS)

    Hi
    I am sorry if this is a simple question, I am new to PE and video editing
    I have just purchased PE9 and working on a small project to put togather a family movie.
    The vide sources is from a Panasonic DMC-FZ28 camera, and looking at the file properties it is 640/480 (30 or 29.xx FPS depending how you look). the file is a .mov file.
    I keep reading about how important getting the project setting but I can not find anything suitable which is surprising as the format is not particulary odd.
    Having checked a few postings, I've seen recommendations to selects NTSC DSLR 480p 640x480, however, when I start a new project and look at projects settings avaiable under NTSC/DSLR there is a 480p 640x480 option but at 60 (or 59.94) FPS.
    Can you please recommend an appropropriate setting
    Many thanks

    Have a look at part 1 of my Basic Training for Premiere Elements tutorial series for Premiere Elements support site Muvipix.com.
    It will show you how to set up your project for NTSC 640x480p60 DSLR video (about as close as you can get to your specs).
    If that doesn't work, try experimenting by shooting in 1280x720 and using that DSLR setting.
    Also ensure that you have the latest version of Quicktime from Apple.

  • Help needed ASAP -- Project file won't open

    Stuck in Africa right now (can't call telephone support).
    I am volunteering on a medical/dental trip and am in charge of the final nights video.
    Here is the problem.
    I am almost done with the video (15 minutes long -- full HD) and suddenly the when I click on the project from the project library it won't open.
    all the other projects open fine. Just this one project won't.
    when I click on it, the project library slides to the side, but behind it is another project library, but when I mouse over it plays the movie, but it is un-editable in this state.
    It was working great until this dreadful moment....
    I saw another post about deleting the thumbnails for an EVENT that was having problems. Can this be done with a PROJECT file?
    The big movie presentation/trip is in 12 hours....
    Can anyone help me???

    One time, after quitting IM and re-launching it later, my project disappeared from the project list.
    Apple Support told me to do this.
    1) quit IM
    2) with the finder, move the project out of the project directory
    3) launch IM
    4) quit IM
    5) with the finder, put the project back into the project directory
    6) launch IM
    My project re-appeared. He said these steps forces a project index to be rebuilt.
    Your symptoms are different but maybe the cure is the same --- good luck.
