I need my Popup Window to be at the Center of the Screen - help

Please tell me how can I popup a new window at the center of the screen. I know to position at particular x,y point, using top, left parameters in the window.open() function, but I need to get the center point of the screen. I need to get maxX and maxY value.

An unknown error occured (13019)). I click "Device" on my iTunes Library to make sure the song was in my iPod. It showed the song that was recently synced now listed under "Device", but when I physically looked for the song on my iPod Touch, it does not appear on there at all. It all started when I decided to put a Playlist I created in the iTunes Library and transferred it on to my iPod. Do you know why it may affected my syncing process and is there any way where I could get the syncing function back to normal so that I can continue adding songs on my iPod? Thank you for listening. P.S. My iPod iOS version is 4.3.5.

Thanks also Star 1. I have gone the route you suggest also but with the same results as I explained to the hatter. I have about a dozen die-hard Windows friends and they have been trying to help me also. We have tried everything and I have read a several pages on how to do it but nothing looks like what they are saying it does. When in Vista, Vista says it is the default SU OS. When in XP, XP says it is the default SU OS. So there is nothing to change. Only the Windows Boot Manager (which is really not a manager but a boot selector) shows Vista as default and XP next. I've learned again what I already knew. Windows is a conglomerated piece of crap that is hard as heck to use.

In a multiple monitor situation, how do I get popup windows to open on the same monitor as the parent application is displayed.

I have two monitors. I have an application that I run all day, displayed on my secondary monitor. Whenever a popup windows is launched form that application, it always opens on the primary monitor. Very annoying. Any way to get the popup to launch in on the same monitor as the parent application?

Blocking popup windows even when disabling the popup blocker

For quite some time now, Firefox has been blocking essential popup windows on my computer. It's not just those annoying ones, even those when I am trying to write an email and similar things. I have disabled the popup blocker and it does not change anything at all. It does not alert me that it has blocked anything either, it is simply as if I never clicked anything in the first place. I have tried adding exceptions to my popup blocker, and this does not work either. This is really frustrating and is interfering with my daily use of firefox, and forces me to use crappy explorer which does not block things. What can I do?

I do not agree as customer support is good, its good... but idiot thing is we buyed the laptop from Toshiba, which is money minded,...if toshiba knows that after customer system drive is corrupted /erased accidently then no chance of getting the paid version of OS restoring...
1. then why dont toshiba provided already a recovery CD before only..
or
2. they should have informed as pre-condition/pre-caution that if Hard Drive got erased then Toshiba cannot provide the product ID also which a customer is paying.
i think toshiba should should value the customers money also & should keep inform the customers unwanted loss with pruchasing toshiba... as I would have atleast prepared the Backup-restor CD if i was warned after purchasing....atleast..

I need to get into my phone, but the screen is completely unresponsive.

I have the iPhone 4 and a few months ago, I dropped my phone and the screen shattered. Now the screen is completely unresponsive and I would like to access my contacts, texts, calls, etc.. Is there anyway I could get into all of that through iTunes or at least my computer?
It's been this way for about a week and the texts and calls are flooding in and I can't even let these people know my phone doesn't work. Which *****.
*I don't have the money to replace/fix my phone at the moment, so I need to find an alternative.

You cannot access the phone via the computer. You could try and backup the phone and try and access the backup via a 3rd party software, however most of them cost. Touchcopy is a good one to see the texts, but I'm not sure it will allow you to look at the call lists.
I suggest you find a dumbphone so you can at least handle texts and call since you cannot afford to fix the device right now.

Need to add new Text Field on the Screen

You can do this with an unbound item on a View Form. You cannot do it at all for an Insert Form. There is a work around but takes a little explaining for the Insert Form. You need to create a web page from the insert form html, modify it manually. I do it as a simple procedure so it is consistent with the rest of the application. Then all menus, links, etc. need to reference that page instead of the FormInsert procedure in the generated package.
There may be other work arounds. Without knowing more about your requirements, I can't say.

Finder window resizing lower left corner is off the screen - Help!

Moving from a 17" PowerBook to the 13" MBA, my Finder windows are too big. If I could only change my default window size from the 17" to the 13" I could Command-A Command-C Command-V the contents of my larger old windows to the smaller new screen...or a global resize of the windows would be even better. Any suggestions?

That won't work when it is too big and off the screen.
You have to click OPTION and the GREEN button to be able to resize it when it's off the screen.

Since upgrading to Yosemite, when I try to compose a new message, the window is wider than the screen and I can't adjust the width.

Ever since I upgraded to Yosemite on my MacBook Air, I cannot get the mail window to adjust to a size that fits my screen. It is wider than the screen size and although I can adjust the height, the adjustment arrows will not adjust the width. I am not having the same problem with my mac mini since I upgraded that computer. This is a pain because I spend most of my time on my air sending out e-mails to clients

It appears you are experiencing issues with window sizes and displays. Have you attempted to adjust your resolution at any point? That may be why the windows aren't managed properly. The following article may help you find a solution:

Your display’s resolution determines the size of text and objects on your screen. By default, the resolution on your display is set to show the sharpest text and the most detailed images. While it’s best to use the default resolution, you can manually set the resolution to make text and objects appear larger on your screen, or adjust it to make text and objects appear smaller so you have more space on your screen.
Depending on how you adjust the resolution, some apps may not fit entirely on the screen. Using a scaled resolution may affect performance.
Set the resolution for your primary display
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display.
Select Scaled, then select one of the scaled resolution options.
Set the resolution for a connected display
If you have more than one display, additional resolution options are available.
After the display is connected, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Display.

Windows moving spontaneously to the screen bottom - only title bar visible

I have this odd behavior on my MBP after installing Lion. I'll be replying to a message in Mail or moving a window in finder ... and suddenly the window disappears. Sometimes I find it down at the bottom left of the screen, with only the title bar showing. Other times, it will "walk" to the bottom of the screen on its own ... a "stutter step at a time," while I try in vain to stop it.
In Mail, this will tend to happen if I start typing in the reply before the Genie has openened the message all the way. In the Finder, it seems to happen if I move a window too quickly to the edge of a screen or across to my second monitor.
It's slightly maddening, and a real waste of time as I watch helplessly as windows march their way to the bottom of the screen. Any help is much appreciated.

Hmmm ... Replying to my own message.
After booting into safe mode, and seeing no problem, I began adding back my login items one at a time.
It appears that the issues is with MenuEverywhere and 10.7 or 10.7.1. Disable ME and all is well.
I've opened a ticket with Binary Bakery.
