I need to change our installation of Webi 6.5 to use SSL

I've got a 4-yr-old Webintelligence 6.5.1 installation that currently does not use SSL. Our customer has requested that we add a certificate and use SSL and I'm wondering where to start. We are using Weblogic 8.1 as the web server.

Hi Kevin,
Sounds like you want to enable SSL between the client machine and the Web/Java Application server. This is considered third party configuration and the conversation can be quite lengthily depending on what the business requirements are. I have used this document in the past to setup WebLogic with SSL here: [http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/secmanage/ssl.html].
If you are looking to use SSL communications between the 6.5 Business Objects processes then you are out of luck as that does not exist until the XI and greater versions of the product.

I need to change some code within the GET_QUERY_RESULT Method, which is found:
BSP->Z_CRM_IC
View->AuiSearch
Controller class ZL_CRM_IC_AuiSearch_impl
Method do_handle_event
Method eh_onsearch
Method get_query_result
At present the method get_query_result belongs to class CL_CRM_AUI_QUERY_SERVICE.
I can create a subclass from this and call it ZL_CRM_AUI_QUERY_SERVIC, then redefine the method get_query_class, and then make the appropriate changes. But that may be all uneccessary. What I don't know is how to ensure this modified code can be called.
I have already made changes for method DO_INIT_CONTEXT, hence the reason the controller class ZL_CRM_IC_AUISEARCH_IMPL is identified. But this was simple because the view linked directly to this whereas you can see the code I need to change is further down in process chain.
I know that method get_query_result calls a number of BADI's, but these BADI's are too low for the information that I need and therfore really need to make my code changes in the get_query_result method.
I have been reading as much as I can on this subject, but without much success and therefore really count on experienced developers like yourselves to steer me in the right direction, or give advice.

I will not suggest to put your Enhancements into CL_CRM_AUI_QUERY_SERVICE.
Rather in Component BT -> Class CL_CRM_BTIL . AUi Query Service will Internally call the BOL Component ( get query result )
In your Framework Profile Config , you specify the Component Set . Ex: ALL
Component set have a List of Component Ex BP , BT .
SPRO-> CRM -> CRM Cross Application Components -> Generic Interaction layer -> Basic Settings
Now you can have your Custom , Component Set ( Ex : ZALL ) and Component ( ( Ex ; ZBT , Totally advisable for CIC Development Framework )
Have BT Copied into ZBT and Specify ZL_CRM_BTIL ( Inherited from CL_CRM_BTIL )
And in your Custom Component Set , Specify ZBT instead of BT .
Now Specify your Custom Component Set in your Framework Profile .
Now you got the Enhancement Spot in ZL_CRM_BTIL->GET_QUERY_RESULT

Why does Verizon find the need to change the look of web pages and divert you to other pages?

Why is it that verizon can't leave well enough alone! It seems everytime I log in I can't, because verizon wants me to go to another page or change my info, I just want my email, I don't want to learn about new products and new offers, If there is a time I feel te need, I will come looking, don't shove it down my throat! Another big problem is when they force you to change something before they will let you accesss your email, reminds me of a trick the Russians pull! (If you know what I mean!) If I wanted my page to look like microsofts page ,I would have their service. If you feel the need to change so often, maybe you are in the wrong business!

It can be annoying, but I think their motivation is good. They are trying to make things better for their customers and I think they have, even though sometimes it is annoying. I think it would be nice if they would advise us when the pages are going to be down for maintenance, In the mean time, you could have another E mail account so you can always get access to your E mail.

Performance Point Cascading filter challange - Can it be done? If not, we need to change our BI front end!!

My challenge at the moment is that I need to create a dynamic filter. To explain this is a cascading filter but not your normal cascading filter,
ie, Year/Month/day etc.
Here we have a single Dimension, Organisation. It contains every level of a business,
Site,
Dept,
Company name,
Division
Holding
Strategic Area
From these as a default we have 4 built hierarchies with a different combination of the above.
Activity (Strategic Area, Dept)
Organisation (company Name, site, Dept)
Sites (Division, Site)
Holdings(Holding, Strategic Area, site, Dept)
At any given time we have have additional Hierarchies created within the Dimension, further adding to the hierarchy list.
We now have a challenge where we require our users to be able to in the first filter select the Hierarchy they want to use, ie, Holdings, Site, Organisation
or Activity. This should then cascade to the second filter and contain the relevant hierarchy and levels as a multi select filter. Of course this also needs to be connected to number of graphs, charts and scorecards on the page, dynamically.
I have gone around the houses to get this to work but not having any luck. Tried the variety of filters available, MDX, member selection, tabular,
SharePoint, and attempted to mix and match to get this to work. I cannot find a way but I don't believe this is not possible.
If it is not possible we must look around for another front end solution for our BI Dashboards which I would prefer to avoid. Any response or suggestion
would be much appreciated.

This is possible within PerformancePoint 2010. Filters can be cascading. There is one restriction that might affect you, and that is the cascade only works on the preceding level. For example, let's say you have 4 filters, Country, County, City, postcode,
that have been set up in PerformancePoint as cascading filters. Now when you choose a country, say United Kingdom, only Counties within the UK will be displayed. That's exactly as you could expect. However, now if you select Norfolk county, all the cities
with "Norfolk" county will be available. That's including the cities within "Norfolk" Massachusetts. This is because PerformancePoint cascading filters only work between two levels.

hi there iv just bought the blackberry curve 5200 and its seconed hand i think the phone was on contract before as iv put me contract sim in and all internet works aok but the problem is i need 2 get it working on pay as u goon o2 network iv done the diagnostic test in netwark settings and it says radio activation no signal level unknown network unknown ip address unknown icmp ping echo no blackberry registration no connected to blackberry no blackberry pin no i just cant work out what 2 do can u help me please thanks jason

IT admins need to update firefox installs in the organization, but we use security software to protect hard drives, so automatic updates don't work. Is there an UpdateFirefox.zip file?

We are using Centurion Smartshield to protect the hard drives on all PCs in our organization. This software reverts the state of all drives to a default setting with each reboot, so no updates will be retained. Also, staff do not have the permissions to install most software updates. The Centurion Smart Control Console provides a way to remotely execute updates, but they refer to an UpdateFirefox.zip file. I'm wondering if such a file is available from Firefox. I know updates are not provided in an MSI.

I believe the heavy reliance on the javax.net.ssl.keyStore system property is just wrong. An applet-local key manager for client-certificates would be really helpful.
The current (1.4) plugin design includes its own certificate management ui (control panel). I feel this is wrong design. Why is there no upcall available from the applet framework into the host/browser's certificate management? The same sort of thing happened with the move from awt to swing. The not-invented-here mentality? What's next, a special java filesystem? :) Luckily applets are normally kept away from files, but with the impending service-oriented world, with certificates being passed about like Amoeba capabilities, better integration of the plugin with the host's security management is going to be a sore need.

I need to change my password back to one I've used in the past year, how?

I lost my phone and it says offline. I changed my password right before I logged into findmyiphone and now it won't track it.

Go here and change the password: https://iforgot.apple.com. Then to change it on your devices you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new password. Note: deleting the account only deletes the account and any synced data from your device, not from iCloud. As long as you are singing back into the same account, your data will be synced back to your device when you sign back in.

What to specfify in CA Reporting services integration (Report server web service URL) when using SSL for both SharePoint and SSRS?

We are using Sharepoint 2010 and SQL Server reporting services 2008 R2.    We have the sharepoint site bound to port 443 using a certificate.   We also have the same certificate bound in the reporting services configuration manager's
web service URL tab.    In CA should we put the SSL URL or the non SSL URL?    Right now in CA it has the then non SSL URL,
http://fakehostname/ReportServer_REPORTSERVICE.     We have some sporadic issues and I am wondering if setting this to our SSL URL will help.    Please let me know

Hi. I need to change our daughter's email address which is currently an @me address. How do I change it? It is currently her first and last names and the school told her she need to change it to make it safer for her. I don't care if it stays an @me address or changes to an icloud address, it is the part before the @ sign that needs to be changed.

The Apple ID is used for: Settings>iTunes and App Stores
Settings>iClould
Settings>Messages>Sent and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>Game Center
You can go to those places and sing out and sing into the the new account
Note:
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

I need to change the installation from disk drive C to D as the earlier is now almost full.
Is there a way to transfer or do I need to uninstall first from C and then re-install in D?

Yes, its best to have each individual apple ids. You can also go to settings, messages, send and recieve, start new conversation from, make sure there is a check mark beside each of your own individual email, not the same one on each phone.

You have the option to chose before you setup the system ie, during the installation.
