I need to sync my iPod Nano 3rd Generation with my new iMac, but my old pc no longer works so I can't follow the instructions on the apple site. Is there any other way?

Following the instructions on the Apple website on how to transfer music to a new computer using your iPod, it basically says that you have to hook up your iPod to your old computer. Seeing as my old computer (a PC running Vista) died a horrible death and no longer works - including the hard drive being corrupted, I cannot do this. Is there a way to sync my iPod Nanop 3rd generation to my brand new iMac without losing all my music?

Major problem with Syncing my ipod nano 3rd generation! HELP PLZ!!!!!!

My computer had a virus and i had to reset windows, so all my music got wiped off the system.
i then reinstalled windows and itunes. the itunes library didn't import any music because there wasn't any music on my computer.
a few days ago, My ipod nano 3rd generation froze and i had to reset it, all my old music is on my ipod.
but when i try to sync new music from my library to my ipod - it doesn't work!!!!! It just keeps on saying that my ipod is synced with another library (not true) and that i can't sync it unless i wipe off all the music on my ipod.
PLEASE HELP!

Did everyone try the basic "5Rs" first? Mainly did you first try to reset the iPod and then if that didn't work, did you try to restore it?

You can restore that backup to a replacement iPhone, if that's what you're asking. If you want to extract data from the iPhone backup, you'll need third-party software to do so:

New iPod nano 3rd generation with Pioneer idk 01

When I try to use my iPod nano 3rd, on my Pioneer dock IDK 01, I can not see video and photo on my TV, it seems not recognise mi dock like video accessorie. But dock IDK 01 have video cable composite or S Video.

I'm using no adapter. It seats fine when you have aligned the plug/port correctly. I've gone back to a nano from an iPod (from a 2g nano) and wanted to get back to (a) carrying a smaller player and (b) not having to remove a player from its case before putting it in a dock (not that there's much in the way of cases for the 3g nano yet).
There IS a gap between the back of nano & the Logitech. I've been holding the top of the nano steady w/index finger and thumbing the wheel, which keeps it steady. When seated properly, the bottom of the wheel falls slightly below the front edge (between the speakers), which makes this move a little awkward.

So I didn't set up a rescue email for my Apple account because I forgot all my security questions and I can't create a new one, the only option is says is to call Apple but I don't talk a lot on the phone and I hate general phone conversations. Is there another quick way I can contact Apple about making a rescue email? Or a way that I can make a rescue email? I have £40 balance on my account and I can't buy anything without resetting these questions by making a rescue email.

You won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer your questions, you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset - contact is normally by phone as they need to confirm your id and that it's your account.

Will updating my iTunes stop me from syncing my iPod Nano 3rd Generation?

I have never updated my iTunes since I got my old Nano, and I'm scared that updating it will mean it won't work with my Nano anymore. I have recently got an iPhone 4 and in order to set up two seperate libraries for my iPod and iPhone, and iCloud I think I need to upate it.
Basically I need to know if it will cause issues with my iPod.

Using Ipod Nano 3rd generation with car kit

Just a simple question... I recently got an 8GB Ipod Nano... want to play it in my car with the Belkin car kit. Even with the volume turned up at max on my ipod I still have to turn up my cd player volume in the car high - is this normal? Also, is FM the best frequency? Confused... just want good quality listening. Thanks

I created new playlists in iTunes about 2 months ago and they synched to my Nano with no problems. I created a new playlist yesterday, plugged in the Nano via a USB and I can't get iTunes to synch with Nano. So the current playlists on it do not show up in iTunes and vice versa. You can try contacting Apple and explain that you have been using Windows PCs that last only a few months before failing. Perhaps they will make an exception to the 12 month wait.
