I notice even with Tunes on my device why is it streaming data
Im in the garage listening to some music on my iPad mini and my wifi in that area is a bit weak. I notice some skipping and turn off wifi and it plays fine. A few days later I'm in the garage again and all of the sudden my tunes skip again. I turn off Wifi and its fine again.
If my tunes are my device why is it streaming over wifi? Now with that in mind if I'm driving around in my truck and I have Cellular enabled is it streaming over my Cell service even though its on my Device? Sure I could turn off Cellular, but whats the point of storing files on our devices if it doesn't play off the device.
Am I just just bonkers or am I missing something here.

It's possible (and easy) to downgrade to the previous update, even with a non-rooted device.
I've just complete the downgrade on my non-rooted Galaxy S3 to the previous (MB1) version. It was easy to do and my phone is back to normal. I've never been one to mess around with rooting or otherwise modifying my phones and was a little intimidated, but everything went smooth as silk.

Good Luck with your refurbished phone we hope there are not other issues with it. I wonder why all this testing VZW does with the upgrades was or was not done cause this thing sounds bigger than just a handful of customers to me. I am one of the lucky ones with only issue with name caller ID thing which was really sneaky of VZW sending that out with the update but they did sort of give us a choice.

Middle clicking opens new tabs for each click and in some loads the clicked link and in other tabs opens google (home page)Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />

Slow render times even with more RAM...why?
I have a Quad core Mac Pro that I just upgraded the RAM on from 3G to 7G and can't see any improvement in render speeds, any idea why that would be? As a test I added a simple text box over a single layer of video, added a drop shadow to it (which then requires a render to view) and it didn't take any less time than it did before, about 10 seconds. Shouldn't this have been improved with $225 worth of memory?
If you're talking about editing speed, that's not "rendering." The goal is not to render at all. Really the best things you can do are: have all your material in the same codec, same size, same everything: then you'll have lot fewer of the timeline "bars" indicating rendering. Having a fast enough machine and drives means you can playback in realtime, or closer to it. Many of us are using one of the flavors of ProRes because it's tuned to the editing environment (as opposed to acquisition or distribution). The machines and processors can handle it. Having enough ram means the system does not have to swap out segments of memory to complete operations. As has been noted, FCP can't access all that much memory in the first place. But with too little memory, which doesn't appear to be your case, some of that memory is captured by the OS performing other duties.
I can run ProRes on an older MBP with 4 gigs total using an old Firewire 400 drive without any significant timeline rendering popping up. Of course I'm editing documentary work. I'm not trying to turn it into a Flame for compositing. -
I'm signed up to the Cloud and itunes match - the whole game. But I cam getting annoyed with having to delete songs one by one on my iPhone once dowloaded from the cloud as I only have a 16GB phone....yes I listen to music non-stop! So, I am thinking about getting an iPAD as I rarely use my MacBook Pro for anything other than surfing and music now... so the question is: "On an iPad with iTunes, do you know if you can edit/delete all your tunes on your device with a "clear all" button rather than having to delete a song one by one like you have to do on an iPhone (if not synching via a MacBook/ PC with iTunes account where I know you can clear down and refill with ease)????

There is no solution other than having the device cleared by the former owner. If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it. -
I can pair my iPhone 4 with my MacBook and my Macbook Pro but they will not connect. My iPhone keeps telling me it does not support this even with bluetooth turned on.The devices section keeps searching all the time. Is this an antenna problem? Or something else ?
Your iphone is right, it is not supported. The iphone's bluetooth protocols do not include file transfer, but are intendes only for headsets, stereo headphones, cars, and keyboards.

Can i erase my stolen macbook pro with find my mac even if it states the device was locked on a specific date (not by me) after being stolen?
Barry, the other stolen computer, my IMac does not show me a locked on such and such date, but simply says offline. I set that computer to erase when it goes online and notify me when it is found, and to play a tone and play a message that the police are on their way!

Test while started in Recovery : if the problem persists, then it likely is a hardware issue.
Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) probably won't change anything, but you can readily do it before contacting the repairers. -

More details about the problem : My computer is a Mid 2012 Mac Book pro 2.9GHz i7 processor with 8GB RAM updated to OS X v10.8.5
- I ran a compleet scan of my computer for any threats ( I used virus barrier express ) and there was nothing identified
- When I oppened the Activiti Monitor there are about 20-30 processes which I do not undersatand they are run under the user "root" 2 in perticular ( Kernel_task & fseventsd ) they both take up a lot of threads and kernel_task is constantly using 1.2 GB of "real memory" which is at least 20 times any other process that is running espesially the ones that run under the user "Apple" I do not know if this is causing the problems on my mac but i tryed to forces close it and it dose not even let me click the button, the others close but reopean immideatly. I will attach a screen shot of what i have mentioned here.
- The problems I am facing are mainly performance :- To state a few examples, my mac dose not seam to be able to handile even the smallest tasks like switching tabs on safari, typing any thing, playing a movie withought stopping inbetween, etc.. ( let me elaborate on why I said its not able to handil these tasks, it is because when I am trying to do any one of the afformentioned tasks inbetween the cursor becomes a rainbow collered spinning disk and I am unable to do anything for about 10 seckonds after which it starts to work again for some time before it happens again. )
- Another concern of mine is that my mac seems to be on even with the lid closed if I do not shut it down compleetly, if i just close the lid after some time the computer starts warming up, and the fan starts running. the battery is drained at the same rate or slightly less rate than it would have if i was using it normally with the lid opean. ( altough this is happning the screen dose not turn on untill the lid is opean again )
- I have only 300+ GB full out of my 750GB so i believe these are not issues caused by my mac's memory being full ( BUT THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THIS WAS HAPPNING WAS WHEN MY MEMORY WAS ABOUT 720GB FULL WHEN THESE ISSUES FIRST AROSE I IMMEADITLY DELEATED 400+GB OF MY USELESS FILES THAT I HAD BEEN HORDING ALL OF WHICH WERE MOVIES ) that about covers it all PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANY ONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO.
Ps: I apoligize if I have given too many unrelevant details, not enough usefull information and or if i was just all over the place with my explanations but I am really frustrated and was hoping not to miss anyting. Please let me know if any information at all is required and ill do my best to provide it.

That happens because photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, even though your last 1000 photo stream photos remain on your devices until deleted. When you enabled photo stream on your iPod 4, you only received photo stream photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud. If you want to stream these older photos to your new iPod, you will have to create a shared photo stream on your old one that contains these photos (requires iOS 6 or higher) and invite yourself as a subscriber, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99.

All windows/tabs aren't opening from last session, even with setting checked. What's wrong?
For a while now in Safari, if I have to close out the browser or restart my Mac for some reason, my previous tabs in Safari are not loading when I re-open Safari. I went online this week and did a change in Settings to where it would open up the option again in Safari to allow me to check "Reopen windows from last session", however, even with this selected, it did not re-open my tabs just now. This is such an unnecessary frustration and hassle. Can anyone please help?
Oh, and the "Reopen last closed session" and "Reopen all windows from last session" is grayed out and unelectable if I try to bring them back that way in History.Thank you Linc! I did do what you suggested, and it did work.
I noticed though (because I tried to close/re-open Safari several times to make sure it would consistently load my previous pages, that when I close the window but not the program) that I can "restore my previous session" or "last closed session" under the History menu if I merely close the window, but not the app/program although it doesn't automatically reload them; but, if I close the whole Safari app/program, when I re-open Safari it does reload all of my pages. I guess I'm writing that in case it helps someone else, but it can be confusing, and may be where my issue originally started.
Okay, another thing is, when I look in Safari preferences now (after your suggested changes), Safari doesn't give me the option of "Open new windows with previous session". Does that matter, I guess, if my previous pages/session are/is loading? It doesn't seem to make sense that that preference is missing in Safari now, but my pages reload. Just some musings. No rush to reply. I'm new to Mac, but I do like to understand how things work.
