I purchased a itunes gift card at walmart and after trying several times it kept stating code was invalid . Apple states it needs the card and the receipt where it was purchased and I cant find my reciept. has anyone had a similar problem and if so or if you know in any way to help me please comment. I have already emailed apple yesterday and havent heard back from them yet so that is why i turned to other apple customers as yourself hoping someone could help me resolve this because i need that money on my iphone! thank you so much!

Are you able to go back to the store that you bought it from and ask them to activate it properly ? Once you've successfully redeemed your card or certificate, the credit amount will appear in your iTunes Store account. Each time you purchase content, iTunes will deduct funds from the credit until it's depleted. You do not need to re-enter your gift card or certificate number to make multiple purchases.

What you normally should do is go back the retailer from whom you purchased the card and discuss the problem with them. They should either correctly activate the card or give you a new one. If they refuse to help, as some retailers do, or this was a gift so you cannot contact the retailer, go here:
iTunes Support
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

I couldnt redeem w/o an apple ID so when i did it asked for a credit card. And I want to discontinue and remove my account from itunes but it wont let me, there is no account discontinue or removal of account

My crashing has seemed to have ceased with a revert to an older version. I noticed today that the newer crashing iTunes had been launched for hours but not playing anything, when I played internet radio it crashed within 5mins, fed up I reverted to an older version.
