I purchased a new iphone (the 4) and the old phone was the 3.  I used the 4 before syncing the data from the 3. Lost all my data that was stored in the 4! how can I get it back?

Hi all,
I purchased a iphone 4 and replaced my iphone 3.  I started using the 4 before syncing the 3 because I didn't know how to do this.  I just figured out how to sync and was successful however, I have now lost all data (list of to do's, calendar, photos (etc...) that went on the 4 before the sync.  How can I get the data back?
Best!

YOur data maybe gone, unless you did a backup of your phone, which doesn't sound like you did.
