I have a 1st gen ipod shuffle, iTunes does not see it but my computer does, I am running windows 7 and I just want to restore the shuffle to factory default

So, I found out how to fix this issue. In "My Computer" right click on the iPod and format it. I chose to format it using FAT and Default allocation size. After that, I opened iTunes and it recognized my iPod Shuffle. It said it wasn't formatted properly but gave me the option to restore it to factory defaults which fixed everything. Way to go Self. If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.

Go into FF Preferences & set it to be your default browser. This way when you click on an email link in Chrome, FF will open.

I had an old crap laptop that wasn't apple and I used that for the past 2 years to sync my iPod but I have got rid of that and now I have an iMac. I have forgotton the 4 number digit passcode to my ipod and I have tried about 25 different combinations and I still cant get it right, so I just came to the conclusion that I have to reset the whole thing. I couldn't do it on my old laptop because it would keep running out of memory and I cant get it to connect to my new pc.

This should clear up on its own and allow you to delete the account, however it can take 3-5 days before this happens.
