I bought an iPhone 5 in the UK but want to use a UK and an Irish sim. However the Irish sim won't allow me to text to certain numbers in the UK ie those on blackberry or samsungs. Any ideas?

4-5 hours of battery life with heavy usage sounds about right. Modify your usage habits or charge your iPhone more frequently.
What did your wireless carrier say about your texting issue?
Your iPad has a larger and stronger wi-fi antenna. Your situation doesn't seem abnormal.
Train yourself to remember to turn your wi-fi on/off as needed. Set up a location based Reminder if that will help you.
Your cellular data connection issue combined with your reported texting issue suggests there is a problem on the wireless carrier side. Talk to them.

Seventy one is correct, you need to take this up with the manager of the store.
Ultimately, if the guy who handled the return at the store didn't enter it into the system correctly, or if the paperwork was somehow lost, or anything else along those lines, your refund receipt is the only thing you have proving that they owe you money. If you have lost that receipt, it's quite possible that you will have lost the money that it represents.
Go to the store. Talk to the manager. Try to recall which person at the store handled the return, and see if they remember you. Be polite but insistent, and remember that without the receipt, you are depending on those people to help you out.

I created some iBooks in iBooks Author, but when uploaded to iPad, cover graphics do not change when opening different books; they remain on same graphic from book to book even though content changes accordingly. Solutions?

I recently created a number of books using iBooks Author. They are all part of a larger project, but due to size issues, individual sections were broken up into separate e-books. Each one of these e-books has different content and different cover graphics to differentiate between sections. Once finished, I exported each of them as iBooks and then uploaded them to my iPad. On the Books screen, all the iBooks show up just fine with the appropriate cover graphic and titles. When I select one to enter, its cover graphic zooms in and then the book opens into the table of contents. However, the second book I open always reverts to the cover graphic from the first book I entered. It will access the right content, but the cover graphic pulls up as the wrong section, which may lead to some confusion (given the manner these books will be distributed). After leaving it alone for a little while, I can usually access another book and have it pull up the correct cover graphic, but when I enter the second book, the same problem resurfaces.
Any thoughts on how to fix or troubleshoot this?

Either creating a new file or saving the old as a template file & renaming it solved my problem.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you are running 64-bit Windows and the above steps haven't helped try installing the version of iTunes that can be downloaded from this support document. iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)

I recently installed the xbox 360 controller app so that I could play my rockband drums in logic and ableton live but I installed the wrong one and I was wondering if anyone knew how to uninstall it from the system preferences page and the whole program?

If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it and if anyone knows how to use the drum pads for those programs I mentioned would be great? I found a couple sites for using it with garageband but nothing as for mainly live and Im running OSX 10.6 so if anyone out there knows please let me know!!! The main reason I think I installed the wrong one is when I plug in the rockband drum kit to my usb port it dosen't show up in the xbox controller program but it lights up and I've tried all my different usb ports to see if that might be whats wrong but I still show nothing and I've also installed junXion and nothing shows up there either. it could be a motherboard problem. Last month I spilled liquid on to my iphone and since I didn't have warranty for it I had to take it to a "phone doctor". He fixed it but mentioned that motherboard is working fine but he can not say for sure for how long it will last, and that I may experience some wierd problems. I'm having this exact problem the day I got my iphone back.
Well no longer but the solution still seems wierd. I turned on the "location services" because I saw in the "system services" screen that "cell network search" was turned on. I figured if I don't screw with location services, it would be okay. So, after three hours, I terminated the sleep in 10-20-30 minutes and 1 hour intervals, it seems I no longer have the problem but I'm going to sleep over it to be sure. Also make sure to turn on the "auto" option on the "carrier" menu.
I will post the outcome if I don't forget about this page.

You first have to subscribe to iTunes Match through iTunes on your computer and have your music library in iTunes uploaded/matched before you can enable it on your iOS devices (see http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/). Without a computer you won't be able to use iTunes Match.
