     I recently bought and installed Adobe InDesign CS4. It does not have some fonts I want, e.g., Papyrus Bold. I copied it from the Windows XP Fonts folder into the InDesign Font folder, which, for starters, was empty (even though when I open the InDesign application its inherent fonts are available). I have gone to online Help and tried different things, but I still cannot get Papyrus Bold when I open my file.
     Where are the InDesign fonts stored, if not in the InDesign Fonts folder?
     How can I make the fonts that are in my Windows XP to be available in InDesign?

     Thanks for your quick reply.
     I don’t see why there should be a problem with the Papyrus font I copied from Windows, since it works just fine in Word.
It is listed in the Windows XP/Fonts folder as Open Type, although in brackets beneath it has “True Type.”
     Note: the Adobe InDesign Fonts folder was empty when I first viewed it (except for my attempted copies of Papyrus and a couple of Lucidas). Where are the inherent InDesign fonts stored, if not there?

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

Installing Adobe InDesign CS4.

I have previously purchased the Adobe Creative Suite 4. The discs are no longer working, and I need to re-install the programs onto my new computer. I have had this issue in the past and contacted Adobe to email me a link for me to download certain programs from the internet. I have my product code or key code still, but am not able to use the discs to re-install onto my new computer. This isn't an annoying pop-up. Rather, it is seriously telling you that it doesn't know that you have licensed the software, and it will continue to be a trial, and will stop when the 30 days are up.
So you must tell it that you have licensed the software.

copy your dvd installation files to a usb drive or external harddrive and install using it.

Yes. Get an adapter from the mini display port to HDMI and connect the HDMI cable to the TV. For audio you will need a separate connectors from you audio output port to the RCA connectors on the back of your TV. Use an extension and a 'Y' connector. If you MBP is a 2011 model then it will also transfer audio and a separate cable is not needed.

I am trying to download Adobe Reader, I have Windows 7 on my PC. Every time I get the download, I click on it to install the program, and I get the usual messages but I never get the install message. When I try the download again, I get a message telling me only one copy of the program can go on the computer. When I check the program list, it is not there. I have to restore my computer before I can attempt the download and install again. I have tried this at least 6 times but cannot install Adobe Reader. Please help me out with this. I really like this product and prefer to use it. I had o originally delete the program, due to an update conflict.

You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:

Adobe InDesign CS6 Plugin does not recognize .InDesignPlugin as a valid plugin

I have two complete labs that now have the below error messages when the user login. This suddenly started just a few days ago. No Adobe updates were applied to the lab in the labs month so it should not be related to an Adobe Update. With a couple test Macs I've made sure to have all OS X updates & Adobe updates applied and no luck. I've also gone as far as reinstalling the InDesign application separately with no change and then re-installing the entire CS 6 Suite with no change.
I've found search results with similar issues but with CS 5/5.5 and can not seem to find a solution or what caused this issue in the first place. My next step is to try uninstalling the entire Adobe CS 6 Suite and re-install. Hopefully by removing all Adobe files will help with a new install fix the issue.
Anyone else have any luck with a fix or even see this issue before?

I've fixed this issue in my labs by applying a permissions change to the Adobe InDesign folder. It may not be the "proper" fix but it fixed the job quickly. Via Apple Remote Desktop I applied the following command which gave full read/write access to everyone to the Adobe InDesign folder & all of it's contents. You could first try by just apply the permissions change to the Plug-in Folder it self which will probably work as well.
chmod -R 777 /Applications/Adobe\ InDesign\ CS6

I have installed Adobe Flash but firefox does not show as plugin

I have downloaded the most recent versions of Firefox (30.0) and Adobe Flash Player. The Adobe website tells me my flash player is installed and current but Firefox does not show it as a plug in and a site that requires flash player (google finance) to view charts does not work. The place for the chart remains blank after telling me it has loaded.

When a page is using a plugin, usually an icon similar to a piece of Lego appears in the address bar. You can click the logo to check that Flash is allowed to run on the page, or approve it to run if it isn't.

Does it matter whether you view it in a regular tab or in a private window? To view in a private window, right-click the link > Open Link in New Private Window.

Just re-installed Adobe Reader XI. Do not have ability to extract combine or rotate docs as I did previously. Is this a user issue am I not running latest version?

What probably happened here is that you installed Adobe Reader but before you were using Adobe Acrobat. Reader doesn't have these particular options.
You may still have your old version of Acrobat. Look around in your programs and you'll probably find it.

I am unable to retrieve spreadsheets. Numbers displays the "Welcome To Numbers" page but does not allow saved spreadsheets to be opened. It offers the "Open Recent" choice and displays saved file names but does not allow these files to be accessed.

I recently upgraded to Numbers 3.5.2. I have an older Macbook Pro (2009) and I run Yosemite 10.10.2. I am unable to open any saved files that were created with earlier versions of Numbers. When I open the Numbers app, I am offered the Welcome To Numbers page. When I choose the 'Open Recent' option, I am offered the greyed names of files that I had recently used, however, I am unable to open any of these files (no error message is displayed). Welcome To Numbers stays on the screen. I tried opening the app by clicking on the file name but it produced the same results. I am having a similar problem with Pages.   I suspect a compatibility problem between the new OSX and the new iWork offerings.   Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does it require a setting change or is it a bug?
