I recently set up an itunes account and provided my information HOWEVER I also provided an improper email address. Is there any way to recover the information? Please advise. Thanks.
Like the subject line says - I set up a new account in itunes. Put in my personal information (credit card, address) but - when it came time to provide my email address - I gave one that does not belong to me (similar to my name but not my correct address). Is there any way to retrieve the information I inputted OR put in my correct email address?

go to appleid.apple.com. Click on manage my acct. sign in using the email you provided (even if it is wrong, it is the one you provided, so technically it is your username.) Once you sign in, it should have your details right there, it will say "apple ID and primary email address" and to the irgh of that, it will say edit. choose edit, and provide the correct info.

No. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

As to whether you can work with Apple via email on this issue I can't say for sure, but you can contact them via this web page:

and see if they can help. It's mostly going to be an issue of you being able to prove to them that you are the account owner.

I have cs4 installed on my old computer, i have since lost the disk and serial #s. Is there any way to recover this information and install the programs on my new computer? I used my old computer for college and haven't used it in awhile, now I have a job that can benefit from having those programs. I was wondering if ADOBE keeps records or something to where I can download the programs on my new MacBook and use my old serial #s.

When my wife's Mac Book Pro was being updated to the latest version of OS X the laptop locked up at a grey screen with the Apple icon and status bar. I recently got my computer back from Geek Squad and about three fourths of my iTunes library is gone. All of the music I imported directly to this computer, and all of the music I purchased is here, but most of my library is originally from a family computer. I transferred it to this computer, but since i got it back, iTunes says it can't locate it. We don't have the family computer anymore either.
I do have all the music on my iPad though. Is there any way to transfer it back to my computer?Katy288 wrote:

If they were in iTunes on this computer and this backup is of this computer, they are from this computer.

We had our Mac Book Pro stolen and have not been able to recover the serial number from our Best Buy receipt. We did register it with Apple during the set-up and downloaded music on it thru ITunes. Any chance we can recover the serial number from somewhere? Any details would be helpful. Thank you!

I really need help with this question. Can someone please shed some light on this subject.
Let it dry thoroughly in a very dry environment for a couple of days and then try to charge it for more than 15 minutes. Then try to power it on again. I did the same and after two days my phone turned on and although I could not make calls or use data, and the screen was erratic, I was able to connect to iTunes with my Mac and do a backup of both contacts and stuff like photos, settings, etc. afterwards I was able to restore my new iPhone from the backup and I got almost everything back including notes.

I am hoping that someone can help me understand how it can be so easy to lose the last 2 years data on an iphone by synching to itunes for the first time since 2012? If this happens from itunes automatically overwriting your phones system why would'nt there be warnings and red sirens going off on your phone? Can somone please let me know if this lost data is recoverable and maybe even let me know how to recover it?

Basically, all it said was to restore your backup. What I addressed was your query about how and why this happened. iTunes did give you prompts and warnings. And if you'd used iTunes back in 2012, then you'd have lost much less data when you made the incorrect selection.
Do you have an iCloud backup? Were you backing up your device at all?
I just found it amusing that you were 'ticked off at Apple' when Apple didn't cause this problem. You did.

I used software (SharePod) to retrieve music from my iPod Touch after my original harddrive failed, but the program does not retrieve the iTunes Library file needed to import the metadata into iTunes (though it shows in the program itself). The music backed up with no issue, but I don't have what I need to preserve things like Date Added, Play Count, etc. Any solution if I have only the physical iPod Touch?Yo may be able to extract some info from the backup of the iPod:
