I recently used Bluetooth speaker with my iPhone 4S Now I am unable to listen to music through headphones Iphone speakers, even when device is no longer recognised by phone.
Please advise
Hey Jennymagee,
Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with your iPhone 4s. The following resource may provide a solution:
iPhone: No sound or distorted sound from speaker
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5180
1. Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
2. Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
3. If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
4. Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
5. If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
6. If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
- Try turning off Bluetooth.
- If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
7. Restart the iPhone.
8. If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
9. If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, please contact Apple Support.
If the issue persists, please follow the last step by contacting Apple Support for support and service options.
Thanks,
Matt M.

Did the update for my 4S a while back and now all my videos can't play in my car through the connector?
Anyone else having the same problem or is there a new button to turn this feature on and off?Take your iPod Nano back to the Apple Store. Let them see what you are seeing. Only this time............
Prior to leaving the Apple Store: ***Make sure you have the store staff power the iPod Nano up and demonstrate that it is indeed working properly to your satisfaction.*** -
I can hear sounds when I plug in to headphones or on bluetooth (streaming audio from my car).
Can anyone help?
I have the iphone 4s.
Thank you!Hey Chris,
Unfortunately the ringer does not work - which causes the speaker to not work when it's switched on to ring mode, unless I'm on bluetooth. It has recently stopped working and I've had this phone for 2 years. -
Can I use Bluetooth earphones with my Macbook Pro?
Can I use Bluetooth earphones with my Macbook Pro?
If so, are there any problems and/or limitations in doing so? (i.e. no stereo sound, or anything else?).Can you use Bluetooth earphones simultaneously with the Magic Mouse (which is also Bluetooth)?
And, just out of curiosity, why can't you use the Bluetooth earphones on an airplane? -
Can I listen to music from my iphone 4 using an in-ear bluetooth set?
Hi,
I'm looking to buy an in-ear (mono) bluetooth device.
I would like to be able to listen to music from my iphone through the device.
Not looking for something fancy.
What specs do I have to look for? Version 2.0? A2DP? Any specific models recommended?
ThanksA2DP is a Bluetooth profile. If both Bluetooth devices have that profile, then they can share information in that way. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_profile

Is it possible to listen to music through bluetooth and be on a call with earbuds at the same time?
I would like to be able to talk on my iPhone with the EarPods while playing music via Bluetooth in my car. Are there any third party products that will allow this?Sorry, iOS will pause the music playback when you are on the phone call. You can set iOS to use bluetooth for your audo playback on your music app, and select the earpods for the phone app, but as soon as you answer the phone call, iOS will pause the music playback. This is a core OS feature, so you will not find any certified iOS app that will do what you want.
As a side note, please use extra caution when using your ear pods while driving. It is not safe as you may not hear emergency vehicles, car horns, railroad crossing bells, etc., and it is illegal in many states (in the US). -
IPhone 4S/ BLuetooth/listening to music from my iPhone in my car
I'm looking a purchasing the Plantronics - Voyager Legend Bluetooth Headset - to go with my iPhone 4s running IOS 6.0.1. Here is my question...I currently listen to music from my iPhone in my car, and I use the earphone jack to connect it to the car stereo. My fear is that if I have the bluetooth headset paired up with the phone, my music will no longer go through my car speakers, but will rather go through my bluetooth headset. Can anyone clarify this issue for me, specifically....will I be able to still listen to music from my iPhone 4S through my car stereo, if a bluetooth headset is paired with my phone, but yet if a call comes through, that will route through the bluetooth headset.
Alternatively, is there a way I could turn the Bluetooth headset on for calls and off for music?
Thanks
Any suggestionsGood question. Because your iphone is connected with an AUX cable, the normal audio should run through there and I'd EXPECT that the calls should be routed to the bluetooth headset if one is connected.
In the case the music get's routed to your headset - you should be able to go to the 'music app' (whichever one you're using) and you SHOULD be able to switch the audio output (see below). Mine show "Apple TV" - but your bluetooth device would be displayed here as well - mine is just turned off at the moment. -
my phone will no longer play music through headphones or on speaker but will work when making a call on both headphones and speaker. Also when I plug in my iPhone to a jack that uses a power amp like external speakers it works fine. I have no idea whats going on i've restored it twice and still nothing.
did you update your phone?

Attempting to use bluetooth. My newly replaced 2nd generation iPod touch searches but never detect my wireless headphones which are right beside it. My old iPod had no problem detecting and connecting to the same headphones.
You can try:
- reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off an then backon your router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

I have been using my iPad with sim for weeks now, just 24 hrs ago the message I am having is no SIM card installed, I tried it with some other SIM card same same still pop up. What can I do pls
ok, I did, and it said again congrats your iPhone is unlocked, but, when it said there was a new carrier update, I cancelled it, but, it asked me again, I cancelled again, I guess I'm scared it will lock it again if I allow the carrier update.
Oh, there it goes again, this time on the phone, arg. I hit update, I hope it doesn't freak out.
I'm glad I didn't destroy the SIM like I almost did. But, it will come out again, longer battery life with the cell portion turned off. -
What are the benefits of buying an iPad 2 with wi-fi, or with 3G when I already have an iPhone 4 with 3G? My plan with was to go for wi-fi and connect to the internet through my iPhone 4. Am I missing out on anything by not getting 3G?

I tried the tethering and hated it. The connection breaks every time I get > 25 feet from it and it's a pain to reestablish the connection. I suppose if I had to choose between breaking connections every now and then or paying another $100 + $25/month I'd do the tethering.
Or just carrying the phone in your pocket? Just saying..... -
I have a Honday FIT 2013 with the USB for iPod and the Auxillary jack. I plan to purchase an iPhone 5c. Can I listen to music from my iPhone through my car speakers?
Click the "Upgrade Eligibility" link on the right side (under "Learn more about buying iPhone) here:

If you're not eligible for upgrade, it will tell you how much more than US$199 you will be charged. -
Using ipad with remote app, I cannot change to watching a movie from listening to music through Apple TV without resetting the procedure. It only changes the song
it might be worth checking your TV settings to see if it has an option for different settings based on whether using the tv speakers or headphones.
Normally you should be able to control the sound via the tv.
Have you tried it without the headphones?

Hi, I'm running a near cache implementation, with the front being a local cache and the back being a distributed cache. The distributed cache has a local cache and a read-write-backing-map-scheme for persisting each cache to disk every t minutes
