I have a Mac Book OS X. Yesterday i transferde two pictures from my dowland window to I Photo by simple sliding. Since that the I Photo window stay permenently black with in his center the small wheel ...And I can't open I photo...Have you please a solution ? Thanks in advance .
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Our desktop still runs Tiger, so I purchased the 3rd generation iPad with 64 gb thinking it had had plenty of room to backup my iPhone photos. I used a camera connection kit and transferred about 1100 old photos from my camera roll on my iPhone to my ipad. I then deleted pictures from my iPhone and now my camera roll has only 357 photos. However, in the Settings, under "About" it says I have 2147 photos. Why? I only have a total of 216 photos in all my albums. However, now I don't have enough space in iCloud to backup either device. Why not? Any help, any advice, appreciated please! I spent a long time on the phone with Apple today and they couldn't solve the problem.

iCloud only give so much space for free storage, then if you exceed the limit of 5gb you have to pay for additional storage. -

You'll need a MicroSD Card in the Voyager's Card slot. Copy the photos from the internal memory of your phone to the SD Card. Now you're ready to install the USB Drivers on your PC so you can connect your phone. Download the Drivers from Verizon's web site or go to http://www.lgforum.com/resources and under the Verizon section, download the "LG_USB_Drivers.." file and install the drivers on your PC. Next plug the Voyager into the USB port and from the "Tools" menu on the phone go to USB Connection and choose Mass Storage Mode and the SD cad in your phone will show up on your PC. No, you can't. If you have created albums on the iPad and think that there are copies of the photos in those albums, that is not how it works. The albums created on the iPad merely contain pointers to the photos in the camera roll or to any synced photos that you have. If you delete the photos from the camera roll, they will be deleted everywhere and will be gone.

The send and spell check options are next to each other. I can not tell you how many times I hit the send button be accident. When sending, and question of 'Are you sure you want to send now?', should be asked.
ThanksActually, unless something has changed, you can set Thunderbird to run an automatic spell check when you click Send. That might be your best workaround.
Tools menu > Options > Composition panel > Spelling mini-tab
(You can display the classic menu bar by tapping the Alt key)
It might also be possible to customize the toolbar, but I think this might be safer.
Regarding a general confirmation for sending, I noticed some add-ons for that, but I don't have any personal recommendations. -

Just purchased a new iMac and after transferring all info from my old iMac. Now when using iPhoto slideshow it displays the pictures in reverse order.
There's a bug in iPhoto 9.5.1 and Mavericks that affects slideshows played directly from an album. The slideshow will not play correctly if the photos have been sorted manually. Any other type of sort, date, rating, keyword or title, will play correctly.
If you need that manual sort of pictures for your slideshow create the slideshow in iPhoto's slideshow mode.

i transferred PPT files from a windows based laptop to my macbook, at first it was able to run the animations in the file no problem, its my first time to use a mac also bythe way, so i started downloading freebies like the VLC, FLIP4MAC, and other plug-in players, would it be because of this downloads that my mac now cannot seem to run the powerpoint animations any more ?
I don't think vlc would affect powerpoint. What were those "other plug-in players" you downloaded?
I'm not that familiar with powerpoint so how are those animations played? Are they windows media player files? If so then flip4mac might affect them. -
I am having trouble transfering any media from my windows 7 pc to my iPad 3. Currently using the latest version of iTunes n my windows pc but still the media won't appear on my devicewhen being transferred..
The window would open and I would get the hourglass cursor suggesting something was happening, but the Apple home page (default from the install) would not load, nor would any other page I tried (google, yahoo, cnn).

Note that, if you use iTunes to sync photos onto the iPad, you'll need to use iTunes to take them off.
if you don't have a lot and want to keep deletability, you may want to consider mailing them to yourself, or uploading them to something like dropbox, then downloading them (via the dropbox app) to your iPad.
there are also several photo syncing apps out there that may suit your needs. Afraid I don't have any to recommend. But syncing via iTunes isn't the only way to get photos onto your iPad..it's just the built in way -

From your Old Computer... Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

Aperture offers to possibility to generate slideshows by using certain templates, e.g. Vintage .
So, dragged a few pictures into that template and Aperture generates a nice slideshows which could be adapted in certain aspects. And here comes my question.....certain slides contain two pictures, most of the slides only one picture. When the slideshows is build up in a way that there chain different motives or topics, you don't want that e.g. two different motives are on a single slide. So, I'm looking to separate those two pictures which Aperture picked to be put on a sinlge slide......
I haven't found any options yet, which let you control those automatic arrangement.....

Plug your iPad into your computer. THere may be a delay while it installs drivers but if you can see your iPad in windows explorer, use that to get to your photos.
Click on your iPad and you should see a DCIM folder. Click thorugh that to find your photos.
Windows explorer will see your iPad as nothing more than a digital camera, and that's the part you're trying to access. -
