I tried to install firefox 4 and but not compatible with my computer Mac 10.4 now I don't have a firefox in my dock. How do I get the one I used before in my dock?
How can I get firefox in my application folder? I lost it while trying to upgrade to firefox 4? I don't it in my dock. My computer is Mac 10.4 older one. Can you help me?

My iPhone 4S not compatible with 2008 Q7 Audi MMI. Now only phone numbers come up on screen, no name. When someone calls, only the number appears on the MMI screen, not their name or whether they called from their office/home etc.. Same with missed calls, dialed numbers etc.. Names appeared on the screen of the phone, but not on MMI screen. Cannot dial by searching contact and name info while driving anymore. Never had this problem with previous iPhones. NIGHTMARE Finally Ends, after nearly two weeks.
After trying for over a week trying to get my replacement iPhone 4S to activate, I ended up driving 110+ miles to an Apple Store to get a second replacement, which had been specially shipped there for me. Popped in the SIM card, went through the setup and I finally have an iPhone 4S that works, at least for the time being.
Advice to others who find themselves in this situation:
1) If you get these messages (see original post), the phone is bad. Demand a replacement.
2) If the AppleCare tech advises that the Apple Agreement Administration team is investigating, you'll be waiting for a week or more for them to complete it. Demand a replacement immediately, don't let them put you off indefinitely.
After the initial phone call documented in my original post, I was in daily contact, phone & e-mail, with the AppleCare tech trying to figure out the problem, and we tried everything, from forced restore's to switching SIM cards, conferencing w/ AT&T, etc. It seems that this was a case of first impression to Apple, but if it wasn't, then the problem is not well documented or known by those who should know, and for that, the blame should be on Apple, not the AppleCare tech who worked tirelessly trying to figure out a solution--I'd send him a case of beer if I knew where to send it. -

No. if that message comes up, you are running on an old first generation Core Duo processor on an iMac/MacBook/ Mac mini and it simply is not compatible, no matter what version of OSX. It lacks specific chip components required for the code.

I updated Firefox this morning. As I use the Google toolbar on a regular basis for many different reasons, I was very upset to find it had disappeared. I went to Google apps to reinstall it, but found out that it is not compatible with this version of Firefox! Please, don't update software, if it is NOT going to work properly.

I downloaded a program from Roboform called rfwipeout.exe. I backed up my passwords, identities, etc and completely removed all traces of roboform. This did not help. When I re-installed the roboform new release it got the same message that it thinks I am using version 3.6 of Firefox instead of 11.0. There must be some setting in the Firefox folders that never gets changed when you update to a new version.
Soon after that I ran a backup of Firefox profiles identities, etc using MOZ BACKUP. I had never noticed this until then but the message asks if I want to backup Mozilla Firefox 3.6. Since 2 completely different programs refer to my installation as 3.6 there must be something wrong in one of the Firefox files. -
I have a 3G iphone. I just tried to download the new itunes and lost all my itunes I had. I tried to transfer them from my computer but can't. How can I and what do I do to get the ones I bought before and now have lost.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

After Hours of Internet searches and a few more hours with the Adobe Call Center in India…
Set Permissions to “Read and Write” in Get Info to “Everyone” for the
/Library/Fonts
/Library /Preferences
/User/Library/Preferences
/Applications
Then “Apply” to “Enclosed Folders”
Uninstall Adobe Air, then Reinstall it
Rename these two folders.
Mac HD>library>app support>Adobe>caps
>>>BUT FIRST delete media.db file under caps
Mac HD>library>app support>Adobe>backup
Move any offending font families OUT of the /Library/FONT Folder to the Trash (they will be auto-reinstalled during the installation)
Log out, then Log back in as ROOT user.
Then install off your CD or downloadable install file.
I hope this saves the next poor guy or gal the hours and hassle… -

I accepted/installed an update for iMovie and it turns out that this version is not compatible with my graphics card. So now I can no longer open or use iMovie. Any ideas on how to get around this - how to revert to the previous version??
Look in your Applications folder. If your system behaved as expected, you should have an iMovie 9.0 folder in your Applications folder. Apple moved the old version there as even they suspected the new versions was a train wreck.

I'm using Image Capture over one year now, using wireless between my iMac and Epson XP-800 and sometimes very fast scans and quiet often very, very slow scans. I have tried to use Epson Scan Software 3.7.9f0 but not compatible with OS X 10.9.5x. There is very little other wireless traffic and I have a fast broadband connection. Thanks

You can't get it reset; if you could there would be no point in having it. If you have an encrypted backup there are two ways this could have happened:
You checked "Encrypt Backup" in iTunes at some time in the past, either intentionally or by accident
You have a corporate MS Exchange account and your Exchange administrator installed a security profile on your phone that requires the phone'a contents to be encrypted. This, in turn, requires the backup to be encrypted for obvious reasons.

It's likely that a developer of one or more of these will post a response with a link (possibly hidden) to their "product". have lion 10.7.4 up graded from tiger 10.5.8. tried to download mountain lion but received a message that mountain lion is not compatible with my computer. anyone have this problem or suggestion?
It's actually not the chip... it's the drivers for the video card. this is what my friend who does IT work said.
"The drivers for your Mac's video card are not 64bit compatible even though the computer itself is. Mountain Lion has done away with all 32bit OS components so it only runs on full 64bit MAcs now"
So even though I updated my video card to a newer version and my computer itself is 64bit... apple didn't create a driver for it that was 64 bit. My hardware is fine for this update and the chip can handle it. It can handle all my 64 bit programs just fine. It's apple forcing me to update and buy a new expensive computer. So much for long lasting computer... they last long but they won't be supported very long.
Why not release a version of mountain lion that supports 32 bit graphics alongside the 64 bit? Wasn't that what grand central was going to accomplish? This is rubbish.
