I tried to use borders, I pick out the cell(s) and the border shows but when i change cells, the border goes away????

To set the border for one, or more, cell(s) you have to:
- make the selection (of cells)
- the make a selection from each of the border selection tools
+ The borders to highligh
+ the border style
+ the weight
+ the color (default is gray so you have to select black if you want the dark)

Hi, remember to set the ownership & permissions for files/folders if you want to be able to amend files or change them from both accounts. If a file is created in one account. it may only be viewed in the other account. but if you change the ownership & permissions from "read only" to "read and write" then files can be amended from both accounts. To get the info, simply click once on the folder or file then command-i to get the file/folders info. you can change things there. Permissions can only be change from the account the file/folder was created in.

i'm trying to use a madcatz controller on the mac but it turns on for 2 seconds and turns off. the system profiler picks it up as a xbox 360 gamepad but says its not been configured. how can i allow my self use this with my games!
I have exactly the same problem.
I'm a little peed-off with Microsoft on this. The original wireless controller I have doesn't work either since the cable I'm using is 'just' the charge and play cable, so a direct connection to my Mac won't work with this cable. It's a cable for god's sake. Why on EARTH put any limitations on this!?!?
Next I learn I need an additional USB wireless receiver from Microsoft to get my original 360 controller to talk to my Mac. As I certainly don't want to fork any more microsoft dollars on this, this is not an option.
Next I think, yes! I have a MadCatz 360 wired USB controller. This should surely do the trick just plugging it in and the way I go. But oh no, for some reason I plug my MadCatz Xbox360 controller in, it flashes a few times then switches off and can't be turned on again.
The System Profiles recognizes it as a MadCatz 360 device controller but that is about it, but the ontroller software I download for the System Prefs (360Controller, USBOverdrive etc) don't even recognize the controller as being plugged in.
What the **** Is The Microsoft Deal with all of this!?!?
PS: Oh, and I forgot to mention, there are No drivers for device 4716 that I can find on the MadCatz website, or am I going blind?

To be clear you called the 800 number and explained what the situation was, old machine and lost the original DVD's?
Just checking because if you just called and tried to buy the DVD's they might tell you they no longer sell them but you aren't really trying to buy them your trying to replace the ones that are missing.
Ebay may work but there is a certain specificity to the DVD's required which, even if they seem right, might not work.
Good luck either way. If you get a chance when you get the DVD's I'd be interested in hearing how it all works out.

How to pick out the main body/article when surrounded by ads ?

First of all, not exactly sure where I should post this, so please let me know a better forum if you know of one.
I am working with a linguisitic search engine that takes pdf articles and indexes them based on lists of keywords, and then does word counts. For this latest project the pdfs are downloads of newpaper articles, typically 1 to 2 pages long. My linguistic engine works on these fine but because these are downloads from the web, the pdfs have extraneous advertisements and links (and so on) surrounding the main article. This leads to false negatives and so I need to get rid of the things around the main body. If the articles were all written with the same format (e.g. headline at the top and then some sort of copyright at the end) I 'd be able to focus the linguistics engine solely on the article. Unfortunately that is not the case. What I am considering now is some sort of pre-processing using some sort of pdf editor. From what I understand text in the pdf format is stored in elements which describe the layout. Typically, within an article the width of the actual article remains the same. The article typically spans a larger width than say something like an advertisement which contains a link and a description. Would it be possible to pick out the text elements based on something like width or font-type and then save just those portions to another pdf or text file? Can one do such things with Acrobat or the SDK? I'll have about 5-10,000 docs to work on. Thus I need an automated procedure. Going thru manually and copying&pasting the relevant portions will be too tedious. Thanks for any suggestions.It's really hard to say what will be possible without the benefit of seeing a typical example. It's not generally true that "...text in the pdf format is stored in elements which describe the layout..." If the ads are in consistent locations (e.g., on the right 2 inches of the page), you can automate the redaction process using JavaScript.

None of the major carriers offer PAYG service in the US, but if you buy a contract-free phone for full price you can get a plan that can be canceled at any time from any of the major carriers (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile). There are smaller resellers that offer PAYG service (StraightTalk, for example), but they are hard to deal with.
The most liberal is the GSM carrier T-Mobile. They have "unbundled" the phone from the service, so if you bring your own phone or pay full price for a phone the monthly cost will be lower.
The other 3 will charge you the same monthly cost whether you pay full price for the phone or get a subsidized phone.
Verizon iPhone 5 series phones are unlocked out of the box for international use (thanks to a condition the FCC imposed on Verizon when they were allowed to buy a substantial chunk of spectrum). They are the only phones sold in the US that will work on LTE bands in the UK and Europe.
Sprint is not a good choice, because they give you a hard time if you want to unlock your phone.
AT&T phones are locked, but they will unlock the phone if you pay full price or pay off your early termination fee. However, they will only work on GSM in the UK, not on LTE (4G). -

Hi! I tried to delete an app on my iphone 6 plus and it still shows as a phantom app using 1.4G, according to my numbers i should have almost 4G free, no matter what i delete i shows 0MB Free On usage

Yesterday i had also that issue, i found out an corrected it, the appthat is takin the most is Asphalt 8 1.4G, i've tried to delete it but it continues to appear as NULL app taking the memory space, there are another 2G's that i cannot see, if i add all my apps and Asphalt 8 (NULL) i should have 3.4G of free memory, but in usage it shows 0MB

About once a month I receive the Software update notice that has failed. How do I find out who/what is trying to update? If I decided I want this update how do I allow it to continue? If I decided I do not want this update how do I stop it and its attempt to update? The only response allowed is "OK". When OK is selected the window goes away and nothing else happens.

Yes your cabinet 10 on the Crediton exchange has already been installed and linked with a FTTC DSLAM cabinet (making it able to provide FTTC fibre broadband) and has been Accepting FTTC orders since December 2013. PCP10 (with it's DSLAM cabinet within 100meters of it) is locate on the junction of Commercial Road and the A3072.
However by the looks of things your are just too far away to obtain a FTTC (VDSL2) connection, meaning FTTC fibre broadband is not available to you.
