I have Mac OS X 10.4.11, and don't know how to upgrade to 10.5.

It requires you to have Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6) installed, which can be obtained from the Apple Store.
You being on Mac OS X 10.4 makes it an old system, 10.6 and 10.7 require an Intel processor at least with Lion demanding an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor.

to to apple menu -> software update or system preference -> Software update
( you may try to use an old package on new system )

iTunes is not installing because its incompatible with your OS. When installing the correct version the new version will update the older version, there is no need to uninstall first.
The last version of iTunes compatible with OSX 10.4 is iTunes 9.2.1

I've been having the same issue! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE but that hasn't helped; I've even created a new Adobe ID and that was also a fruitless venture. I Have seen people report this issue when they try to sync their devices but in never seen it when trying to restore an unresponsive iPad. I would sguggest trying recovery mode now.

Are you launching Pages from an icon in your Dock? Installing the update does not change the Dock icons & it does not remove the older versions. Go to your Applications folder & launch the new Pages from there.

Generally, you can switch between the light and full version of OWA, if your web browser support the full set of features. You can do this by checking or clearing the "Use the blind and low vision experience" check box. However, if you use a web browser
that doesn't support the full set of features, Outlook Web App (OWA) will open in light version.
