  • My recent up-date won't support ROBOform, so how can i get my older version back?

I use a ROBOFORM program a lot. When I recently downloaded an update of my Moxila firefox, I found out it won't support my ROBOFORM program. Can I get the older version of Firefox back?

You kinda have that backwards, Roboform needs to support Firefox. If you upgrade to Roboform version 7, you'll have Roboform working in Firefox 4.0.1.

  • HT1199 Newer version of iTunes will not open.  My music is gone.  How can I get the older version back?

My "newer version" of itunes will not open.  How can I either get it to open or get the older version which worked fine?

Restore the backup before you installed.
If you didn't make a backup, at very minimum make sure your Music library isn't compromised by locating the folder you selected the music to be in (usually in Users -> yourname -> Music) and make sure there are several MB of data there by clicking once on the folder, and selecting Get Info from the File menu in the Finder.
If you can't find it, try to locate parts of track names with Find Any File.
    http://apps.tempel.org/FindAnyFile/
then determine which parent file of the .mp3 or .mpa files you have contains all of the music files by getting info under each previous folder in the folder tree.
Once you determine which folder contains all your music, back it up using the Finder, or backup the entire hard drive using cloning software at least to two different drives or two complete copies on DVDs:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-1992
You'll then want to erase and install 10.6 from the system installer you used to put 10.6 on your Mac, and run the combo 10.6.8 updater and apply the necessary security updates:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3261
Then you can install older versions of iTunes for the Mac from here, once you determine which version is compatible with 10.6.8 that you liked before by first checking which version is compatible with what you need:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITunes_version_history
Once you know that, if you can't find it with Google, let us know and maybe one of us can help. Lastly reload your music in your music folder, and your other applications.

    I'm using a Mac os x 10.4.11
After downloading Firefox 4 I put it in my applications folder replacing the older version of firefox, now I've learned it is not supported on my system. Please help

There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox

  • I downloaded by accident a later version of firefox than my Mac will run - 4.0.1. How can I get the older version back?

I have a Mac OS 10.4.11. I had a glitch while I was trying to register to a new WordPress and that site sent me to Firefox and told me to download. Before checking compatibility with my operating system, I download and put it in my applications folder. When I tried to open Firefox, I got a message saying 4.0.1 wasn't compatible with my computer.
I NEED THE OLDER VERSION OF FIREFOX compatible with my Mac. PLEASE SEND IT TO ME. Thanks.

You can download Firefox 3.6 here: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Before reinstalling it, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

  • I downloaded Firefox 4 for my Mac running MacOS 10.4.11 and replaced my older version (because I didn't understand the meaning of the barred circle) and now cannot use Firefox at all. How do I get the older version back?

When I try to open FF4 I get the message it can't be opened because it is not supported on my architecture. I can't believe no-one else has had this problem. You must have a lot of internet duffers who don't really know what they're doing. I need to get my old version of FF back if I'm going to run it on my computer. I don't understand why an app as widely used as this doesn't have a pre-app that assesses whether one has the architecture to run a new version. You advertisement merely said OS 10, and "all systems". It did not specify a newer MacOS than my 10.4.11. Now I seem to be out of luck and will just use Safari.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox

  • Hate the new Itunes update....how can I get the older version back?

Anyone know??? Thanks for the help.

Google "old apps itunes" and you'll find a site with downloads of earlier versions. At first, you'll be told that iTunes can't access your music library because it's a newer version, but you can get around that by dragging the music data file onto iTunes. There's also a tutorial on YouTube that explains pretty clearly how to go back to older versions of iTunes.

  • HOW DO I GET THE OLDER BROWSER BACK???

    ORIGINAL REVISED QUESTION =
AFTER ALL THAT ~ going through the whole MESS you have created and YOU TELLING ME that "in order to have a chance of getting my question answered ~ to give you ALL THE DETAILS I CAN", you REFUSE to accept is by saying, "Please keep the length of your question to 255 characters or less ..."!!! Are you INCAPABLE of saying that BEFORE I go through all the other MESS??? HOW DO I GET THE OLDER BROWSER BACK???
ORIGINAL QUESTION = I had SEVERAL plugins that WORKED!!! Then, I "upgraded" {as you, LAUGHINGLY, claim} to your Firefox 4 version after being promised by you that it's BETTER and, supposedly, an IMPROVEMENT over the older version. After I installed the NEW one ~ IT TURNED OFF ALL MY PREVIOUS PLUGINS!!! Your WISHTHEYWUZ "PROGRAMMERS", very cleverly {and, actually, HATEFULLY} ummmm, kinda "forgot" to make the new browser BACKWARD-COMPATIBLE so that it didn't DESTROY everything we, already, had ~ that WORKED before YOU got hold of it!!! So, now, *HOW* do I get the OLDER version back??? I think you should KNOW what you can do with this newer "UPGRADE" that is, actually, a LIE!!! UPGRADES do NOT take you in REVERSE ~ making things WORSE ~ real upgrades make things BETTER!!! DUH-H-H-H!!!
    ORIGINAL DETAILS =
I, recently, purchased a new HP 4500 Printer and it came with a video-capture extension/plugin. Attempting to use it, the program informed me that I needed to be using, either, an EI or a Firefox Browser mentioning version 1.5 {I think it was} or later. The Firefox browser I was using was 3.something; so, everything was going along FINE. When I installed the video capture program, it added the plugin to the browser ~ PERFECTLY!!! I, also, had MANY other plugins that worked and that I used somewhat regularly!!! NOT ANY MORE!!! YOU and your TOTALLY INEPT, WISHTHEYWUZ "PROGRAMMERS" have STOLEN nearly HALF of my COMPUTER!!! I can, no longer, USE ANY OF THOSE PLUGINS, simply, because YOU "forgot" {let's say} to INCLUDE them in your new browser version 4. WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THEM??? WHY DIDN'T *YOU* WANT ME TO BE ABLE TO USE THEM, ANY LONGER???
Apparently, YOU think that the computer world revolves around YOU and that YOU are its AXIS!!! You feel that YOU have NO RESPONSIBILITY to make YOUR programs in any way compatible with what is, already, available ~ according to the "advice" I noticed on one of YOUR pages WHILE REACHING THIS ONE, you said that everybody else must accommodate YOUR claimed "improvements" that do nothing but DESTROY!!!
All I want is for YOU to, either, MAKE YOUR VERSION 4 COMPATIBLE; or, advise me on HOW to get the EARLIER version back that *IS* compatible. Otherwise, I'll switch to a different browser and advise all others over whom I have any influence to do the same for the sake of their overall computering enjoyment!!!
    PLEASE ADVISE!!!
I see that you have provided {below this window} a space for, likely, a SINGLE Extension / Plugin. Therefore, a PARTIAL LIST follows ~
    ArcSoft Video Downloader Extension 2.0.0.8
    Copy to Wordperfect Lightning 1.0
    Google Photos Screensaver 2.0
    HP Smart Web Printing 4.5
    iWinGames Plugin 1.5
    Microsoft.NET Framework Assistant 1.2.1
    RAW Thumbnail Viewer 2.0.0.11
Real Player Browser Record Plugin 1.1.3
    TVU Web Player 2.5.3.1
    Yahoo! Toolbar 2.1.3.20100310105313

THANK YOU, TREMENDOUSLY, for the responsive information!!! Although, the WISHTHEYWUZ "programmers" and those that are, actually, controlling and "in charge" of this website ~ you know who I mean ~ those that are so SUPERB at, ONLY, "PASSING THE BUCK" in order to get the regular USERS to answer the questions directed at THEM {as mine was}!!! In that way, of course, they EVADE countless issues and what would be EXTREME PANGS OF GUILT to anyone that "stood responsible" for their actions!!! Regardless, even though, "THEY" continued to lay the blame for the SHODDINESS & EXTREME INEPTNESS OF *THEIR* PROGRAMMING ATTEMPTS onto others ~ the links that *YOU* were kind enough to share with me *DID*, in fact, get my older ~ MUCH MORE USABLE browser back!!! Of course, NOW, the shoddy WISHTHEYWUZ "PROGRAMMERS" have rigged everything so that I will be HOUNDED and HARASSED in order to try to FORCE the crappy version 4 back onto me!!! I, still, wanna provide YOU with all the ACCOLADES possible!!! Your desire to attempt to HELP OTHERS is, truly, a remarkable characteristic in today's world of SELFISHNESS and UNGODLY attitude problems!!!

Tried updating firefox but it is not compatible with leopard op. If I try to re-install the older version will my bookmarks still be there?

Current Firefox versions require a Mac with an Intel processor and OS X 10.6.
Firefox 16 is the last version that runs on Intel Mac OS X 10.5.
You would have to update to OS X 10.6 to be able to use current Firefox releases.

  • Would like to upgrade to Dragon Naturally Speaking 11 from DNS 6 (which would also entail a necessary upgrade from Windows 2000 to 7) but understand after all this expense and trouble, DNS upgrade may not be compatible with Firefox 6?

    Question
Would like to upgrade to Dragon Naturally Speaking 11 from DNS 6 (which would also entail a necessary upgrade from Windows 2000 to 7) but understand after all this expense and trouble, DNS upgrade may not be compatible with Firefox 6?
Main priority is voice activation upgrade. Ideas about how to proceed appreciated!

AFAIK, it's been over three years since a WinXP laptop or desktop PC has been sold; I specifically bought a laptop in June 2008 because it was being clearanced by that retail chain to meet Microsoft's deadline, and got it real cheap. It was tagged for the store manager to purchase, but he let me have it because I exceeded his expectations for the services I performed for his store and thought I deserved it. Anything that wasn't made for Vista-compatibility will be very iffy with Win7, IMO - so that basically rules out anything that was made before like Oct or Nov 2007.
Unless another DNS 11 user happens to see this thread and can verify whether it works in Firefox 6.0 or not, I don't what to recommend except for you doing a web search to see what other DNS / Firefox users have to say about compatibility.

  • I downloaded firefox 5 but lost my tool bars, how can i get the old version back?

I downloaded firefox 5 but lost my tool bars, how can i get the old version back? It said my tool bars are not compatible. I want them back.

That is the new appearance Firefox 4 and now Firefox 5, you can easily put things back because Firefox is customizable.
You can make Firefox 4.0.1 and '''Firefox 5.0''' look like Firefox 3.6.17, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 look like 3.6)]

  • Ever since updating to 6.0, my internet crashes, my app store crashes, EVERYTHING crashes.  It's very annoying to say the least.  How can I get the old version back????

I'm getting really annoyed that my iPod keeps crashing thanks to 6.0.  When is this going to get fixed or how can I get the previous version back??

I had a iPod 4G and it suffered crashes after upgrading to iOS6, especially in the App Store and iTunes store. Safari often crashed as well, but it occurred same as before I upgraded.
My iPod barely had any apps on it, having only 3GB used of 6.5GB available space (I had 8GB version).
I got the new iPod Touch 5th generation a few days ago and it works perfectly. Never had a single crash running any app, game, or store.
This has led me to believe that iOS6 was primiarily for the new line of devices and not really optimized for the previous generation. Thus, I think that iOS6 may be the last highest supported OS for the iPod-4 and the iPhone-4 and 4S and future operating systems will not be compatible with the previous generation.
