I updated to OS X Mavericks and iPhoto 11 and my photos for the last 2 month disappeared. I have a Mac Mini.
On 10/25/2013 OS X on my Mac mini was updated to Mavericks and iPhoto was updated to iPhoto 11. Since then the photos in iPhoto from the last 2 months have disappeared. Has anyone had a similar complaint? Thank you. harck.

Just a hunch - the "last two month" sounds like an photo stream sync problem.
How did you import the photos from the last two month? Were they in the Photo Stream? Then enable your Photo Stream again in the Sytem Preferences iCloud pane and iPhoto Preferences iCloud tab. This option might have been disabled. If you did not download your recent photos automatically from from the stream, the photo stram must be disabled to show them.
Also, your "last import" event might be empty after the upgrade of the library. Try to sort your events differently, to bring the last event to the top of the list in "Events" view.

I have tried resetting, following instructions on Apple support.
2 amber lights are showing, saying no internet, and no dns servers.
On the same network I have direct link to TV, working fine.
The TC does not seem to be able to pick up IP address even though directly connected with Ethernet cable.
I'd appreciate any help possible.So what kind of modem is it.. is it cable.. if so you need to power it down and leave it off for 30min or so .. maybe shorter or longer depending on the ISP.
Do a full factory reset on the TC.
The Factory Reset TC Gen1-4. Or AE Gen1-5
Unplug your TC/AE. Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Plug into the TC by ethernet from computer and setup as router .. ie dhcp and nat.. if it fails please give info on the firmware of the TC and the actual modem model number. -
i just updated my software to maverick and my iTunes to the most recent version and i can no longer transfer songs from my iTunes to my iPod. The tracks stay gray with a stagnant circle beside them in the left column. Any ideas?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

For the last 3 months only, I am unable to complete my online payment on your website. I get as far as Method of Payment, mark it, and then lick on NEXT and nothing happens. What gives? Have to pay it by phone.

Here (at work) we have in the past have had IMAP and SMTP enabled on our Exchange server so Thunderbird could then connect just like to any other regular internet-based service.
With the change here to outlook365/outlook 2010 I've had to switch to using DavMail which lets Thunderbird talk to the mail server using OWA.
I haven't (seriously) tried Exquilla. Whilst I have great respect for its author and some of his other add-ons, I saw no reason to use an add-on that required payment when DavMail works for free. -
I have been using my appletv for the last 4 months, gone to ue it today and the airplay icon dose not appear on me ipad2 running iso5 where is has been. I have also tried on my iphone 4 running iso 5 and again no joy.
I have compleated a soft reset on all devices and checked that they are all conected to the same wifi which they are.

Seems that somehow the DCHP (maybe due to the Mountain Lion upgrade?) had assigned the same IP address to both the AppleTV and my iMac. The AppleTV stopped appearing as an AirPlay device for my iPhone and Mac, but still the AppleTV had Internet access.
Restarting the router reassigned IPs and without fanfare, the AppleTV is now available to AirPlay. -
I have about 14 gbs of Other on my iPad. After searching, I notice that it is mostly photos. Years and years of photos. However, when I sync thru iTunes on my iMac, I only sync the last 6 months. I have tried deleting all photos and syncing again. No luck. Any suggestions?
Read the User Tip that razmee209 linked for you in the post above. If nothing in there works, there May be something on your iPad that is corrupt. Backup the iPad, restore to factory settings, and them restore the backup. If that doesn't fix it, restore as new and download all of your purchased content again.

I have lost the last 4 months of photos on Aperture and have no idea why. Can anyone tell me how to recover them? I don't find Mac software that intuitive after using MS for 30+ years.
We will need to know more, to be able to help you to find and restore your images.
What exactly do you mean by "lost 4 month of photos". Are earlier projects still visible in Aperture or are all your projects missing?
What is your Aperture version and your MacOS X version?
And what were the last action you did on your mac, before the photos went missing? Did you install something, update something, run some cleaning tools?
Did you move your aperture library to a different location?
Please tell us anything you think that might help to understand what happenend.
Sometimes images appear to be missing, but are only hidden.
Have you looked in Aperture's Trash? And the Trash on your Desktop?
Have you looked at the searchfields in the browser and Inspector if they are cleared and are showing "All Items" or "Showing all"?
Have you opened the correct Aperture Library? If you type ".aplibrary" into the Spotlight searchfield in the upper right corner of your screen, do you see more than one Aperture library?

I let Firefox update this weekend. Since then, when visiting Facebook and a couple other sites, the scrolling is very jumpy. This was not happening before the update, but it is very irritating. I've tried clearing the cache, but it didn't work for this issue. Any fix available?
Please uncheck smooth scrolling in Options > Advanced > General
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
#Open Firefox ''Options'' window (''Preferences'' on Mac or Linux) as follows:
#* In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]] and select ''Options'' for Windows or ''Preferences'' on Mac or Linux.
#* In Firefox 28.0 and previous versions, click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
#In the Firefox Options (or Preferences) window, click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select ''General''.
#In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
#Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool. Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. I used to be able to go to a website and click their print button and it would print just fine. The only programs I will always update when they are available are Firefox, Avast Free Anti virus, and Malwarebytes. I think I may have updated Java too but it was after my printing problem began. I have the latest printer driver update installed which is the same version that I have been printing with before the error began. My printer is an Epson Stylus NX210 series All in One printer. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L650 series. I used to get the error message every time I tried to print a Michaels coupon but I was able to print from any other website I tried. Could someone please help me figure out what to do so I can start printing things again? Thank you!
If you are getting Siri when you double tap, then your home button must be sticking. Siri comes up when you hold the home button. Try tapping quickly twice. When that happens, the multi-tasking list comes up and you will see the app icon and then a thumbnail, or reduced size view of the app above it. You put your finger on that thumbnail and swipe upwards with your finger.
For that issue, you might want to do a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. This will not affect your data.
To be honest, your novel is a little difficult to read, and I think you put too much information in there, and a lot of it is unnecessary. Be to the point and just add information necessary to understand the issue. -
"..phone_app (57) not responding" on both my and my daughters Verizon 9630 for the last 2 months!
Help - our Verizon Blackberries lock up several times a day starting 2 months ago - both on my 9630 in Seattle and my daughters 9630 in Denver. Both started at the same time.
The error is usually that the hourglass spins for a while, then the phone hangs for several minutes then comes a black window with the message "Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app (57) is not responding; process terminated" (then the phone comes back) or an all white screen with "App Error S23 - Reset" (then the phone reboots) - and since it was on both phones at almost the same time we know it is related to a "BB software update issue".
Stores in CO and WA have told us both that this is a known issue and we should replace our phones! The suggestion to delete a bunch of emails doesn't solve the problem. We've tried the latest update patiently for 2 months - and we haven't loaded any apps except Google maps - but it keeps locing up several times a day!
Our 2 year plans are out in August but didn't want to buy new onesand we need our phones! HELP!Install the OS again.

I have not been able to send email from my computer for several months. I have called my ISP numerous times and they can't or won't help. Out of the blue something will send that has been in my outbox for days. A new email address worked briefly but now does not. What is happening here??? Can this be fixed and how?

I've been using firefox as my principle browser for quite some time. I normally just click on it once and it opens to the home page with google search in the middle of the page. I downloaded some e-mail attachment about a job and that's when it seemed to act up. Sound on my iPhone 4S is messed up, tips and suggestions left by others not working any more. At first turning it off for a while worked, when turned it back in the keyboard click would work for a few keystrokes but now not even that. Had the phone for a bit more than a year, so I know my sound is on and checked all my settings. Posted suggestions from support is not helpful. I guess next step is to take it in for repair? Or is this Apple's way of telling us to upgrade? :(
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
FYI, Apple does not repair iPhones. If basic troubleshooting does not resolve either purchase a new iPhone or take the device to Apple for an Out of Warranty replacement which is $199US for the 4S. -
I just downloaded the new 8.0 version of Firefox, but all of my extra tabs, auto fill, Google search tool bar, etc, etc, are gone and I want them back!!
How do I reverse back to the last version of Firefox?
I tried "RESTORE" to the day before on my computer, but that did not put everything back.

There are a lot of benefits to running the latest version of Firefox. You should consider [http://input.mozilla.com/en-US/feedback leaving feedback] for the developers so that they can continue to improve the product. If you are just having trouble finding things, you go to ''Firefox > Options > Menu bar''. This will give you a more familiar feel by enabling all of the menu items you are used to. You should also check out this article on [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36 common questions after upgrading]. It will explain all of the UI changes. Everything is still there, it's just been moved around a bit.
