A pop up keeps telling me to update Firefox. Three times I've tried and it just keeps trying to contact the server. Could this be caused my lousy internet service?

When you reopen Mail, immediately click on the Outbox, select the message and delete it. You can also try taking the account offline. If the spinning stops, delete the message.

I'm not 100% sure exactly what you're seeing. It sounds like one of your e-mail accounts is sending spam, and that this has gone on long enough (or been of sufficient volume) that this has landed you on some spam blacklists.
It's extremely unlikely that this is due to malware on your Mac. There is no known malware for the Mac that uses your machine to send spam. On the other hand, it's highly likely that your e-mail account has been compromised, and is being used remotely to send spam. You need to change the password on that account right away. If you are also hosting a website on this same domain, I would be concerned that the hacker has also obtained access to your site. You'd be wise to change all passwords of any kind on your site, and get the site checked out by a web security professional.
I also find it a bit disturbing that GoDaddy allowed the spam to go on unhindered long enough to land you on a spam blacklist. You may want to migrate to a higher-quality host at some point.

Getting used to changes in the finder. I finally did see the Adobe Patch installer and am able to update applications individually. Should be able to attend to the main apps I use w/o further difficulty. Thnx for the help.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

My current version when I open it, it says there is an error and I will not be able to download a CD into itunes, although I have completed several CD downloads.

Could you please let me know what version of OS are you using.
Also, go to Control Panel/System Preferences in Windows/MAC and check whether Acrobat 9 is shown under installed programs list.
You might also try running Acrobat cleaner tool to remove all traces of previous versions of Acrobat:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Then, install Acrobat X again from the link mentioned below:
Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X

Electronic voice: thank you for calling apple. We are now closed" So now I have 2 problems: the adviser had got me to reset so bye bye wifi passwords and settings. And then when he phones back as we agreed he's not actually on the phone, it's just a voice saying Apple Support is now closed! What on earth is going on at apple support I wonder.
Anyway, the original problem: an application called JotNot Pro fails to update. The error message says something like "you cannot update this cos either you bought it with a different Apple ID or somebody else bought it."
Neither applies. Can anybody help?
PS. This is my first approach to the support community so please bear with me!

If you get a network timed out error, try disabling the security software on the computer during the download and install.
You can also try a direct download andinstall by:
iPod, iPhone and iPad Firmware Download
Nera the top of the page aretheinstructions for selecing the download for the install.

Try this:
1. Open "Finder", then navigate to "Movies" on the left side. Click on "iMovie Projects"
2. Move desired movies and clips to trash, or your flash drive.
*PS* Its dangerous to have a full hard drive, I would recommend either trashing, or transferring files to another computer. Trash applications you no longer use as well.

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.
