I want my WS app. executes only from a browser link

I am planning to write a game in java and instead of using an applet, I am considering to use Web Start technology. However, there's one thing that I have been trying to find out in the last couple of hours is that, is it possible to restrict my app's excecusion from a browser link only? I dont want my application to be lunched through a desktop shortcut or any cache. The reason for this is that, I want to keep my game free, but show my users ads on my web site before they lunch the game. I also want to save bandwidh by keeping the game files on users machines. Especially the bandwidh issue, and the auto updates feature makes me consider WS over applets. I would appreciate any help, thank you...

It doesnt sound like even if you wanted to have a offline -dsiallowed this is exaclty what you want, you actually want to push some ad conent to the client as well from your server.
Although this isnt allowed as a configuration option in JNLP, one way to do this would be to have a simple server process that each client must register with and therefore allows you to send information from the server to the client each time the client starts up.
The client to server communication could be via any number of mechanisms, simple java.net.sockets, RMI, XML-RPC, CORBA, etc. If you have access to an app server on your server side I would prob use XML-RPC , otherwise if you have access to no app server just a JVM on your server side , you could use either RMI or java.net ServerSocket on your server side. (Sockets is easier but then you have to write alot of parsing logic if your messages are large in size).
I have deployed a web start application which must register with an an upstream app server which is not written in java, it does this via xml messages over sockets (using jaxb to parse the message content). The app will start but then sut down without first registering with the app server.

You can sync iOS apps from your compute's iTunes library to your iPod. An iPod will only run iOS apps/games. It will not run or even sync computer apps/games.

Ipod touch will sync with one computer at a time. If you sync to another then it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.

Make an AM function execute only during page load time

I have a function in the AM. I want to have it executed only during loading of the page. How can I achieve it.

But my case is slightly different. I have a VO where I bind some variables. I run the first page and get some data. I am sending the fetched data from the first page to the second page using pageFlowScope.
In the second page, I am binding a fucntion which will set the bind variables with some values (the values are the ones which are fetched from the first page using pageFlowScope). The VO is dropped as a table in the second page.
So, to summarize, the situation is as follows:
There is a VO which is dropped as a table in page2.jspx This VO has some bind variables. There is also an AM function which is bound to the page2.jspx and this function will set the bind variables using setNamedWhereClauseParam(...). The arguments to this function are passed from the pageFlowScope.
Now there is a page1.jspx where I am able to select something and push the selected values to pageFlowScope.
As I navigate from page1.jspx to page2.jspx, I want the VO in page2 to refresh according to the values chosen in page1. Hence I want the function to execute only when the page2 is loaded. If the function is not called during the rendering of page2.jspx, then the table becomes empty because the bind parameters in that VO are automatically set to null.

for arabic keyboard in the link u sent me it was confusing in the 3g spec page there is arabic but for 3gs there isnt ? how come since its the same 3.0 operating system ?
I see Arabic in the keyboard section for both the 3g and 3gs, toward the bottom right after Flemish. Do you really not see that the same way?

Reading a PDF document from my browser

When I want to read a PDF document from my browser (Firefox), the document automatically gets downloaded and saved to My Documents. Then I have to click on downloads or go the My Documents to read it. Then if I don;t want to save the document I have to do in a delete it. How can I just read the document from my browser without saving it?

You don't really delete app that way, that way to stop backup for that app in icloud.
You need to delete it from your home screen and then while it still will look like download from icloud - app will start fresh.
However if app uses any account sign in the stuff that is attached to sign in will come back, so if you do not want to you need to use
fresh account as well.

TS3988 Help - How do I manage to remove an IOS device, in this case an IPhone 4S, from my Apple ID account? I want to use this account only for my IPAD

I have managed to initially set up our two IOS devices - my wifes IPhone 4S and my IPAD 2 - in a not so smart way.
I used the same Apple ID account for both devices.
As such it worked, however after a few days we decided to have two different Apple ID accounts, one for each device.
I made a new Apple ID account for my wifes Iphone, and kept the old account for my IPAD.
This is as well working now with both these accounts, however I have found out that my wifes IPhone is still registered under my account.
This I will like to have rectified and cleared, i.e. I want my wife's phone cleared from my Apple ID account, so that my Apple ID account only contain information related to my IPAD 2.
My wife's Apple ID account for her IPhone 4S works fine and we do not need to change anything for this account.
However, how can I clear/edit my own account, so that it only contain information about my IPAD?
For example, when I use the Apps "Find My Iphone" I can see that the system is trying to locate both my IPAD and my wife's IPhone 4S, when I have logged on with my Apple ID account no. This show that one way or the other both devices are registered under my Apple ID account.
I will appreciate some assistance to tell how to rectify this matter,

How do I get my account to log in again and function properly, I shouldn't have to wait until I have a meagre £2.99 in my account again do I because I need the app store for other apps etc and updating, even if it is only 3 days I want my account back, I do not want nor did I give permission for the in-app purchase and would be happy for it to be returned/credited back so I can have MY account available for my IPhone.
Please can someone give me more information or let me know how else I can get my account working again, before pay day on tuesday.

I previously owned an iPad. I want to restore my iBook collection from my iPad to my Macbook. I can only see my collections but not the books. How can I restore it from my iPad backup?

I prevsiouly owned an Ipad. Before selling it, I backup it on my Macbook. When the new Mavericks has been released, i upgraded my Mac. Now that I have iBooks on my Mac, I want to restore my iBook collection from my previous Ipad to my Mac. On my Mac, I can only see the iBooks collection of my previous iPad but not the books that I have purchased. I probably had more than a hundred books on my collection (in epub and pdf formats). I have already tried transferring purchases in iTunes and adding to my Library but to no avail.
Can anyone give me a solution to this.

Restore as a NEW device to test. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

Hi - I'm having the same problem with freeing up space on the HD. If I can't free space if I'm using any part of the clip, how can I split up the clips so that I can discard the part I won't use? This is crazy! I have only 4 GB of free space left!
Also, I've tried to transfer the project file to my external HD but I keep getting an error saying I can't transfer it. I've been told this is because I don't have enough space on the HD for the transfer. I tried a similar transfer with another computer with plenty of HD space but the same error occurred. Is there a way to break up the project file into small pieces for the transfer (I'm thinking the whole movie file is just too big)?

There's nothing special in sqldev to enforce privileges, the database does all that already. See the database documentation on the GRANT and REVOKE statements. Basically, you would only want to grant SELECT privileges to your users...
