4 4 10000
5 5 10000
6 7 4000
8 12 5000
13 14 10000
How to achieve this in SQL?
Edited by: 801694 on 21-Apr-2011 03:38
A simple test:
1. XML data
<element>row 1 - row 2</element>
2. RTF-Template
<?xdofx:replace(element,' - ',chr(13))?>
No need for any table structure or form fields, just paste this line of code as plain text into an empty rtf document.
Load the test data into your template builder for word and create Preview > Excel.
On BI Publisher Template Builder for Word 10.1.3.3.3 this returns the multiline output. If this doesn't work on your side, then it's most likely cause of your older version.

Date format should be YYYYMMDDhhmmss (Output sy-zonlo) format
I am giving date 06/26/2009 format, but i want output in "YYYYMMDDhhmmss" format. is there any FM for this
Convert date to timestamp : [CONVERT DATE |http://help.sap.com/abapdocu/en/ABAPCONVERT_DATE_TIME-STAMP.htm]
There are FM like FRE_CONVERT_DATE_TO_TIMESTMP that use this statement, but better use the statement.

Hi All,
How can i configure output file name to the desired format generated in target directory in communication channel configuration in conf scenario.
ex: i want to generate the file in the below format..
YYYYMMDD_<Receiver>.TXT
Thanks and Regards
VenkateshHi,
This is the UDF u have to write in Mapping,
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey key =
DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
String ourSourceFileName = conf.get(key);
return ourSourceFileName;
Using this u will get the File name into target side,In this UDF add the Time stamp.
Check this link for more details.

I have to display the output in this format:
Change Request 1 | Tr No.1 | Tr No.2 | Tr No.1 | and so on....
Obj1
Obj2
Obj3
Change Request 1 | Tr No.1 | Tr No.2 | Tr No.1 | and so on....
Obj1

Like this it should go on.
I have done the coding part, how to display the data in the above format i am not getting any idea, please help me out if you have any ideas.
Thanks & Regards
Haritha.Hi Vijay,
First of all thank you for the response.
I am retrieving the data from different tables and putting all the data in one internal table called i_final. Below is the declaration of that internal table and how i have populated the data to that. I am using control break statements to display the data but the data is coming in the next line.
Please see the final internal table:
1. Declaration:
Data:Begin of i_final occurs 0,
ccsnr like ysts-ccsnr,
trkorr like ysts-trkorr,
obj_name like e071-obj_name,
check_box(1),
status LIKE YSCS-STATUS,
End of i_final.
2. Populating different internal tables data to this table:
loop at i_ccno.
i_final-ccsnr = i_ccno-ccsnr.
i_final-trkorr = i_ccno-trkorr.
read table i_status with key trkorr = i_ccno-trkorr.
if sy-subrc = 0.
i_final-status = i_status-status.
endif.
read table i_obj_name with key trkorr = i_ccno-trkorr.
if sy-subrc = 0.
i_final-obj_name = i_obj_name-obj_name.
endif.
append i_final.
clear i_final.
endloop.
3. Using Control break statements to display the data.
sort i_final by ccsnr.
loop at i_final.
at new ccsnr.
write:/2 i_final-ccsnr.
endat.
write:20 i_final-trkorr.
uline.
endloop.
But the output is coming like this:
CHG0003785 HSDK933109
HSDK933111
HSDK933113
HSDK933143
HSDK933268
But i want the output like this:
CHG0003785 | HSDK933109 | HSDK933111 | HSDK933113
Thanks & Regards

How to open Report output in RTF format using concurrent request form.
Hi
I have created a report using BI publisher and RTF format. This report is working fine in PDF format. User can submit report using consurrent request form and can see report preview in PDF format.
Now user wants to submit another request and wants to see report output in RTF format.
User submitted a request, request successfully completed and generated a output RTF file in unix box but when user wants to see report output using concurrent request form (View Output) then window is showing raw data instead of RTF output.
Can any body tell me about solutions?
Thanks
RaviHi Ravi
I did little R&D on it and found following 2 solutions.I am sure that you also find something but for my shake i am putting it here.If you already find the solution then ignore it.
I) 1st Solution
1)Change the profiles 'Viewer: Application for Text' and put value as 'Browser'
2) Change the profiles 'Viewer: Text' and put value as 'Browser'.Either change it system level or concerned user.
3) Log out from Current session and close all internet explorer application.
4) Log in again to check the result
II) 2nd Solution
1) Navigate to: Sys admin --> Install -> Viewer Options to open the Form "Viewer Options".
Do the entry as shown below:
File_Format Mime Type Description
RTF application/rtf Microsoft Word(.rtf)
RTF application/msword Microsoft Word(.rtf)
2) Then ensure that the profile option Viewer: Application for Text is set to BLANK at the Site Level and User Level.
3) Then ensure that the profile option Viewer: Text is set to 'browser' at the Site Level.
-- It will pop-up the screen to choose application name from above two values.
Hope this will work it for you. For me i replicated the scenario and both solutions were working for me.
With Best Regards

Display ALV list output in PDF format
Hi All,
My requirement is :
I am displaying output using Function module 'REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY'. then i will click one button which placed in application tool bar say 'Download to PDF' when i click this button it will display the output in PDF format. I tried with exsting threads but i unable to get suitable solution.Anybody can send me the sample code please.
Thanks in advance.
Maheedharplease go throuh the below procedure and sample Code, this might help you.
Procedure
When we activate the Smartform the system generates a Function Module. The function module name we can get from Smartfrom screen from menubar
Environment => Function Module_Name . In a report we can get this Function module name by calling a Function Module standard SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME. This function module at runtime calls the FM generated by smartform, which in turn is then used to pass data from the report to Smartform. In the report given below the FM generated is /1BCDWB/SF00000152 . In this FM we can see CONTROL_PARAMETERS in import tab. This is of type SSFCTRLOP. We need to set the GETOTF of this to be X. Setting this field will activate the OTF field in smartform.
In export tab of the FM generated by smartform we can see a parameter JOB_OUTPUT_INFO which is of type SSFCRESCL. The SSFCRESCL is a structure of having one of fields as OTFDATA. OTFDATA in turn is a table of type ITCOO. ITCOO has two fields TDPRINTCOM and TDPRINTPAR. TDPRINTCOM represents command line of OTF format data and TDPRINTPAR contains command parameters of OTF format data.
In every Smartform output in OTF format, TDPRINTCOM begins and ends with //. EP represents the end-of-page value for TDPRINTCOM field.
In addition we need to set few fields at the place where we call this FM(generated by smartform) in our program. While calling this FM we should set control_parameters, output_options, user_settings and job_putput_info fields as shown in program.
Once these settings are done we can call Function Module CONVERT_OTF to convert the OTF data of smartfrom output to PDF data format. Once these are done we can call method cl_gui_fronted_services=>file_save_dialog to specify the directory path where we want to save the output PDF file. After this we can call Function Module GUI_DOWNLOAD to download the PDF file on our local system.
Here is a sample code of program to perform the function.

XML Publisher report default output in Excel format.
Hi,
We have defined one concurrent program whose output format is text, this concurrent program executable is PL/SQL and in this PL/SQL program we are generating XML data and displaying XML using below fnd_request.
l_conc_id := FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST('GMP','GMPPDROP','', '',FALSE,
p_sequence_num,chr(0),'','','','','','','','','','','',
We have also defined template for this.
Using below fnd_request we are choosing template and data is getting generated in PDF format. Now our requirement is to display the output by default in Excel format.
FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST('XDO','XDOREPPB','', '',FALSE,'',
l_conc_id,554,G_comb_pdr_temp,
G_comb_pdr_locale,'Y','RTF','',scale_report,'','','','','',
When i saw XML Report Publisher concurrent program, there is one parameter for Output Format and i tried passing 'Excel'/EXCEL/excel to this parameter but output is still coming in PDF format.
FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST('XDO','XDOREPPB','', '',FALSE,'',
l_conc_id,554,G_comb_pdr_temp,
G_comb_pdr_locale,'Y','RTF','Excel',scale_report,'','','','','',
I have also tried giving Default Output to EXCEL in template definition but this is also not working.
Your valuable suggestions highly appreciated.
Thanks

Xml report output in excel format without using options tab in EBS
How to get xml publisher report output in excel format without using options tab in EBS?
I am getting XML Publisher report output in excel format by using options tab while submitting the concurrent request .
But i want to get excel output automatically.
Can anyone give idea to get XML publisher Report output in excel without selecting options tab.
Thanks in advance
Sandeep VHey Sandeep,
I am working on a similar format for a report and if possible can you please give me some guidelines. I have initially created reports using XML Publisher, but for those , the output preview format was PDF. So, if I select the preview format as EXCEL will it give me output in Excel and for this to happen, how do I define the rtf template. I believe the working will be same as for PDF, create a rdf report, get output in XML and apply the template to get the data in Excel or there is something different to this.
Thanks,
Sunil -
Hi all,
I am not able to view the output in EXCEL format after registered the RTF file in the XML Publisher Administrator to run as a concurrent program.
