What happened to the phone. Did it just go black? Did you try to plug it into Itunes and see if it can be seen or throw it on the charger. You can still try the reset procedure listed in http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430 and see if the phone turns back on.
The only way to get things back is to have backed them up ahead of time.

I accidentally deleted all of my updates and they're not coming back. I haven't been able to make any updates since 2006. I have a log of my past updates but I cannot seem to get them active again. Is there any easy way to get these updates active again?
This was a while ago back in 2006 but from what I can remember I actually deleted/permanently removed these updates from my list of updates. I tried keeping all the updates except for two that I did not need and somehow deleted all of the updates I wanted to keep. I've tried reseting my ignored updates but that does not bring back the updates. If i delete the two that I originally attempted to remove - it only brings those two back. I hope there is still some way to get these updates back. I appreciate any help that anyone is able to give me.

It is usually impossible to get the MAC address of the maker of a HTTP request in any programming language or system.
At best, you can get the MAC of the closest intervening router, firewall, whatever.
Are you sure you mean the MAC address? MAC looks like this: 8:ab:f0:0:71:bb:90 (Ethernet), or 01-23-45-67-89-ab (Token Ring), etc, depending on your network type.
In contrast, an IP address looks like this: 209.249.116.195. If you want the IP address, check out the javadoc for HttpServletRequest and ServletRequest. Caveat: load balancers, web caches, proxy servers, etc will mask the "true" peer's address. Don't do anything silly like try to use the IP address for security or authentication.

Since downloading the new iOS 5 software I lost all my pictures, and I'm really upset about it. If you cannot get them by restoring from backup then they are gone.
Why would you update anyhting without making sure that all of your pics were on your computer and backed up?
You should never update/reinstall any software without making sure that everything is backed up.

I am currently in charge of upgrading software for a small publishing company, and I need to be able to work with cs3 files. The only way I can figure out doing this is by purchasing a shiny new mac and upgrading to CS5. The problem is that we have about 10 years of Quark legacy files which work fine now but wont if I upgrade to Os x10.5 Snow Leopard. ( Our clients wont be upgrading to adobe anytime soon either )
So my question is this: Is it possible to purchase CS3/4 or do I have to spend a few thousand pounds on new hardware?

Hi TMS, I have read quite a few questions just like yours and many have recommended a product called Ice Cream. The first two links below are reviews of the product and the last is a link to the site to buy it.
I have not tried it myself, but you never know. It's worth trying before you spend more money on a new iPod.
I do agree with the other poster though, your friend owes you a new iPod if their kid ruined it. Just another reason to stay away from children
