I cannot see many pictures on my start page. On my eBay page I cannot see most pictures and my plugin for signing in on my eBay page are missing.
I wanted to disable some Firefox Add On's and see if this would help.
I have no problems with Explorer but I prefer to use Firefox.

When you were entering your new password in mac mail for your Yahoo account, you didn't perchance change the user name from [email protected] to just name without the @att.net? I only ask because I've done that, and att.yahoo mail requires a fully qualified [email protected] for access.
In mail, you might click on window on the menu bar, then connection doctor. On the account with the red dot next to it, it will tell you why it can't connect, and if you click on it, you'll be taken to where you can fix it.

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

The Apple Mobile Device driver is loaded and operating. The anti-virus software and firewall are not at fault (were uninstalled, and made no difference). The iTunes on my older machine running Vista does recognize the inoperative iPod (iTunes has detetced an iPod in recovery mode) and allows me to restore the device. Can anyone help to resolve this problem on the Windows 7 PC?

Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.

Now that all of that is complete, I tried to restore it from the back up point I created and it will not recognize my Apple ID password. Restoring an iPad from an iTunes-generated backup should not require an Apple ID password.
Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password.

Enter the correct passcode to access the Wi-Fi, it is NOT the admin password for the Wi-Fi.
Or, simply plug the device into the computer and restore it from the backup there.

i just called hbo now. they are on system overload. apparently no one can sign in. she recommended i try to sign in during the middle of the night to see if it works. they "hope" to have the problems resolved in short order. she said not to sign up for a new subscription because you will be charged for 2 subscriptions.

iOS: Unable to update or restore

I want to back up an IMAP account via POP3 in Thunderbird but it will not download old emails that are still on the server. How can I do this?

I wand to use Thunderbird to back up and purge old emails from an account via POP3. This account is accessed by other users using IMAP on their computers and phones.
I want to archive and purge old messages from the server using Thunderbird. But, it will not download messages that apparently are marked as read on the server via IMAP.

Pop mail accounts must be set up to 'leave messages on the server'.
check this before using.

select: 'leave messages on the server'
optional: select: 'for at most xx days' this will delete anything older than specified number of days select 'Until I delete them' when you delete an email it will be deleted off the server.
click on Ok to save settings.
Pop mail accounts only look at Inbox and download whatever has not been previously downloaded regardless of whether it has been read or not. They cannot access nor download from any other folder on the server.
If you wanted to download emails in other fodlers, you would have to move emails into the Inbox in order to download them and this may not be very practical in your situation.
What you can do is synchronize your IMAP folders to get a copy downloaded to your IMAP mail account.
Then go into 'offline' mode to stop any further synchronizing as synchronized folders do get updated.
MozBackup tool could now be used to backup the Profile as synchronising created mbox files which contain emails.
You can also do the following to get a copy outside of the IMAP mail account:
Create the same folders in 'Local Folders'.
Then right click on email and 'copy to' and select Local Folders and the folder you require.
Putting a copy in Local Folders means these emails are also on your computer and they are not influenced by anything you do in the IMAP folders.
You would need to backup emails in these folders.

Chat is available on the support site after logging in to My Verizon on the web, but you have to click on Contact Us at the top right of the page then choose Live Chat and then Help with My device and then look to the right and wait for the red dot to turn green. *611 will take you to a screen where you can launch My Verizon or Click to Call which dials the customer support number. Unfortunately chat is about as useless as waiting for a rep to respond in the forums. Calling is the only way to get started and work your way up the chain. Going to a store is a hassle. What exactly is the problem you're having? You can't activate the phone or set up your Google accounts or what?

I've been having this problem too, but here's the catch: originally it was only with my dad, and only sometimes. Now it's dad and husband, every time! Pix go through, via imessage, to everyone else, and they go through to dad/husband if I "send as text" after it fails.
And the other annoying thing- the blue bar will run all the way, and it will say "delivered". So I close out of imessage. When I reopen it again, the "delivered" has changed to "not delivered" with the red exclamation point. So the version of windows is not your problem. Your problem is the virtual machine is not se to use the mac dvd drive. Have you looking into the machine settings. Not windows settings, the virtual machine settings. Make sure it is set to connect the mac dvd drive to the virtual machine.
A good place to start would be the parallels help system. Not the windows help system.
