I am working on 4.7ee version.
I have similar requirement that for one user id we have option to logon multiple times, but now I have to control based on terminal id and SAP session ID, if user logon more than one time from the same terminal, program should read and end the second logon session.
Please let me know if you have any idea on this regard...

Insert into SAP table from external program

Hi Gurus,
I need to perform an insert of several records into a couple of SAP tables from an external program.
Do you know of an RFC (if it is remote enabled the better) that allows me to specify the table and records to perfom an insert?

I don't know ABAP and wanted to avoid writing my own function if one standard exists.
My requirement stands like this, I have a few z tables that need to populate from my C# application by use of the .Net connector.
I haven't found a BAPI or RFC that allows me to add records to any table, but I don't know all the RFCs.
May be one of you passed throu this already.

Passing data to SAP script from print program-VF03

Hi All,
I have a stand alone print program which ahs the invoice number in its selection screen which when entered displays the layout of invoice by using a sap script.
Now since I have to get this layout displayed from VF03, I have added the program, sap script name and a subroutine which contains the code which was initially there under the start-of-selection event in the stand alone program, in NACE. I have replaced the selection screen parameter for invoice number in my program with nast-objky which contains the invoice entered in vf03.
But when I am entering the invoice in vf03 and selecting print preview, the data is getting captured in the internal table defined in my program but the same is not getting reflected in the layout displayed. So I am always getting the blank values in the output though I did not modify the original sap script at all. Pls help.

Keep a breakpoint in your print program and see if your program is being triggered indeed. Do not forget to start Update debugging, otherwise it will not stop in your print program.

How to access a table of SAP standard SAP method from external program

I have to access a table and modified it defined in a standard SAP method (PROCESS_INPUT_FILTER) of class (CL_HANDLE_MM).
As we normaly do it in case of Standard program
for example: ('(SAPLMEPO)ett[]') here we are accessing internal table ett defined in SAPLMEPO.
so how we can do the same thing if some thing defined in standard SAP method.

divisible by .5 in order to test for whole or half numbers only. If not, I use an alert to
display a message when the user leaves the field.
If there is a better way to achieve this, I am all ears!

SAP Script from FM

am calling a SAP Script from FM, in this SAP script there are some variables used the values to these variables are assigned inside FM. but these are not getting displayed. where as when I am calling the FM from report program the values are getting displayed

1. You can print the data by using report program or application(through assingment in NACE)
2. When you want to print some standard SAP application like pur. order , sales order this you will do with NACE and you fire the print from that application transaction like ME21, ME22, VA01 etc.
3. Next is through stand alone transaction or program that is a report program thorugh which you will call the OPEN_FORM, WRITE_FORM, CLOSE_FORM and print the output.
I think in your case, you are print through report program. If you want to write some data from print program to layout you should call WRITE_FORM by passing window and text elements.
even when you are calling sap script from some other wrapper function module also, it calls and prints the data in the form.
But ultimatly you should print the data by using report program or standard sap application method.

Searching SAP contracts from SRM 4.0

In classic scenerio the Backend Contracts will be available in the SOurce of Supply Tab in the Shipping cart screen.
System will propose the Contarcts from BE based on the Product Category in Shopping cart item.

Add new system to SAP Logon 720 Patchlevel 2

Hi,
i installed SAP Logon 720 Patch 2 on my computer. On my old installation, Logon 710, it was no problem to add, change and delete new system connection.
But in Logon 720 the buttons are grey and not active.
Has anybody a tipp how i can activate this buttons?

PS, to SAP developers: there are multiple companies frowning upon the decision to display the grayed-out buttons in saplgpad. I would hate to roll-out 720 with a in-house launcher for saplgpad that hides the buttons using some dirty hack.

Can't get SAP logon pad to work.

I've tried installing the latest version of SAP on a PC running XP, and got this error when I double click on the SAP logon pad:
C:\Program Files\SAP\SapSetup\setup\SAL\saplgpad.s8l
This action is only valid products that are currently installed.
This PC may have had an older version of SAP that was not properly uninstalled. I've tried reinstall the new version several times. I tried a registry cleaner after removing SAP, but that did help either. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Kindly check the Microsoft dot-net frame work. because some of the same Sap application require to install the latest Dotnet frame work.

Getting an exit value from a program called thru a shell script

how do i get the correct exit value always from a program called thru a shell script
the getExitValue of the process works fine someitmes but not always ...
Ex: write a pgm which sleeps for 5 secs & returns with exit(100).try to invoke this thru a script & try to run this script from Runtime.getRuntime.exec(..)
...the exit value is not same as 100.(it works if the sleep is not given though !!)
can nebody help??

Use this.
DELETE { {FROM target [WHERE sql_cond]}
| {target FROM source} }.
*But before deleting the rows please check if this Ztable is being used in any other programs or used by others.
Check "where-used-list"
in se11 give the table name
utilities- where-used list.
