I want to update my apps but i cant log out of my kids account off my phone?

My kid is logged in to my iphone and I created my own account and want to update apps. When it asks to update it still brings up my sons Apple ID account. How do I put mine on. I have already created one and looks like I am logged in but still does that when I click update apps. Need help

All apps - all paid and free apps include DRM protection that is tied to the iTunes account or Apple ID that was used to download the apps.
An app downloaded with the Apple ID that was used by your kid to download the app must be used to install an app update for the app.

Which settings are you checking, you should be checking settings > store

We do have a place in the UK which we could use as an address, but for various reasons it gets a bit complex even though we still have a UK bank account. We moved to France when there were no iDevices and apps around, just bought the occasional music, so it wasn't a problem. Funny thing is I can't even download the free UK bank app because it's not available in the French store .
I'll live with the problem for now as we plan to move back to the UK in a year or so - we miss the weather .

When I opened my App Store today, I found 6 apps needing update. I clicked “Update All” and there popped “Sign in to iTunes Store” and asked me to enter the Apple ID password for <my account>. I entered my password for the Apple ID but it said “Your Apple ID or password is incorrect.” Since I entered incorrect passwords many times, I had to reset my password two times already. I want to update the apps on my phone. But, I can’t , and this is tiring, exhausting, and frustrating. My questions: (1) Why is iTunes asking for a password for an old account when I changed that already? (2) What to do now - Do I sign out of iTunes, delete the account and create a new one?

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove your email addresses from your post (it's not a good idea to post personal info on any public forum).
Is the old account a completely different iTunes account, or is it just a previous primary email address on the same account ? If it's a different account then all content that you download from the store is tied to the account that downloaded it, so only that old account will be able to download updates to its apps.
If it's the same account, just a previous primary email address, then what id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your phone ? You could try tapping on that and log out of it and then log back in with the updated version and see what id then shows for updates.

Are you sure it isn't referring to the space on your phone rather than the space in your iCloud account? Check the available space by going to Settings>General>Usage (at the top). If you're out of space on your phone, you'll have to delete something to make more room.
If you need to manage your iCloud space see: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4847, but I don't see how that would have anything to do with your ability to update your apps.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Any apps that she downloaded onto the device are tied to her apple ID. They cannot be transferred to another account. To update those apps, you would either need her password, or you could delete the apps and download them using your own apple id.

How do I log into the App Store after not logging out and deleting an account

I deleted an account and didn't log out of the App Store and it won't let me log back in.

What happens when you go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and tap on the ID and then tap on log out?
Also how did you "delete" the account?

I had the same situation with my iPod touch 5th gen. You can manually reboot it thru pressing sleep/wake button and holding it up to 10 secs - no data will be lost.. This didn't work in mine, but to some it did..
If it won't work, you could do what I did which is I reset all settings in the Reset part. It won't lose any data, just the settings (if you have just less settings did to the device, which I had). So just configure or tweak things again in the settings when it reset again.

You'll need to reset the password that account then before you can transfer these purchases to your iTunes library and your iPhone.
