My iPhone 4s keeps telling me to connect to iTunes to recieve notifications from my apps but I am signed in to my iTunes account on my phone. Any help?
please help me. I have shut my phone off for about 5 minutes then turned it back on and still says the samething when I open my apps and my mail. Any help would be great.

After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning device recognition issues:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for OS X
Follow these steps to resolve your issue:
If you haven't connected your iOS device to this computer before, unlock the device and tap Trust. Learn more about the Trust This Computer alert.
Restart your iOS device.
Restart your Mac.
Make sure that your Mac meets the minimum system requirements for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Install software updates on your Mac.
If an iTunes update is available, apply the update.
Check USB connections. iOS devices need USB 2.0 to work properly. If you're not sure your Mac has USB 2.0 ports, check the computer's specifications.
Disconnect other USB devices and connect your device directly to a USB port on your Mac.
Try another USB cable.

I have been having trouble with my iphone 4 for the past day . i tried to update it to 7.0.4 then the screen went blank and it keeps telling me to connect to itunes . I have connected it to 2 computers , using different cords and it doesnt recognize it . It says it is in recovery mode and i need to restore . after clicking restore it says that my iphone cannot be restored . I am very frustrated because i have been online searching for solutions all day and nothing seems to work . As soon as i turn on my phone it goes to the apple logo for about 2 seconds then the connect to itunes screen . SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ! my phone is my life and i need it back on .
Connect the device to iTunes and restore from the most current backup.
If the issue continues, restore as new. -

Did you try recovery mode? Hold down the home button as you connect it to iTunes. iTunes should pop up a window that says "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode" and give you the option to restore.

Your iPhone is in recovery mode. Do the following to get it out of recovery mode.
Plug your iPhone into your computer with iTunes open make sure iTunes recognizes the iPhone in recovery mode.
Hold down the power button and the home button to do a hard reset and shut it off
Keep your finger on the Home button ONLY and unplug the iPhone from the cable
Release the Home button and allow the iPhone to power back on which may take a few minutes
The iPhone will return to its prior format

Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing will be reset

I just upgraded from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone5s. I was trying to set up my new iPhone. I connected it to my Mac and iTunes and chose "restore backup from old phone". It's now finished syncing but my iPhone keeps on telling me to "connect to itunes". It's as if my new iPhone is not recognizing that restoring is done. What do I need to do?

Try restoring the new iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup. If no problem after this, bingo. -
I tried to updated my phone to iOS 7.1.1 and it wouldn't load. It just kept saying "Verifying Update" and wouldnt load. It was on the charger and then it just shut off and now it's telling me to connect to itunes. I tried shutting it off and restarting it but it just keeps showing up. I dont know what to do. And when I connected to itunes, it says i have to restore my phone and that my phone is in restore mode.
Your phone is in recovery mode and must be restored using iTunes.
Any data that you did not back up has been lost.

Actually i am facing a very annoying problem with Whatsapp. now it doens' push notifications to me about any messege that came to me and whenever i open it it pops up"connect to iTunes to push notifications..." and when i tap on "ok" i can see how messeges all come together. when i close it and re open it again i see the same annoying messege pops up over and over again. i runed off the notification option in settings for Whatsapp and turned it on again and reset my iPhone for 30 seconds and still nothing changed.

I just changed my passcode lock for my I-pod touch 4g because some people found out my code. I confirmed it and everything but it still will not work. It said' Passcodes match' now every time I type in the same exact thing it says "Connect to I-tunes". I have connected to I-Tunes a ton of times but i don;t know how to change it. Can someone please help me and tell me where I need to go to change it?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
