By "sending" do you mean sending email?
If so, what app are you using to take the photos on your iPhone 5? Or are the photos from a different source (saved to your Camera Roll from somewhere else, like a web page or Messages)?
My guess is that Mail gives you the option to send different file sizes when it detects you are trying to Mail a really large photo file. The size of photos on the iPhone 5 is really big and some email providers may stop your mail from being delivered if attachments are too large. Thus, Mail tries to help you by offering to resize the photo.
I suspect that if you are sending smaller files, Mail does not bother giving you options to save a smaller version. In fact, I have seen this behavior. So, if the photo is already "small enough", it gets sent as-is.
To my knowledge, there is no global iOS setting for this. Some apps may have different rules, of course. -

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Hi, please can anyoner help. I had a power cut at home and went to switch the imac back on and all i can get is a grey screen, a chime and a circle going around but no blue screen when I start up .I have tried pressing the power button for ten seconds with it switched off .Tried installing back up discs and after about an hour it comes up with an error that caused installation to fail and to contact the software manufacturer, tried again and the same happened. Tried apple hardware test and test results say no trouble found so am trying the extended test .any help would be great, thanks,Andy.
Try resetting the smc and pram.
To reset the smc
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord.
Wait fifteen seconds.
Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
To reset pram
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys. -

Verify the configuration for sending mail - SMTP server address and your server password. If they are correct, but you still cannot send email, then delete your mail account and re-create anew.

I installed the update and now my itunes won't open - can anyone help?
I had to update as it wouldn't recognise my iphone anymore, although it opened fine prior to the upgrade.
Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. If it still isn't working, then restore the phone.

My phone is plugged in and the screen shows the power cord connector and arrow and the iTunes logo. I have made sure the plug is in and power on. Touching the screen does nothing. I have turned it off and back on I get an apple pic then back to the iTunes logo pic, arrow and plug....
I installed new update and have had the connect to iTunes all day. I got home connected to iTunes and it said my phone couldn't be updated it needed restored to factory settings. I was reluctant to lose everything so I ignored this and clicked update. After it installed it said to restore again. Again I ignored it and this time it updated my phone and my phone turned back on with everything there.
So glad I ignored the previous messages asking me to restore! You could try this if you have iTunes and don't want it restored to factory settings. -
I can't update my itunes to 10.7, can anyone help?
It gets almost half way then says "itunes has an invalid digital signature" then quites on its self. I really want to update it beacuse a recently update my ipad to IOS.6 or what ever it is and can't plug it in to my computer until i've update itunes. It just keeps doing the samething over again, then goes back to the start and trys to update it with the same outcome. Someone please help
That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
The small square Bookmark button to the right of the toolbar works well and diaplays color favicons. It's the top Bookmarks button that gives me the error and shows no colored favicons. Did I possibly load a Firefox update for Windows? Is there a separate update only for MAC computers?

There is some information in there that should help you to resolve your issue. Luckily, it is a very easy fix. It should be fixed in FF 10, so it is strange that you are seeing it. Are you sure you are on the latest release?

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as NEW. Nothing more "ingenius" to suggest than these steps that Apple has outlined in the manual. If these steps don't work, then go back to the Apple store. -

However I am really horrified that in so doing I seem to have lost two thirds of my music which has just disappeared, as well as my playlists.
