I wolud like to make a Drag&Drop JTree

Hi everyone:
I'm trying to implement a JTree with Drag&Drop support. I've been lookig for some code examples but It was imposible to find them. I didn't found either information about drag&drop.
Thank you very much. Chefo

Captivate is not really designed to do what you want in this instance.  It's more targeted at allowing a user to complete an assessment and then track whether or not they passed.  So it's only really set up to send information in a format that the LMS will understand and interpret as Pass/Faill and what the score was.
You really need something more flexible than that. So I think you would need to get a programmer involved and have the solution custom made.  In my experience, any time you try to diverge Captivate from what it was designed to do, and you need to get other IT professionals involved, you can kiss thousands of dollars goodbye before you have a workable solution.

    $Zen windows xp spk 3 drag & drop I just installed my ZEN 4 GB but it will not allow me to combine files in the music files using drag & drop. Therefore I have multiple files for the same artist based upon CD name.
    How do I make the Drag & Drop work so I can combine files?

    Thank you for the quick reply. I will keep this stuff in mind throughout
    my testing. I am under the impression that in order for the policies to
    work, I will have to copy the GroupPolicies folder from an XP machine to
    a network drive then open C1 on a W2K machine, and browse to that location
    from the Windows 2000 Group Policy (Edit Policies.. button). Does this
    sound right? Is this how you created the policies for XP?
    Thank you

  • The bookmarks toolbar is there but has no item buttons on it. How do I get the items back for this toolbar? Also would like to know if the toolbars can be put on the same line to make more room on the page (drag & drop) ??

    The bookmarks toolbar is there but has no item buttons on it. How do I get the items back for this toolbar?
    Also would like to know if the toolbar can be put on the same line to make more room on the page (drag & drop) ?? Like the menu & bookmarks toolbar could/should fit on same line. This would add more page view...
    Floyd Perry
    Thanks

    Check that you still have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * Make sure that you have the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * Check in "View > Toolbars > Customize" that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize window onto the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" then click the "Restore Default Set" button
    You can only move the content from a toolbar onto other toolbars if all toolbars support that feature. You need to check that in the options of each toolbar.

  • Need to make a drag and drop gui. How?

    Hi!
    I am making an application that has a toolbox/panel with different icons/images in it and a blank area that I can drag icons into from the toolbox. I also need a way to connect the icons together with arrows. Ultimately I want it all to represent a network of icons and connecting arrows. When I move an icon around, I need the arrows to follow. I need it to work kinda like MS Visio actually. After making the "network" I need to add values to the different icons and arrows (e.g. cost, number of items).
    I want an invisible grid on the blank area so the icons can get properly aligned (By snapping to the grid).
    For the draggable icons is the best way to make a custom component which extends JLabel or something?
    Thanks

  • How to make a Drag and Drop

    Hi, I'm new to this Adobe Edge and tried to do a Drag & Drop, the examples I've seen have not worked.
    I wonder if someone could share a file with  Drag & Drop with validation.
    What I need to do and would like to learn is:
    I have 4 buttons that I can drag and a box that I drag the right choice. If the option is correct stays, it is if it was incorrect is returned to its place of origin.
    I hope I can help, I will be very grateful.
    Thank you very much friends

    Hi I´m having an strange issue I can´t understand with my drop accept.  I explain it :
    - I have various scenes and in one of them a symbol i need to drag but this symbol must be draggable only if I click on a determinated position. I do this with a trigger and use this function at my stage.
    sym.getSymbol("_escena5").getSymbol('_filtroEscena5').$('Ellipse').mousedown(function(){
    sym.getSymbol("_escena5").$('_filtroEscena5').draggable();
    Ok it works perfect I can drag my symbol only if I touch this trigger.
    Then I need my droppable object responds to the same trigger so I use this:
    sym.getSymbol("_escena5").$('btnFantasma').droppable({
                        accept:sym.getSymbol("_escena5").getSymbol('_filtroEscena5').$('Ellipse'),
                        drop: function () {alert('Dropeo');}});
    But my dropable object does not responds. The curious thing is that if I use other object to the accept or just the "_filtroEscena5" where my Trigger is it´s works perfect. But it can responds to my Trigger. Any idea?
    Thanks so much

  • Drag&Drop over JList, would like to highlight cell

    I have a JList and have it defined as a drop site. What I would like to do is when the user drags a file from windows to my JList I would like to know which cell they dropped it on. Is this possible?
    It would also be nice to have the cell that the drag object is currently over sighlight like it's being selected.
    Thank you!!!

    For second part, where you want the cell that the item is being dragged over to be highlited, you could implement a MouseListener, and use the mouseEntered method to test a boolean to see if there is a Drag&Drop event happining. If trur then change the backgound color. Then use mouseExited() to reset the color to normal.

  • I deleted the "desktop" in tiger, can't "alias", "copy" or "drag & drop" anything to it now, I get a message that "desktop can not be changed"

    I was trying to make an alias of "SAFARI" icon to have on the desktop & in the dock as well, I managed to make the safari icon appear on the desktop, but when I wanted to switch from firefox to safari it wouldn't open / start safari, so OK, no big deal, I moved it the trash, ( by rt. click,>move to trash>click ) the horror starts here, everything on the desktop disappeared into the trash !!!!! ......
      So I have tried to "drag & drop", "alias", "copy", "duplicate" to get things back out of the trash, but every attempt is met with a message "the desktop con not be changed",   and whatever I try to bring anything out of the trash window, it gets a "minus - sign" added to it when it crosses over the edge of the trash window, and of course it jumps right back into the trash when the mouse button is released.
    I think (barely) I will need the do a "clean install", or a "restore" from the install DVD to restore / get the desktop back.
    And while the only thing on the desktop now is the HDD icon, clicking it open does not show the desktop in the Lf. column of the window where it should be, or any OS X folders when clicking on anything, but the OS is is running for this post and yahoo, etc., and there is a upward facing arrow next to the "network" name in the left column, that doesn't go away, like after installing some software, this is weird !!
    Any solid ideas welcomed, and Thanks for reading my driveling post,  .....  wayne146  .........
    this is happening on my back-up machine, a G4 400mhz PCI, OS X TIGER 10.4.11 & 9.2.2 in classic ( all the 9.2.2 stuff does still show in the hdd when clicked )
    I am having bigger troubles with my QS 800 dp, so I need this one to stay online, Please help !!!

    to safari it wouldn't open / start safari, so OK, no big deal, I moved it the trash, ( by rt. click,>move to trash>click ) the horror starts here, everything on the desktop disappeared into the trash !!!!!
    I am confused by what you did.
    open / start safari
    What did you do?  This looks like a terminal command.
    Or, did you click on the safari icon then right click on the safari icon then click on open?
    I do not understand how you that moving to the trash would be helpful.
    I suspect disk corruptions.
    I run disk utility verify the file system on your starup disk.  See below.
    verify & repair your startup drive
    To verify & repair you file system on the startup drive, you will need to run disk utility from you installation DVD.
    This article  will tell you how to get to disk utility.  Once in a disk utility, you can go and attempt to recover the disk.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1417
    To repair your startup drive, you will need to run disk utility from your startup DVD.
    Mac OS X 10.4: About the utilities available on the Mac OS X 10.4 Install DVD
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2055
    How to run disk utility from your startup DVD.
    Insert your  startup DVD  into your reader.  Power down your machine.  Hold down to the c key.  Power on your machine.  This will bootup your startup DVD.
    This will bring you to a panel asking you for your language.  Pick your language.
    You you come to the Install Mac OS panel.  Do not install.
    Click on Utilities menu item.  This will give you a pulldown list of utilities.
    Click on the disk utility.
    You are now in disk utility.  Pick your disk.  Click on repair it should be on the lower right of the panel.
    Once the repair completes successfully, you should update your permissions.
    Verify a disk
    As an alternative, you can verify that the filesystem on the disk is correct. You will not be able to repair the file system.
    I suggest that you use disk utility to verify that your startup disk is OK.  Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility  Start up disk utility.  On the left pane view, you will see a list of all your disks.   click on your startup disk.  Click on the First Aid  Tab.  Click on verify.   Hopefully your disk will verify.  If not, you have to boot from your installation DVD and run Disk First Aid from there to attempt to repair your file-system.

  • Bridge CS5 Windows crashes when I command/move or drag/drop files internally

    Bridge CS5 crashes with a Microsoft "report error" dialog whenever I drag images from one folder to another inside of Bridge, or use the right-click "Move To . . ." mouse command.  After months of successful use of the Bridge CS5, this behavior suddenly began.  Unfortunately, I can't now remember whether I did anything to my Windows environment at that time.  Bridge does not have trouble with dragging or command/moving files into Photoshop, but dragging image files (jpg) from a search screen or the Windows Explorer can also end in a crash.
    I'm running Windows XP SP3 32-bit on a 4-processor machine with adequate ram and lots of hard drive/scratch drive.  I deinstalled every trace of Bridge and reinstalled the upgrade 4.0.2.1, which makes me up to date. Working with Adobe Support I also cleared and uninstalled, and then reinstalled Photoshop, Bridge, etc. to fix some other problems.
    I have experimented with purging the Bridge cache for individual folders I was dragging from and to, but didn't purge all caches.  Typically, the crash appears a few seconds after dragging/moving a file - continuosly sucking-me into thinking things are at last repaired.  On occasion images are lost - i.e. really destroyed, or dropped into some limbo somewhere.
    I'd be truly grateful for any ideas to try, no matter how extensive or simple.
    Thanks!

    Hi Robert,
    I'm a developer from Br team. Thanks for reporting Br. problems.
    It seems like a memory issue. Please try this to help us identify the root cause:
    1. Disable all startup scripts (Edit->Preferences->Startup Scripts->Disable All), then restart Br.
    2. When Br is running, kill "SwitchBoard" process in task manager.
    3. When do Copy&Move operations, don't use Drag&Drop, try to use "Move To / Copy To" menu. (A known issue of Bridge, should be fixed in later versions)
    Does the crash still happens?
    Thanks very much!

  • How to drag drop a calendar item to a time in next week ?

    Hi
    creating a event through a big menu is fine ... but a very elegant and quick way is to select the cells and write the event. similarly, drag-drop a event is super easy way to re-schedule an event to another time. when i have 20-30 events to re-schedule from current to next week, drag-drop is best.
    however, i am unable to do that. when i drag drop, i cant drop it to next week (i am using weekly view to be able to select any time of destination day for drop - the bi-weekly or monthly views don't allow choice of destination time)
    this could be implemented in two ways :
    1. in current weekly view, if the drag crosses the boundary, calendar shifts to the next (or previous) week. and then i drop the event.
    2. there can be a option to see upto 2 weeks in columns just like 1 week view. i understand that the columns will be too tight but the fullscreen option makes it very usable.
    or, you can suggest your own work-around.

    instead of using target, try using currentTarget...
    event.currentTarget.startDrag();
    event.currentTarget.stopDrag();

  • Drag&Drop from Lightroom to Premiere doesn't work! Programming an alternative?

    Unfortunally the is no working Drag&Drop ability to drag a videofile from the Lightroom Library into the Premiere Project View.
    (This Problem appears only on a Windows machine not on Mac)
    This is becaus if you send a (valid) filepath to "Adobe Premiere Pro.exe" as a parameter it doesn't do anything! Why that?!?!?
    It makes no difference if you drop a file on "Adobe Premiere Pro.exe" or if you use the windows command shell like "C:/...<path to premiere>.../Adobe Premiere Pro.exe" "myfile.avi"  , simply nothing happens - at least with Premiere Pro CS5...
    So the Idea is to build an Lightroom Plug-In, that opens an exe-file with the filepaths of the currently selected Viedeos from the Lightroom Library as parameter.
    The exe-file should pass the information to an opened Project in Premiere an load the Videos into the Project.
    With ExtendScript Tool i can get this behaviour with this code:
    var myFiles = ["C:\\01.avi, ..."];
    app.project.importFiles(myFiles);
    I don't think that the Premiere SDK will help me out, because with that I can only build Plug-Ins that work INSIDE Premiere. I need a Executable that can send information/files to Premiere from Outside. The only thing I can think of is to load the right dll-file and call the function() for importing files to Premiere (I think this is what ExtendScript Tool does ), but I don't know how to start, because nothing is documented about the dlls...
    Any Ideas

    EDIT:
    Ok, I identified the dll which is importing Video-Files to Premiere:  HSL.dll
    At my pc it is located in:
    "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5\"
    The function that is called is named ImportFiles(...)
    That's the whole code, reverse engineered:

  • Urgent!  Adobe killed drag/dropping workflow in CC.  Help restore it!

    I posted this first FR at the end of another thread, here.  Due to the importance of this issue, IMO, I'm giving this FR a new thread, plus adding as second version of the same FR.
    My stance is simple.  Every change Adobe makes to Premiere Pro should be positive to most or all people.  If a change Adobe makes is negative for most or all people, then it must be removed.
    Adobe did a negative change in CC, which brings about zero positive improvements (unless proven otherwise which has not been done yet).
    In CC, drag-dropping clips no longer  = dropping what you're dragging!  If you only have a video track source patched, audio doesn't get dragged to the Timeline.  If you only have an audio track source patched, video doesn't get dragged to the Timeline.
    This is contrary to the way it worked in CS6 (where it made sense): drag drop clip = same clip dropped, regardless of Timeline settings!
    Please help fix this by sending the following FRs as your own or writing a FR of your own based on this new problem Adobe introduced in CC.  Thank you and God bless all those that care enough about Premiere to take action!
    VERSION 1 (revert back to CS6)
    *******Enhancement / FMR*********
    Brief title for your desired feature:
    Drag/Dropping video with audio clip from Source Monitor or Project window to Timeline should include both video and audio... always!
    How would you like the feature to work?
    The way it did in Premiere Pro CS6:
    A. Video with audio dragged from Project window = video with audio dropped in Timeline
    B. Three drag/dropping options from Source monitor, regardless of Source Patch settings.  Drag/drop:
    1. Source Monitor Image = Video + Audio
    2. 'Drag Video Only' button = Video only
    3. 'Drag Audio Only' button = Audio only
    In CC, these options no longer work properly depending on Source Patching.  This makes no sense, and provides zero benefits to the editor!
    Why is this feature important to you?
    Because intelligent workflows matter!  There's nothing intelligent or efficient about the Source Monitor's buttons working some times but not others, or drag/dropping a clip from the Project window only to find its audio doesn't appear in the Timeline.  When drag and dropping clips, Source Patching should determine default clip PLACEMENT, Not WHAT gets dragged to the Timeline!
    VERSION 2 (give us a choice!)
    *******Enhancement / FMR*********
    Brief title for your desired feature: Preferences window option to disable Source Patching's effect on drag/dropped clips.
    How would you like the feature to work?
    If Adobe can't/won't revert drag/dropping back to functional CS6 standards, whereby clip dragged = same content dropped regardless of Timeline settings, then please give us the option of turning off CC's new drag/dropping behavior through a new check box option in the Preferences Window: "Source patching affects Drag/dropping".
    Checked = CC behavior
    Unchecked = CS6 behavior
    Why is this feature important to you?
    Because respecting workflows matters!  CS6 and prior Premiere editors had their workflows disrespected when Adobe suddenly changed drag/dropping behavior with zero apparent benefits in return.  Please give us a choice in this matter or revert to CS6's intelligent drag-dropping altogether.

  • Issue with Drag/Drop of multiple rows from ListView

    I am working on a sample application with 2 list views i.e. players and team, and implement drop and drop such that players can be dropped from one list view to the other. Everything is working as expected when there is single selection model is enabled on the source list view. However, if I enabled Multiple selection model and drag 2 or more rows from source list view to target list view, seeing the following exception after the drop is completed.
    Exception:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Only serializable objects or ByteBuffer can be used as data with data format [subListPlayers]
      at com.sun.javafx.tk.quantum.QuantumClipboard.putContent(QuantumClipboard.java:513)
      at javafx.scene.input.Clipboard.setContent(Clipboard.java:230)
    1) What should be the DataFormat used in order to be able to drag and drop multiple rows? Looks like we do not have for Object type, so I have created the following one which does not solve the problem.
       private DataFormat dataFormat = new DataFormat("subListPlayers");
    2) I have made changes to support serialization on the data object which also does not seem to solve the issue. Tried by implementing Serializable interface as well as by implementing Externalize interface.

    Yeah, this is a pain. I filed https://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-29082 a while back. Go ahead and vote for it if you are inclined...
    I think the issue in your case is that the observable list provided by MultipleSelectionModel.getSelectedItems() is not Serializable. So even if you make your Player class Serializable, the list itself isn't. The first thing I would try, I think, is to make Player implement Serializable and then pass in an ArrayList instead of the observable list. So you can do
    content.put(dataFormat, new ArrayList<Player>(playersListView.getSelectionModel().getSelectedItems()));
    and
    List<Player> player = (List<Player>) dragEvent.getDragboard().getContent(dataFormat);
    teamListView.getItems().addAll(player);
    If that doesn't work, a workaround is just to store the "dragged list" in a property:
    final ListProperty<Player> draggedPlayers = new SimpleListProperty<Player>();
    // Drag detected handler:
    content.putString("players");
    draggedPlayers.set(playersListView.getSelectionMode().getSelectedItems());
    // Drag dropped handler:
    if (dragboard.hasString() && dragboard.getString().equals("players")) {
         teamListView.getItems().addAll(draggedPlayers.get());
         draggedPlayers.set(null);
