IAS - Cipher problem: NoClassDefFoundError

Hi, Experts,
I got the following exception:
AdminServlet ------> Intializing servlet...
Intializing PropertiesFile...
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/crypto/b
at javax.crypto.Cipher.getInstance(Compiled Code)
at
com.mobileum.license.MobLicenseCrypto.createLicenseEncryptCipher(Mo
icenseCrypto.java:95)
The same setup works OK on NT (Test Driver). jce1_2_1.jar is in
JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/ext. (I also tried to put it explicitly in the CLASSPATH).
I am using iAS 6.0 SP2 on unix and iAS 6.0 Test Driver on NT. I have JAVA
1.3.0.2 in the machines (could this cause the problem?).
I appreciate any comments and help.
Many thanks.

Xuran,
I had the same problem all day today
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError: java.lang.SecurityException: Cannot
set up certs for trusted CAs
I solved it when I included all the jars files from JCE1.2.1 distro I was
missing local_policy.jar

  • Loadjava Problem (NoClassDefFoundError)

    Hello,
    I got a problem when loading the java using Loadjava command under dos prompt
    the error is:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/lite/loadjava/Main
    How can i solve it? I have checked the classpath. It includes OLITE40.JAR already. Any other classpath should i set in the dos environment before using Loadjava command

    Check the JDK 1.3. Make sure the classpath includes the java class you want to load.

  • Oracle IAS Cluster Problem

    Can someone tell me how the ias cluster work?
    Do it need a clustering compenont? as like db clusterware or weblogic clustering?
    Thanks very much!

    "Cluster" is pretty wide/open term. Bit more details about what have you got (version of Oracle Application Server, kind of installation, your topology) and what do you want to achieve by having a cluster will help us suggest something. There are multiple types of cluster configurations varying by Oracle Application Server releases.
    So pl. be bit more specific about your problem/request.
    Thanks

  • Problems NoClassDefFoundError for the DocumentRange class

    Hi,
    I am trying to launche the ireport application, which uses the xerces.jar, xmlParserAPIs.jar and xalan.jar.
    All these 3 jars are in the classpath, I checked it.
    But I still get a Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/w3c/dom/ranges/DocumentRange
    I tried to put these libraries into the jre/lib/endorsed directory of my JDk (I use 1.4.2_08), but it does not work.
    Someone has an idea of what is a problem?
    Thanks for your help!
    Marie.

    add xml-apis.jar to your classpath.

  • Javax.crypto.Cipher.a  noClassDefFoundError

    We have been encrypting a string using the JCE on our desktop weblogic environment. It works fine there (Windows)
    when we try it on our server (Unix), it blows up with the following error:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
    at javax.crypto.Cipher.a(DashoA6275)
    at javax.crypto.Cipher.getInstance(DashoA6275)
    here is the code:
    String key = PropertyReader.getProperty("key");
    BASE64Decoder decoder = new BASE64Decoder();
    byte[] rawKey = decoder.decodeBuffer(key);
    SecretKeySpec skeySpec = new SecretKeySpec(rawKey, "AES");
    Provider p = Security.getProvider("SunJCE");
    Cipher cipher = Cipher.getInstance("AES",p); // We also tried Cipher.getInstance(“AES”) but got the same exception
    cipher.init(Cipher.ENCRYPT_MODE, skeySpec);
    byte[] encrypted = cipher.doFinal(participantId.getBytes());
    BASE64Encoder encoder = new BASE64Encoder();
    encryptedString = encoder.encodeBuffer(encrypted);
    the server is weblogic 8.1.5 with ssl enabled.
    if anyone had any tests to try or fixes, it would be great.

    Check the permissions on the jar files on your Unix server, particularly the JCE jar files if they were upgraded to support unlimited encryption.
    If the JVM finds a jar file, but cannot open it, the first exception thrown will be related to permissions on the JAR and it will complain the the ZIP cannot be opened. Subsequent attempts to access classes that are expected to be in that JAR file will result in a noClassDefFoundError.

    Hi, newsgroup:
    I have been developing with the Workshop for about a month now, and everything has been going great until last week. I have been connected and able to retrieve data from our AS/400 using the jt400 drivers, but all of a sudden something happened that caused me to get the following error. If anybody can assist, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Some background: I have the JDBC JAR inside the classpath for my server, and it is loading it properly because I can test the connection pool from within the appserver's admin console.
    In appserver:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/jdbc/wrapper/JTSConnectionHi. Did you get a response for this?
    Make sure you don't have the JDBC jar in the client classpath too. Just make
    sure it's in the server classpath. Let me know if that helps.

  • Java Reflection: NoClassDefFoundError again

    Hi everyone,
    I've search the forum about my problems but none of it seems to have solution to me, so I have to post this new topic, please understand for me.
    I'm writing a program that will parse java.class file to get their public methods, I'm using two methods
    clazz = Class.forName(className)and
    clazz.getDeclaredMethods();At first, I encounter problem about ClassNotFoundException at Class.forName(className), I've do some research and know that it is caused when the java.class file I'm parsing is not in the classpath, so I've add them to my classpath.
    ClassNotFoundException has gone, means that I can go to the next line of code clazz.getDeclaredMethods(), but then I encounter another problem NoClassDefFoundError org.eclipse.core.runtime.IProgressMonitor.
    The class I'm parsing using class org.eclipse.core.runtime.IProgressMonitor in jar file org.eclipse.equinox.common_3.2.0.v20060603,
    I guess that I need to load this jar file into my class loader, so I create my custom URLClassLoader as below
    public class JarFileLoader extends URLClassLoader
                 public JarFileLoader (URL[] urls)
                     super (urls);
                 public void addFile (String path) throws MalformedURLException
                     String urlPath = "jar:file:" + path + "!/";
                     addURL (new URL (urlPath));
    }In my code, before parsing the java.class file I've loaded all the jar file neccessary into my JarFileLoader using
    jarFileLoader.addFile(filePath);, then I use
    clazz = jarFileLoader.getClass(className)
    clazz.getDeclaredMethods();to get methods of java.class, but NoClassDefFoundError org.eclipse.core.runtime.IProgressMonitor still happens, Is there any error with my custom URLClassLoader, please help me with these problems

    I suggest you try doing this without a custom class loader first.
    It sounds like this class needs another class in another file.
    Try
    Method[] methods = org.eclipse.core.runtime.IProgressMonitor.class.getDeclaredMethods();You could get NoClassDefFoundError if a method refers to a class you don't have. So its important to look for an exceptions/errors which occur before this one.

  • Want to separate Portal into 2 part in one Server (1 for Dev,1 for testing)

    Hi.
    We have 1 server for Portal development (Oracle Portal 9.0.2.0.1 R2).
    The spec is
    -SunFire280R.
    -2 Gig Memory
    -2 Processor
    We install everything in one server (portal,database,iAS)
    The Problem is, we also have to use the Server for Testing and Production.
    So,how can we separate the Server into two Part, one for Portal Development,
    one for Portal testing & Production?
    Currently,mostly we use 2 port
    1)port 7777, for Login Page/ChangePssword/SingleSignOff (in infs)
    2)port 7778,for portal home,our portlets (in apps).
    How can we make it to be duplicated in One Server only?
    Thanks.

    ... another question would be why not upgrade those old Forms & Reports to the newest release 10.1.2.0.2 and use the latest Application Server to run them with?
    Release 6i and 1.0.2.2 is as you know desupported.
    Regards,
    Martin

  • NoClassDefFoundError ClientDataSupport when uploading OrdImage IAS 10.1.2

    Hello,
    I'm trying to upload ordimage into db (10g) using ADF. In JDev 10.1.3 with embedded OC4J it works fine. After deploying to IAS 10.1.2 I got the following error: javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/jdbc/driver/ClientDataSupport. I've read that there was bugfix in IAS 10.1.2 which was related to ClientDataSupport. Can anybody help?
    thx

    Thanks for the reply Avi,
    OAS 10.1.2 supports ADF with some limitations but we haven't had any major problem so far because of the version difference. Moreover displaying OrdImage is working fine. The problem is when we try to upload ordimage objects.
    We have a simple bypass solution for the problem. We call a stored procedure with a blob parameter in JDBC. This stored procedure creates the ordimage object and inserts it to the db.
    m_ordimage := ordsys.ordimage( ordsys.ordsource(p_blob, null, null, null, sysdate, 1 ),null, null, null, null, null, null, null );
    Regards,
    Gabor

  • Install problem olite NoClassDefFoundError: javax/activation/DataSource

    Hello,
    I ran into an installation problem with the Oracle BPEL PM server. Though the installation completed successfully during startup of the server the following error occurs (part of log, complete log follows):
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    <2004-12-11 16:22:45,959> <ERROR> <default.collaxa.cube> <ServerManager::handleInitException> Error while initializing java class "javax/activation/DataSource".
    Java class "javax/activation/DataSource" cannot be found. Check if class "javax
    /activation/DataSource" package is in your classpath.
    <2004-12-11 16:22:45,959> <ERROR> <default.collaxa.cube> <ServerManager::handleInitException>
    Failed to load OraBPEL Process "default" domain because:
    javax/activation/DataSource
    <ServerManager::loadAllDomains>
    ORABPEL START-UP ERROR!!!!!
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    It seems to happen because of the following exception:
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/activation/DataSource
    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
    On another WinXP-System everything is fine.
    I already had a default Oracle Lite Installation on my machine through Mobile Development Kit when installing BPEL PM Server. So I think there is a conflict between the two OLite DB... (Unfortunately I really need the first installation of OLite).
    When I tried to reach the bpel-OLite DB through msql everything is fine. I can address the orapbel schema either with the ODBC-DSN syntax or the syntax which uses the olsv2040 adaptor service.
    I checked ODBC.ini, ODBCinst.ini and polite.ini - they are configured as mentioned in another forum thread.
    The classpath seems to be correct as shown by the log (following). The class javax/activation/DataSource is in orapbel.jar - this archive is in the classpath. Perhaps the signature of the executed method doesn't fit with two concurrent olite DB on the system...
    Does somebody has an idea what's wrong with my configuration?
    I appreciate any suggestion.
    Thank you very much!

    Hello Erwin,
    thank you for your fast reply.
    I'll try to switch to 9i/10g.
    In migrating perhaps also I will use the Designer as standalone tool on the client and connecting to iAS on another machine where I could integrate the BPEL Engine.
    That means integrating BPEL in our architecture.

    Hi.
    when you say you have installed weblogic on the same machine several times and it worked, do you mean you have installed wls
    6.1 sp1? Or do you mean you have installed other versions? If you have installed this version before then you might try
    reinstalling with a fresh download of the install binary.
    If you are still having problems then you might want to open a case with support.
    Regards,
    Michael

  • IAS 6.0 installation problem on Windows 2000 Server

    I've been trying to install iAS 6.0 Test Driver Service Pack 3, but it just
    does not seem to be doing anything, installation process shows me a progress
    bar and returns "successful completion" screen, but really doesn't copy
    anything to the specified location. I've tried setting my machine up with
    static IP and DNS suffix, that made no difference at all. Someone suggested
    related entries clean up from registry, don't see any of those entry in
    registry. Don't know what to try next -- very frustrating.
    Any help will highly be appreciated, this kind of urgent.
    Thanks

    Hi Abdul,
    Can you please tell me which webserver you are using with Test-Drive-Sp-III, it
    should be iWS-4.1.
    As you are trying it on a windows m/c, sometimes fixing the DNS-suffix in usual
    way doesn't update the windows registry.
    To make sure that it is added to the windows registry just run regedit and click
    on the :
    My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
    key, you will see the Domain key value set to your domainname, otherwise enter
    the domain name into this key value, and than reboot the m/c, and than reinstall
    the iAS. It should work.
    If you further encounter problems, please mail me back.

  • Problem with SSL and IAS 9.0.4.3.0

    Hi,
    I want to use SSL for my own webservice, but when I enabled SSL for my AS then I can't use my Forms-Applikation.
    I use a new installed Applikation Server Version 9.0.4.3.0 (Forms/Reports) on SLES 9 and the webservice is in a new OC4J-Container.
    Without SSL is everything fine.
    But when I made the changes to use SSL then I can use my Webservice with or without SSL, but I can't start the Test-Form-Mask (test.fmx) from the AS.
    In the Java-Console I see the following:
    oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException: 500

    I think the first 5 messages are not so important, but I don't know what the last 3 messages mean.
    I can't find any mistakes in my configuration. I have tested it with the SUN-Java Plug-In and with the JIinitator, but is the same result.
    Have someone a hint for me or better idea to use SSL with a webservice?
    Thanks in advance.
    Knut

    I configured the HTTP-Server and the OC4J-Containers for Forms and my webservice for SSL.
    But for Forms I don't need SSL, only for the webservices.
    In the meantime I tested SSL with IAS 10.1.2.0.2 and there is the same problem.
    I think the last 3 messages come from Web Cache, because everytime when I try to test whether the Web Cache is working these messages shown in the error log from Apache.
    Sometimes are the following messages in the error log of the Apache:

    But I can not figure out when these messages are written

  • Problem with execution of  a forms in Intranet (IAS oracle Server)

    Hi every body!!!!
    I have a serious problem, that i could not resolve for more than a week, it's awfull!!!
    my problem is that i have compiled certains forms V6 in IAS oracle server with using the command f60gen, when i call certain of my forms from a menu in intranet, they could not be executed, even if every things is compiled correctly!!!
    Just a precision: the forms that i wanted to excute, calls another forms at the end of the trigger "when-New-Form-instance"
    another thing: i have released that only the forms that call other forms, that could not be called from my menu, all other simple forms are accessed correctly!!
    Can some help me please!!!!!!
    thank you so much for your help,
    Reda

    Thank you for your answer, but i will explain much more my problem:
    From my intranet, I have a menu in which a call my forms, and there are two possibilities:
    The first: there is a direct call to a Form in this case it is okay.
    The second case: there is a call to a Form A that will call a Form B.
    in the form A: there are just some initialisations to global variables and at the end there is a call to A form B in the trigger 'when-new-instance'
    I deployed theses forms in two machines, it worked in one machine, but didn't work in the second machine, so i compared the configuration of the two machines but i didn't find any difference!
    Just a precision: I have deployed Forms version 6, because i have upgraded them from the version 3.5 to 6 and the old versions work fine in the two machines.
    Thank you very much for any suggestions
