IBM T43: Restore Backup Data

I created a backup file before restoring my T43 laptop to its factory default settings. After the restore, I ran the backup utility to restore my backup files. Problem is that my files that I backed up is not appearing anywhere.
I selected the option to restore my files to the original place, but the files are there when the backup utility "successfully" restore my backup files.
What can I do to get my files back? I need them.

I grasp that afer doing a system recovery you are having a difficulty restoring your backed up files. Here is a link to Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 7) to assist you with that process.

That usually means that there is something wrong with the backup and it cannot be used. You can try restoring the backup again, but if you continue to get the same message all you can do is restore to a different backup, if you have one.

Cannot restore Backup data on Z2 Android 5.0

Hi everyone,
So I just been upgrading my Xperia Z2. The phone was on Android 4.4.2 when I used the Backup & Restore application to backup my System apps data, and some of my Downloaded apps with data. I had to upgrade to 4.4.4. I think it was a mistake that I didn't make a backup on 4.4.4 as well. Now I've upgraded to 5.0, and all of my apps & settings were kept, but I wanted to start clean, so I did a factory reset.
Now when I'm trying to use the Backup & Restore app again to Restore the backup file I made on 4.4.2, a window pops up saying "Cannot restore, Selected backup records cannot be used due to incompatible software versions. Please select a more recent backup file."
So the backup files are present, everything else works on the Z2...my question would be what should I do now to be able to restore my backups?

The back of my z2 cracked during the winter so 3 weeks ago i sent it to sony so that they could fix my back glass, by the that l had not received lollipop at here in the US it was not yet available. So they asked me to backup my information as they would reset the phone when it got to them. So i tried to backup using PC companion and i failed so i decided to backup on my SD card using the backup and restore application in the applications menu. So this week they sent the phone back to me and it had been a update to lollipop, when i tried to restore my backuped data from my SD card it would not let me with an error message saying there is incompatibility or OS. I call sony to help me about it they could not help me

However I've constantly backed all these up via PC Suite & have the copier files on my system. Problem restoring backup data

Backed up to iCloud just a few minutes ago (it took 30 minutes to complete) so I could wipe my iPod. Wiped it but now it tells me the backup is unusable. I get the same message with the previous two backups it did over the last couple of days. I have successfully logged into iCloud on the computer. I have attempted this a dozen or so times over the last half hour.
Any suggestions? I'm a tad frustrated, thank God this isn't my phone.

I have the exact same issue on my brand new iPhone 5s - allthough the massage i get is Could not log into the server. There is something wrong with the connection.

Its possible to restore backup to Z10 when blackberry ID was recreated ...
(erased and create another one with the same email). I'vo got backup file created via Blackberry Link
but restore personal user data isn't possible, user find old password for blackberry ID in which backup was created.
All data from old phone was copied via outlook sync or directly from device mass storage ... I want to restore data from app "Password Protection" , Is it possible to extract only this data from backup ... or restore original user blackberry id ... to proceding restore data from backup to phone ...

This scenario isn't clear .... backup was made 2 months ago ... blackbery id for example [email protected] ...
user miss his password for id ... cannot restore it and delete original blackberry id ... which was used to crypt backup file ... Mobile phone was erased ... because change BB id isn't possible ... than BB id was created on the same email ... phone was sync with BES server. I can restore backup but data which was directly linked to blackbery id wasnt restore on the phone ... I readed in other source that backup was crypted by key assigned to blackberry id ... i think thats the reason ... But missed data from personal part of backup its very important ... that i think with recovered original id i can restore backup data on the phone ... if it wasn't good way to recover data maybe its another one ...

Your iPhone cannot be restored because there is a problem with your backup data. Choose a different backup to restore from.

I was receiving this error while trying to restore my new iphone 5 from my iphone 4s backup file over the icloud.
I finally figured out the solution after HOURS of working with both ATT and Apple. Both were as helpful as possible and after speaking to an Apple Sr Tech we discovered I received this error because my backup file was corrupt.
His suggestion was an obvious suggestion of deleting this backup file and recreating the backup. So I deleted the backup and began to recreate the backup on my 4s (now I was lucky in that I was upgrading my other line and still had my 4s available to me to play with), during mid backup my backup would stop and have at the bottom of the screen that the backup wasnt complete (and also that "Last Backup: Never") even though I could see backup data was saved. This was the same problem I had initially, not having a complete backup for my iphone 5 to restore from (Your phone will not restore without a complete backup file).
I did some further research and found that because I had the FACEBOOK app on my previous iOS5 and upgraded to iOS6 (iphone 4s) it for wahtever reason would cause the backups to become corrupt or incomplete. So I deleted the FACEBOOK app from my 4s and reset the phone, after I started it back up I deleted the incomplete backup file again for my 4s and then began the backup once again. This time the backup completed perfectly and I was able to now go to my iphone 5 and restore all my apps, etc.

If you forgot your encryption password:
Warning: Make sure it's a password you will remember or write it down for safekeeping. If you encrypt an iPhone backup in iTunes and forget your password, you can't restore from backup and your data will be unrecoverable.
If you can't remember the password and want to start again, you must perform a full software restore and chooseset up as a new device when iTunes prompts you to select the backup from which to restore.

The backups were made, bro. It happens that I did the backups with Snow Leopard, but I had to reformat my iMac and restore it to its factory settings. There is nothing that you can do. If you don't have a more recent backup, you can't magically create a current backup now. You can use the 5 month old backup, or simply start all over again. You can download most of your purchased content again as long as you use the same Apple ID that you used to make the purchases.
