Ibook fan works while charging + heating + wrong time indicator

i ll try to explain the problem, i dunno what to do with it.
Well, something is wrong with fan or battery , i plug adapter to ibook and fan is starting to work , the temperature is normal, shown 49- 51 C. My ibook is 7 month old , and it just started one month ago. So after charging , when it shown , that the battery is charged 100 % , working time indicator shows only 2hours of work , and it works two hours, which is not right, cuz it always worked not less then 4 h. It s not all the time , if i turn off computer or make restart or take away the battery or smth like that , it starts to work normally , and after while the problem repeats. Pls do not suggest me to calibrate battery or smth, i tried everything, if u ll have additional questins- ask , i really want to solve the problem!!! cuz it s annoying to listen to that sound and to realize that something is wrong with it.

Heat is the enemy of computers. What is ambient air temp where you are using the computer? Also, the iBook cools through the bottom of the computer case (it gets warm because it designed that way. Make sure air is circulating around the base (not sitting in your lap or on soft cloth). I owned my iBook for 4 months before I really even realized it had a fan. But, I keep my house cool in the winter. I guess as far as fans go, if the device gets a warm temp condition that needs the fan, let it run. Buy a second battery if you need longer life. You might want to look into one of those aluminum lattop bases that helps to absorb heat from the base of the laptop and dissipate it into the surrounding air.
The battery life indicator will change depending on the power consumption. For example, I am sitting here with a browser open, typeing this. Screen brightness is at 75% and the hard drive is off. It shows 3 hours and 41 minutes. If I were to play a video, this would drop to maybe 2 hours and few minutes. It all depends on what is going on with the machine. Stop the video it wil jump back up. Battery perfomance is also affected by temperature. When the battery is fully charged according to OS X, what does the indicator on the bottom of computer say (hit the button on the battery, how many green leds light). If not all the LEDs light the battery is not full charged and may need replacement.
The fan may becoming on with the power adapter because of your power settings. I have my power settings to maximize CPU and performance when on the power adapter. That is often enough of a difference to cause the fan to come on.
You have reset the PMU and recalibtrated the battery, so I don't think there is much you can do here. Is it just the battery indicator that is indicating only two hours and the battery lasts longer than that or does the battery indeed run out in 2hours. I am not clear.

If you're using generic lightning cable (non-original lighting cable), the fingerprint scan doesn't work while charging.
I just find it weird as my iphone 5s works even if i'm not using the original lightning cable though.

Unless it's confirmed officially that your phone is defective, then you can ask for a replacement. Or you have to live with you. However you can trade it for a new one if you don't care the price drop.

You are still under warranty. Either call iPod tech support - U.S. iPod and Mac technical support: 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) or take the iPod Nano to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you.

Help. Screen won't work while charging directly through a wall socket

I need help. 3 months ago I bought an iPod Touch 5th Generation and was surprised it didn't have an adapter with it. So I've been charging through my pc since. Yesterday I bought a 10W USB Adapter and tried it out. It was charging but the thing is, when I started using the iPod while it was charging, the screen isn't that sensitive anymore. It would click on itself, sometimes it won't even work. I don't know what I should do. I spent a lot on this adapter I don't want it to be a waste. And also, would it be okay if I keep using this adapter, even if it means I can't use my ipod while charging, would it have any effect on my ipod in the long run? thanks so much guys in advance for your replies. Touch Screen stops working while charging

Hi All,
I have just purcahsed a Torch 9810 and have uploaded it with latest OS 7.1. I am facing problems like :
1. The touch screen stops working while the phone is getting charged.
2. The screen gets hanged very frequently. Should we use it very calmly or is it hanging because we use it too fast. For this condition,solution i am left with is a HARD RESET. But till when this will help. Please suggest some work around.
3. When i select Loud profile,for sometime it works and after that it stops working. I try to ring it manually by going to LOUD profile sound settings and pressing the TRY IT option. I do use a cover. Does it makes any difference ? The problem goes when i do a HARD RESET. But why is this happening ? Any Other setting neds to be done ?
Please HELP or Suggest what to do !!!!!

This is probaly a software problem in my opinion this could probably be resolved at the genius bar in any apple store also your phone should be under warranty as it is a iphone 5 and they did not come out not so long ago so in other words go to a apple store and they might have to replace the phone. In my experience this has nothing to do with the cable but a software issue in ios did this issue happen in any earlier version of ios

New P-book: OK to use while charging for first time?

No, this will not do any damage. The thing you should do though is after that first charge is complete, go ahead and drain down to zero percent, so that it will be calibrated.
People who leave the battery charged in all the time while using the computer, do not have the battery go bad because they are using it plugged in. The reason it goes bad in that situation is because they aren't keeping the juices flowing in the battery! They don't take it off the A/C, the chemicals don't keep moving, so that shortens the life. That is why you should use a portable, not connected to A/C at least one or two times per week to at least 70 percent (use 25 to 30 percent of battery) or so.
However, the actual using of the machine while connected to A/c is no problem. Just be sure to regularly use it via battery too, to keep the chemicals moving.

IPhone 4, works while charging, crashes when not

So I have an iPhone4 and it keeps crashing. It is fine while it is charging but as soon as I take it off the charger it crashes. What could it be?
Trying to wait for the new iPhone but this is a huge problem.

The same this has happened to me as of 6-7 weeks ago. I thought it might have been a new app I downloaded within the preceding fortnight but even removing this didn't fix it.
It also tells me at times that there is no battery with the 'plug in screen' coming up, but when I plug it in it can have anything up to 100% battery.
When it crashes, I push the top button, the Apple logo comes up (like the turning on screen) and I can see the previous window that had been displaying at the moment of the crash still imprinted on the screen. The only thing that will ensure smooth running is when it is plugged into a power source and yet I've had the occasional crash that way too.
When not plugged in and it does run there is a constant flicker at the bottom half of the screen.
As far as I can tell it appears to be an issue with the update of ios from 7.1.1 and up. Is there anyway that an Apple rep could confirm or deny it?
Or offer a possible solution to help fix it?

The way the fans work while playing video games

I have MacBook Pro 2011 with 2.3 GHz intel core cpu i5 and 4G 1333 MHz DDR3. Graphics: intel HD graphics 3000 384 MB.
I have downloaded "Batman Arkham Asylum" from appStore. When I try to play it the fans start to work very fast that it is like the lap top is about to fly. I had never seen them work like this till I got this game.
I want to know if this is normal or it will harm the laptop if I paly the game and I should stop playing it.

i just brought new iphone 5 !!!! while charging it heats up...and while using 3g it looses battery very fast after full recharge .
While using 3g battery decreases by 1percent in 2minutes...m using ios 6.0.1............

When using the device or charging the battery, it is normal for it to get warm. The exterior of the device functions as a cooling surface that transfers heat from inside the device to the cooler air outside.

C 3-01, heated while charging

@noki_c3_01: It's normal that the phone gets somewhat hotter while charging. It doesn't mean that it's something wrong with it.
@husnainpku:
It's difficult to know for us how hot it is as I guess it's a matter of opinions. However, if you are afraid it's something wrong with it I suggest you take it to a Nokia care point for an inspection. Make sure you take the battery and charger with you so they are able to test those parts.
It's also normal that the phone gets a bit hotter when using many applications at the same time, web browsing, during calls etc. As long as it just a little increase it shouldn't be a big issue. I guess it allso depends on the general temps at where you are. If it's very hot where you live, the phone will become somewhat hotter.
