IBooks page number status/nav bar at bottom suddenly vanished from an iBook!!

Hi Forum,
I've had no problems using iBooks on my iPad2, until yesterday.
I have a single iBook in which the bottom status bar has gone blank - no page numbers!
I can still move from page to page, but I can no longer press say halfway along to whizz to that point in the book. It's now difficult to move to the further pages.
Strangely this has not happened to any of my other books. How bizarre!
Does anyone have any ideas or advice?

How do I prevent nav links at bottom of site from wrapping? And how do I right justify the links?
I changed something in CSS and now the footer links are wrapping. Previously, the links were at right/bottom of each page. When the browser window was made too narrow to display them, they would disappear along with the righthand side of the page. Now they wrap into multiple lines and expand out of the footer.

After changing the target option to Page in this Application and directly typing 'P69_RETURNPAGE,P69_HELPFORPAGE' into the Set these items field and '&APP_PAGE_ID.,&APP_PAGE_ID.' into the With these values files (without the quote marks in both), the resulting url is:

It goes to page 69 but does not pass the values correctly. P69_RETURNPAGE has the value 2%252C2 and P69_HELPFORPAGE is blank/null.
The flashlight display of the parameter/value pairs shows both values to be & amp;APP_PAGE_ID. (Ignore the space between the & and amp; in this message. In the flashlight values fields all the characters are contiguous.)

New desktop has wrong path for page links in nav bar

I created a new desktop and have the following problem. The image links to portal
pages in the horizontal nav bar in the top have wrong path.
Example.
In the original portal the home page link in the nav bar has a image associated
with it in workshop.
\framework\skin\classic\images\home.gif
The partial url generated for the image looks liek this:
\mywebapp\\framework\skin\classic\images\home.gif.
I created a new desktop everything works fine except for the images. The href's
are created for the links but the image path is wrong.
the url generated is : \mywebapp\appmanager\framework\skin\classic\images\home.gif
The "appmanager" in the path causes the problem.
Is this a bug?

Can i group pages in the nav bar?

I'm wondering if im able to group diferent pages in the navigation bar.

Its easier to create sections which are linked by the main navigation - each with their own sub navigation...

Lock Nav Bar to Bottom

Hey guys I need some help here:
I've created a replica of the Leopard dock that I plan to use as my navigation bar is there any way to lock this to the bottom of the window so that even if you scroll down its there? I Thank you so much!

Let's revisit the general concept at its most elemental:
The website has just one page consisting of the navbar and the iFrame. The iFrame is a container into which all other URL content is "poured".
You want to plan these "poured" content dimensions very carefully. All of the content URLs should be of the same pixel width. iWeb cannot dynamically change the iFrame dimensions once they are set. Otherwise gaps will appear (content narrower than the iFrame) or horizontal scroll bars will appear (content wider than the iFrame). JavaScript could make these dynamic adjustments, but we won't go there in this explication.
There is no problem if the URL content is equal or longer in length than the iFrame... vertical scrolling is a norm.
*Step #1* - +The iFrame set-up in iWeb+
Set -up your iWeb page to the appropriate dimensions - which should be wider than the iFrame itself.
Place text fields (or graphics) near the bottom that will be your navigation links
Above these navigation links create your iFrame via the "HTML Snippet" command and paste this code in it:

For the text/graphics you are using at the bottom of the page as nav links (below the iFrame) - set the hyperlink formatting color, etc.; link to the appropriate URLs for each.
*Step #3* - iWeb
Publish your site.
*Step #4* - +text editor (post-publishing HTML editing)+
Using a text editor, open the appropriate HTML page for your site on iDisk - or in your published folder if you will be using FTP.
Find your navigation links in this HTML code (search for the link name you used) - and add in: target="content". "content" is the name I gave to the iFrame in "Step #1" above - but the name can be any name you wish. Just make sure that the target value in the HTML and the name value in the iFrame are exactly the same.
Example HTML code after adding in target= "content" to existing iWeb code for the "Page2" link:

While trying to open iBooks in mavericks it is showing "Sign in to download from the iBooks Store" dialog box but not showing where to sign in and it is appearing continuously in infinite loop

whenever i try t open iBooks from my newly Updated OS Mavericks it asked me to sign in but there are no textbox or form where i can fill the credentials but it is giving me 3 options cancel, create new apple id and sign in when i click on sign in it reappears and the same thing happens for other two options also, i am not able to login into iBooks, Someone help me....

I'm having exactly the issue, but found that itvdoes not happen all the time.
It seems to be dependent on the network I am logged in.

Using body id= to highlight current page on nav bar

Hi all, using the method of giving the body tag an id to set
the current page on the nav bar, works all very well. however, this
is no good if you are working from a template as it would mean the
<body> being editable on each page (so most of the content
then)....am I right? or am I missing something blindingly obvious
here which will allow me to change the <body>...

ideally, you wouldn't actually link the item on the menu of
the page you are
currently on. This is a usability/accessibility thing. If you
do that, then
you can simply style non-linked items on the menu differently
to highlight
that page.
That said, it's often not a practical solution if you are
using SSIs to load
the menu.
In that case, you could just add the Class to a wrapper DIV,
or to the menu
itself:

<div id="myMenu" class="aboutPage">
<div id="myMenu" class="productsPage">
etc.
OR, alternatively, give each meny item it's own class and
then over-ride
that one particular class style in the HEAD of each

Help with Nav Bar using Action Script 3

I am a flash NOOB to say the least. Trying to teach myself. Thank God for YouTube! LOL! Anyway, I have build a Nav Bar for a site that has a sliding bar on the bottom of it that follows the mouse. The problem with this nav bar is that when you change pages inside the site, the slider resets back to position X/Y = 0 and you really don't know what page you are on for sure without me having to identify each page in the page body itself.
Does anyone know of a way using action script to have the URL of the page sent to flash and in turn use that URL to set the X and Y position of the slider to the appropriate X and Y of the button on the Nav Bar for the page the user is on?
I have heard of using flash.external.ExternalInterface but now for sure how this really works nor if I can assign it to a variable for reference inside the action script.
Any help would be appreciated greatly!!

The Flash Nav Bar is at the top of each page. But yes, when you click a button inside the flash nav bar it takes you away from your current page and loads a new one. I am trying to tell the swf file which page it is on so I can set the X and Y position of the slider.
You will have to excuse me if I am so noob that I loose any of your replies to this as just as Flash is new to me, so is the lingo.

Slideshow & nav bar issues

Using iweb 1.1.2 Is there a way to move the forward/backward button in slideshow? Right now it's on top of my pictures and I'd like it to be below the pics. Also, when I click on one specific page in the nav bar, I'm unable to click on any other page. It's getting stuck. Any ideas as to why? Thanks in advance for your help!

You need to change the # to the page you want to link, should be fine then. Best way is to right click, go to Code Hints | URL browser, find your file.
I dont know anything about sprites, so I'm not the guy to ask. I personally use all projectseven menus, got tired of hair pulling and brain wracking so went the easy route.

My site is www.drscottlittle.com. I am having trouble with my nav bar.
First, on the welcome page, the line that is supposed to be lower, goes right through the nav bar.
Second on the welcome page all links work, but on other pages, only select pages on the nav bar work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think this is Firefox rendering bug, open your page with FF then increase or decrease font size (Command + or Command -) , you'll see everything will render correctly after that.

Your Chiropractic page nav bar is covered by couple objects:
1) the main body text is too high, move it lower.
2) there is a thin text box at the top span from beginning of "About Me" to the right side of the page. There is nothing in this text box, delete it.

PLZ HELP ASAP- pix, publishing, nav bar

I'm part of a youth group and i"m making our site using iweb.
Several questions:
1)do I need a .mac account to publish what ive been working on to to internet...can i just use 'godaddy'?
2)Ive kind of publsihed my one of my pages to my geocities accout and the pix show up as a blue box with a question mark in them
3)there are pages to my site the i dont showing up in the nav bar at the top, (for example a calendar- a made a page in the nav bar called " calendar"- in that page there is Jan as a hyperlink ,feb as a hyper link, etc. I didnt want all those months showing up in the nav bar so i put 12 pages under another site and each month under "calendar" is a link to its corresponding page in the other site) right now i solved this by simply puttting all those pages under a new site on the site organizer on the left, but i dont to have to publish 2 or 3 sites when i put them up. So baisically how do I put a page in a site without in showing up in the nav bar?

You probably broke the structure of the site when uploading. In your space you should have an index.html file plus a folder which has the same name as your site does in iWeb. Use a real ftp program like Fetch.

How to hide application id and page number in url

The url that displays in a live session on the internet displays the application id and the page number.
How can I hide this information from the public user?

It's NOT an APEX problem actually.. It's the server that serves UP apex to your users. Thus, you are having to make changes in the APP SERVERS end of things.. APEX does NOT have ANY CONTROL over ho wits URL is served up...

Dear All
i have Month wise tabular and summary information in one report (using report 6i) ,
report start from January
report first show tabular information having many pages and then its summary, show on single page
then next month say February tabular information having many pages and then its summary show on single and so on
now the problem is that
i want to show separate page number for tabular and summary
mean tabular pages number start from one and continue to last page of the end of report with all months
same summary page number that show after every tabular months start from one and continue to last page of the end of report with all months
what is a best way to do...!

I under stood that you are having two query groups.
One group has the tabular information, second group the summary information.
So keep a summary column in both the groups. CS_tab, CS_sum.
CS_tab : count on a unique column in first group, reset at report level.
CS_sum: count on a unique column in second group, reset at report level.
refer these summary columns appropriately in your layout.

How do I stop automatic loading of the next page as I scroll to the bottom of an internet page that has a number of pages?

When I search with Google, as I scroll to near the bottom of the page, the next page of results automatically loads. I can never get to and use the similar searches, or "Searches related to ***", which are at the bottom of the page, as the next page loads and focuses at the top of that next page. Also, there is a bar with the page number, and a field with a "Jump to" command with a pop down arrow with page numbers, and up and down arrows beside it which go up or down one page if used.
This does not happen with, say, Bing, nor if I use Int Expl (aagh).
I have no autopage type of add-ons, or plugins.. I may have had an add-on at one time. There are a bunch of autopager "strings", or lines, in about:config. How do you remove them, if that is the problem?
How do I stop this from happening? It is extremely annoying.
