ICal stops when clicking on March 2013.

When working in iCal it suddenly stops when I open the month of March 2013. All the other months are not a problem. It only happens with March 2013. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do about it?

  • Bug on Calendar when going to march 2013

When going to March 2013 on the Calendar app (view by month), it crashes...

    hello there
that sounds like a software bug so what you can do is theese 2 things
the first thing u can do is:
go  to the spring board (were your apps are) and double press your home button and hold down on the calander.app and tap on the close button that appears on it. then press the hhome button again to get back to your icons and see if that works... but t=if that dident try the option below.
go to settings.app General > reset > erase all content and settings
and set your ipad back up and that will fix it

  • TS1702 Calendar crashes when going to March 2013! ??

Whenever I try to go to March 2013 my iCal crashes and returns to the app screen. What's up?!

Try removing any all-day events from the calendar for the 1st April 2013 e.g. if you are syncing the calendar from somewhere else (e.g. Outlook on a PC or iCal/Calendar on a Mac) then change it to a timed event instead of all-day (if you don't sync your calendar from anywhere then try going into list view, go to 1st April and change any 'all day' events to times e.g. change Easter Monday to start at something like 4am) - it seems that there is a problem with all day events on that date which is when the clocks change due to daylight saving on the day before.

  • Calendar app crashes when going to march 2013

Does anyone else experience the same problem? I can recreate it on at least two iPads (the original iPad1 [iOS 5.1.1] and the latest Retina iPad [iOS 6.0.1])
While browsing the calendar in month view and going from febraury 2013 or april 2013 to march 2013, crashes the calendar app.
I can browse march 2013 fine while in day view, week view or list view, but not in month view.
No problems on the iPhone, just on the iPad.

An obsertation:  I have what appears to be an all-day event on April 1, that is a note that it is April Fools Day.  However, this note is part of a holidays calendar that I subscribe to on my iPad.  The holiday entries are an actual subscription, not individual entries on the calendar.
I have not had any Calendar crashes with this April 1 entry at all.  As Skydiver said, it might be a DST problem, but it seemed strange that some folks are having crash problems with all day entries on 4/1 and some are not.  Maybe this subscription entry doesn't count as an all day entry??  Dunno.

  • ICal Crashes when clicking "calendar" button to show available calendars

After doing the Lion upgrade I've troupbe with iCal. iCal just opens fine - but when trying to access "calendar" button it shows no reaction at all. In some cases a popout callout appears which is empty (and does not show one single calendar out of my existing 10). If I repeat clicking the button iCal crashes.
    Any help is highly appreciated.

BusyCal is not at the root cause - it has s.th to do with the user account. As described in an other post you can fix it by deleting the prefs of iCal:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/15709996#15709996
When it comes to BusyCal there is only one thing with Lion that might be unexpected. Lion fires off iCal each time iCal receives a Push from Mobile Me. In practice you may add an event to BusyCal and iCal will be started immediately. Same for notification. The only way to get rid of this is to change iCal update interval from push to s.th. different. Unfortunately Apple limited Mobile Me Push to iCal only. Other Apps have no access to..

The music stops recording when I click into another window! How do you fix in Audition CS6?

For all the information about this, you need to read this FAQ. It tells you what to do (easy - just remove the check from Release ASIO Driver in Background), but also what the implications are.

  • Final Cut Pro 7: Audio Stops when clicking outside the program.

Just something that annoyed me and was wondering if their is a way to correct it.  Whenever I am listening to a song within final cut in  a video or in the viewer, it will stop playing if I click out of the program.  For example i might be listening to a song and want to go do a google search or open another program and as soon as i do the audio stops.  It will begin playing once i click back into final cut and everything works fine but its just bothersome.  If anyone knows a way to change this please help me out!
    Thanks
    Josh

well, I think if I remember correctly that might be a normal state, because FCP wants to "take over" completely. My systems are on MacPros with Kona Cards and I/Os setup for 5.1 output. I think I lose audio because the Kona wants only one app controlling it at a time. I'd have to be sitting in front of the box to figure it out. But oddly enough I'm actually home.

  • Playback stops when clicking another screen

Need help in setting up CS4 for playback in the background when accessing other windows. I loved doing this on CS3 while doing other tasks.
I use dv to playback to tape.
    Assistance appreciated.

I question how you did it in CS3. For everyone else, this ability was lost beginning with 2.0.

The Calendar app crashes when I select March 2013. I tried hard restart but app still crashes when March is selected.

Look on april 1st. If you have any all day events, remove them. It's a glitch where all day events on APril 1 mess up March.
Remove the event or edit it to span a few hours and March will reappear

  • My ical works ok except when I open the month of March 2013 it crashes/closes. All other month work, even into the future. How can I fix this?

My ical on ipad 3 works fine except when I open the month of March 2013 it crashes/closes down immediately. All other months work, even into the future. Even Feb and April etc. in 2013. How can I fix?

I understand it's a glitch. If you have any events on april 1 2012 i believe,t hat's an all day app, delete it or make it for just a period of time, not all day.
I think it has something to do with daylight savings time (but don't quote me on that) with the conflict betwen 'all day' and the ipad trying to figure out how long 'all day' is with that whole spring forward and lose an hour. removing any 'all day' appointments seem to remove that conflict.

  • TS4337 iCal shuts down when I try to look at March 2013

Has anyone noticed that when you try to look at March 2013 in iCal, it crashes and iCal shuts down. I rely on my calendar and am worried about what I am going to do about planning March! Or is it just me?

To fix this, delete or edit any all day events that occur on April 1st (by changing them to timed rather than all day events).  See King_Penguin's post here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/20835235?ac_cid=tw123456#20835235.
