My iClouds contacts are OK. But not on my Mac and my iPhone. How do I download the iCloud contacs to my Mac? I'm afraid to lose/ delete the iClouds correct ones.
Any help?
Thank you so much.

Many thanks Csound1 and pvonk for your help.
I manage to clear my iPhone contacts and turned the iCloud and contacts on. That made my iCloud contacts appear on my iPhone. Solved.
What will happen when I change or add some phone or address on my iPhone. iCloud will updated contatcs automatically?
I have OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2
Regards
Yes, iCloud will update contacts on all connected devices.

  • How can i save iCloud contacts on my Mac?

I would like to save a few of my icloud contacts to my computer for off-line access. I do not want to edit or sync them. Is there a way to do this? I used to remember having "On My Mac" as an option on the left side panel. And also there was an "On My Mac" set up as a local account. But I can not find it anymore.
If I export the contacts as an Archive I am unable to open them without the archive replacing all of the contacts and I certainly don't want that to happen.
    Any suggestions anyone?

  • How can I replace my Mac and iCloud contacts with the ones in my iPhone?

I have a new iPhone (iOS 6) and have edited, added, linked and deleted some of my contacts. How can I have THAT list replace all of the other contact lists in the rest of my devices?

If you are using iCloud on iPhone and Mac, that must be already done. If not, you have to setup iCloud on both devices with the same Apple ID.
Before you try anything, download an app like "Contacts kit" or "My Contacts Backup" to your iPhone and make a backup of your list and send it via email to yourself.

  • How do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

I have three device: Macbook Pro (OSX 10.7.5) for work; an iPad and a Blackberry for mobile. I used mail, iCal, and Address Book combine with mobileme (iCloud) to exchange data such as contact, calendar and task from my Mackbook Pro to my iPad but never to Blackberry. The problem is my boss was asking me to change to Outlook 2011 for Mac because some of the email that I sent from Mail did not appear in my client's Blackberry. So how do you sync iCloud (contact, calendar, task) to Outlook 2011 for Mac? and how do you make seemless sync between iCloud to Outlook 2011 to Blackberry device or an iPad?

  • How do I get contacts from iCloud back on my mac?

How I got to this place is too long a story, but I ended up with a system iCloud dialogue box on my macbook pro, and the gist of the questions were Do you want to make it so if I quit iCloud my contacts (Notes, Reminders, etc) will no longer remain on your mac? I didn't want to do this, but it seemed it wasn't letting me proceed without hitting the highlighted agree button, so I did.
I definitely want my contacts back on my Mac. How can I go about getting them from iCloud back onto my mac? I don't intend to quit iCloud, but I have years worth of contacts that I don't want to ever lose.
Notes would be the next most important one to get back onto my mac. Reminders after that. Thanks much in advance for your help.
    Michael

    Hi Michael Gorsline1,
I understand that you turned off iCloud on your Mac and subsequently lost all of your contacts, notes, and reminders. If your information, remains on iCloud.com, you can merge that information back onto your Mac by signing back into iCloud and selecting the services you would like to sync.

  • How can sync Contacts on My Mac with my Icloud Contacts?

Does anyone know how can set up a sync between "Contacts on My Mac" and my "Icloud Contacts"?  I am looking to get a complete copy in both locations.  Is there a way to do it in the OS or any reliable third party software?  Any help is much appreciated... thanks!

Outlook for Mac is not compatible with iCloud. The only people who can fix this are Microsoft, who, so far, refuse to support the industry standard CalDAV and CardDAV protocols iCloud uses in their Mac products.
Microsoft would prefer you use their own proprietary syncing solution - Exchange - to sync with Outlook.
Although Microsoft don't support open sync protocols, Apple do support both open and closed protocols so Macs, iPhones and iPads all support syncing with Microsoft Exchange, as well as with iCloud, Google Sync and others.
If you insist on using Outlook for Mac, you'll have to switch over to a Microsoft Exchange based system to sync with your iOS devices.

  • ICloud Contacts - not on MAC

I'm at my wits end with new MAC.  My contacts from iphone 4S finally appeared on ipad BUT will not appear on MAC.  I don't understand what is not working right.  I DO have 2 Apple ID's.  Can this be a problem?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Quite possibly.
    Please try the following…
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices and you are using the same Apple ID (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.

  • Get iCloud contacts on my mac

Ok im sure there must be a simple solution here. I am trying to sync everything on icloud with outlook mac, contacts/cal/notes etc, but I believe outlook will only sync with what is on my mac. Everything is in icloud and in my mac address book, i have nothing 'on my mac' its all in 'icloud'. Can someone please tell me how I sync with 'icloud' and 'on my mac'?

Calendars can be listed either under 'On My Mac' - these, as you might expect, are stored on your Mac and cannot be synced with iCloud - or under 'iCloud', meaning that they live on the iCloud server and are read from there by your Mac and other devices (it's not really syncing as such, though people use that term as a matter of course).
Outlook can only sync with 'On My Mac' calendars, so you can't sync any one calendar with both it and iCloud.

  • Having problem with iCloud contact on my mac

I'm having problem with my iCloud contact on my mac. My iCloud contact doesn't appear on my Mac.
I already backup my iPhone contacts to my iCloud account today and I also already follow any instruction on iCloud Apple Support. But my problem still exist.
For the information, i'm using the 10.9 OSX and 7.0.2 IOS. I believe there's no problem with my browser. I already try with Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
    Thanks for your kindly attention.

It's very funny, guys. Right after I post this question, my iCloud contacts succesfully appear on my Mac. LOL.

  • ICloud contacts won't open on mac

I can't seem to get my iCloud contacts to open on my mac via the contacts app. The app opens and only shows my gmail account. When I go back and check my iCloud preferences, the contacts tab is checked. If I try to add an account in the app, it lets me go through all of the steps and acts like it is working, but won't actually add the account. I have restarted the program multiple times and I am just stumped! Any suggestions are appreciated.

CANCEL.  A restart did the trick.  Should have tried that first.  Duh.

  • Icloud contacts won't sync on mac after 10.8.2 update

I have a Mac Mini 2011.  I just downloaded 10.8.2 last night.  This morning, I am trying to sync icloud contacts and they won't sync.  I select the "contacts" checkbox in the icloud settings.  Exit out.  Go into contacts, and I only have the group "on my mac".  When I go back into icloud to see if Contacts is checked, right as I open icloud, I see the Contacts checkmark disappear.
    Any ideas how to fix?

PFDuke it looks like you maybe guessing that you have Exit Code 15 based off the fact that the installer did not launch.  I would recommend reviewing your installation logs to determine the exact error.  You can find details on how to accomplish this at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • ICloud Contacts on mac not syncing to iCloud

    Hello,
I have an issue syncing all my icloud contacts. When I open the "Contacts" app on my mac and click on the filter "All iCloud", it displays numerous contacts. But then when i go and look on icloud.com, it displays only half of them. I first though it just needed some time to sync all of my contacts on the cloud, but after a day, the issue is obviously something else.
On my iPhone, half of the contacts are missing too.
It is not an icloud storage space problem (i have 4.5gb free on 5gb). Contacts synchronisation in iCloud have indeed been activated (on my mac and on my iphone). And the contacts that are missing are contradictorily indeed present in the Contacts mac app and as icloud contacts.
To explain the issue a bit further, it all started when i gave my old iphone to a friend and forgot to unconnect my icloud account on it. She then deleted all of my contacts, calendars and reminders which caused them to be deleted from all of my devices. After asking her to disconnect my account and to sign hers in, i went into my time machine to fetch my previous contacts and calendars. My icloud calendars and reminders are now synched and back in order. But for my icloud contacts, only half of them synched.
    Thank you for your help,
    Pierrick Allan

I have a Google account linked to my contacts too. But there is no contacts attached to my google account. I do not have any contact on my mac either.
Here's a screenshot that shows the problem well. Notice the contact "Edwin Allan": he's listed in my "all icloud" contacts nevertheless he is not on icloud.com, neither on my iphone.

  • Contacts 'is not member of' All iCloud or On my Mac

Can someone, please, explain the meaning of ‘is not member of’  in Contacts when applied to ‘iCloud’ or ’On My Mac’ ?
As an example, I got the following results on some list of contacts.
clicking on ‘All contacts’ reveals a list of 254 contacts
clicking on ‘All iCloud’    reveals a list of 254 contacts
clicking on ‘On my Mac’ reveals a list op 241 contacts
so I created the following smart groups:
‘is in iCloud’           for all cards satisfying ‘is member of ’ ‘iCloud’
‘is on HD’            for all cards satisfying ‘is member of’ ‘On My Mac’
clicking on ‘is in iCloud’           reveals a list of 245 contacts
clicking on ‘is on HD’             reveals a list of 241 contacts
So far so good. However, I also created the following 4 smart groups:
‘is not in All iCloud’           for all cards satisfying ‘is not member of ’ ‘iCloud’
‘is not in iCloud’                         for all cards satisfying ‘is not member of ’ ‘is in iCloud’
‘is not in On My Mac’ for all cards satisfying ‘is not member of’ ‘On My Mac’
‘is not on my HD’          for all cards satisfying ‘is not member of’ ‘On My Mac’
    and
clicking on ‘is not in All iCloud’           revealed a list of 241 contacts (I expected 0)
clicking on ‘is not in iCloud’                 revealed a list of     0 contacts (as expected)
clicking on ‘is not in On My Mac’ revealed a list of 254 contacts (I expected 254-241=13)
clicking on ‘is not on my HD’           revealed a list of     0 contacts (I expected 254-241=13)
finally, the smart group of card ‘is not member of’ ‘is not in All iCloud’ captained no cards.
I am puzzelled. Is this an error? It does not seem to comely with Apple’s own ‘OS X Human Interface Guidelines’.
Nevertheless I would be vere pleased with a good explanation of the ‘is not ember of’ and, prefferably, some way to reveal the cards of ‘All Cloud’ but not ‘On my Mac’  (iCloud is my default account and I want to have a copy off all cards on my Mac)

  • Are my Address Book contacts in iCloud or On My Mac?

Is there some reason why, since iCloud, we have to have duplicates of every Contact in our Address Book?
Additionally, when I'm cleaning up my Address Book on my MacBook Pro (10.7.3) there's no way to tell if a contact is in "On My Mac" or "iCloud".
I have seen no clear discussion of this. If I change an entry for "John Q Smith" in my Address Book, why doesn't it "Unify" as they do on my iPhone? I end up with two different Address Book entries, one in either iCloud or "On My Mac" with the changes and another without the changes.
There is no field on an "Address Book" contact indicating its source ["On My Mac", or "iCloud"].
Why do I need two entries for every entry in my Address Book? This issue has been correctly identified and treated on the iPhone — I get a "Unified" classification and a change to the Contact happens synchronously.

I am already configured for, and using iCloud as my default account.
If I select "All Contacts", I have duplicates of every entry in my Address Book.
When I select the corresponding option on my iPhone, I get "Unified Contacts" — this is GOOD and SMART — when I change a 'Unified' contact on my iPhone, all the entries are synchronously changed. This is how Mac OS X 10.7.3's Address Book should be treating these entries. Is there not an option somewhere to activiate this same feature?
IF I REMOVE "ON MY MAC" FROM MY ADDRESS BOOK ACCOUNTS, I WILL BE UNABLE TO SYNCHORONISE MY ADDRESS BOOK WITH ANY OTHER SERVICE SUCH AS GOOGLE OR YAHOO. This is highly undesireable. As lovely and singular as is Apple and it's products, there are other services in the world with which I must coordinate and this is beyond my control.
It looks like, from the responses above, that I will be editing every duplicate Address Book contact for the foreseeable future if I want to have non-Apple sync-able contact database as well as be on iCloud, which I do love.
