ICP Entity Member not to be eliminated

I am facing an issue regarding ICP elimination in HFM.
We need to capture ICP details for certain entities that are not part of the entity roll up. However, the balances reported as ICP with these entities should NOT be eliminated in the consolidation process.
We could create them as "dummy" members of the entity dimension (so they become part of the ICP members) but then they would automatically be eliminated as any other ICP transaction, which we do not want.
Is there any std feature for this purpose? Maybe a rule to prevent elimination on these "dummy" entities would do. Any ideas?

I think you can get accomplish this using rules. The elimination occurs after a statement similar to the one below is evaluated:
If (StrComp(strICP, "ICP None", vbTextCompare) = 0) Then
CanEliminate = FALSE
I would think that if your entities have a specific prefix or suffix that clearly distinguish them from all of the other IC entities, you could evaluate on that prefix/suffix and set the CanEliminate =FALSE for those entities just as it does for the ICP None Entity.
You will have to test this, for I have never encounter this situation before...

In Entity dimension where ever you tagged it as "is ICP", system automatically generated ICP Members.
1. ICP Top Memeber- Means When you enabled the "IS ICP" attribute in Entity dimension that entity members will go under ICP Entities, So the thing is If you not enabled the any entity as "IS ICP", there should be a hierarchy with
[ICP Top Member] (Parent)
[ICP Entities] (Child)
[ICP None] (Child)
--> In your case ICP Top member means not exactly the Parent member
2. Security Classes for ICP members- In this case while building the Entity dimension you can define the "IS ICP" attribute for particular entity or entities, To which entities you enabled the IS ICP attribute that member can consider the ICP Entity, in entity dimension you can give the security class for those you selected as "IS ICP" entity member. Here two things will get complete 1 is IS ICP member, 2 security class for ICP member.

For above question the answer is - In Account Dimension for particular account member you can give any ICP Entity member as ICP Top Member, means for that particular account member you can enter the data with selecting the ICP Top member (which you mentioned as ICP Top Member in Account Dimension) in ICP Dimension, If you select the other member from ICP dimension ( [ICP None] ) you may get invalid intersection of POV. which Entities you selected as "IS ICP" attribute that entity member will consider as ICP entity member, so in account dimension you can give that particular ICP Entity member other wise you can give the top member means Parent member.if you selected more entities as ICP members those entities will go under ( [ICP Entities] Parent member), so here the top member for ICP Entity members is [ICP Entities], so you can mention this member as ICP Top Member in Account Dimension.

ICP entity list

the members for ICP is dynamically created by HFM when the entities are flagged as ICP.
is it possible to define a ICP member manually and not having the same in entity list? i
my compnay has to send data extract to my parent comapny. both the companeis run separte instance of hfm. my compnay does not have parent company defined in the entity dimension. however there will be transcations with the parent and when we send data extract only the parent company name needs to appear in the ICP dimension membe data. is it better to create entity for my parent within our HFM and let HFM automatically create ICP member or create ICP member manually without creating a entity member?

It wil be interesting to create technical entity (with a specific security class like TECH_ONLYICP) to generate ICP.

In this case, you can (in your rules file) put consolidation method to [None] or NOTCONSO to private the IC Elim.

Not sure I can help with that. I might debug this code and see what data resides in the first query for conntionRecord1Id.
Are you trying to get a list of opportunityId's? If so you might need to do a foreach loop on the results of conntionRecord1Id.
Something like...
foreach(var recordid in conntionRecord1Id)
(do something to the record...)

BPC NW 7.0: Data Load: rejected entries for ENTITY member

Hi,
when trying to load data from a BW info provider into BPC (using UJD_TEST_PACKAGE & process chain scheduling), a number of records is being rejected due to missing member entries for the ENTITY dimension in the application.
However, the ENTITY member actually do exist in the application. Also, the dimension is processed with no errors. The dimension member are also visible usnig the Excel Client naviagtion pane for selecting members.
The error also appears when kicking of the data load from the Excel Client for BPC. Any ideas how to analyze this further or resolve this?

this question is closely related to the issue, because there is also a short dump when trying to load the data into BPC. I am not sure whether both problems are directly related though:

No more storage space available for extending an internal table.

When I looked at NOTES, I found this Note 928044 - BI lock server". Looking at the note and debugging UJD_TEST_PACKAGE leaves me some questions:
1. Do I need a BI lock server?
2. Should I change the enque/table_size setting be increased on the central instance from 10000 to 25000 or larger?

Outlook Sync Problem: Member Not Fo

Anyone experience any problems when trying to synch Outlook 2003 with their ZM? I start the process, select Contacts, Tasks, and Calendar. After selecting the Contacts Folder for synch on the next page, I get a message from Outlook stating that another program is attempting to access. I "allow" the access, and then a sync appears to start. After hitting about 55% on Contacts, I get a message that states MEMBER NOT FOUND, and then the sync fails. Anyone have this problem? Could it be because I'm running in Cached Exchange Mode on my Outlook client?

Hi, while extending EO, we are getting error "oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002: Definition oracle.apps.icx.por.schema.server.XXTBPoRequisitionLineEO of type Entity Definition not found". We have placed class and xml files in respective folder, imported customization and bounced the system but still error did not go. Kindly help to trace the issue.

Can you elaborate how you deployed your custom code, were steps documented here followed ? Did you create a ADF library jar and copy it over to the application lib directory ? Please provide the exact steps done for deployment.

MSA copying activity: flag 'main team member' not set automatically

Hello forum,
when I copy an activity in msa,
the responisble persons are copied too, but saving is not possible:
error: flag main team member not set
So i have to set this flag manually.
Why does the system not copy this flag too ?
Where can I change this bad behaviour ?

did you already check the following:
1) activities created in CRM have this main flag set properly for exactly one responsible employee defined for this function
2) customizing is synchronized properly to CDB/Mobile:
CRM_DNL_PAR_FCT
CRM_DNL_PAR_PDD
CRM_DNL_PAR_PDP
CRM_DNL_PAR_UIS
3) activities downloaded to mobile have this main flag set properly for exactly one responsible employee defined for this function
4) it is possible to create the same activities in mobile as in CRM using the same functions (e.g. the customizing is proper on mobile)
For my understanding I would rather suggest to change/correct the data in CRM instead of modifying the copy functionality for mobile.

Ejb3 entity bean not generating valid sql for postgres 8.1

I originally posted this on the jboss seam board as I ran across this error on a seam test example, but it seems it's more generally applicable to ejb3 entity beans not generating sql that postgres can understand. I'll post my message below, all replies are appreciated.
I'm going through the hello world example from the seam book, and I'm getting an error I cannot resolve, that with an auto generated sql statement, that's not valid for postgres 8.1, the database I'm on. Here's my error:

I think you should try putting the sequence generator annotation over the primary key field. Try it and be sure it works.

I am new to CRM WEBClient IC.
I have created a Zfield using AET tool and added in Interaction center Identify Account screen but
I am gettting a NOT BOUND for that Zfield .
I had my Zfields in BuildHeader entity in ROOT OBJECT model.
Now Why the BuilHeader entity is not bound ?
Could anyone help me track the reason and how to solve this error?

Outlook synchronisation error "Member not fou

I am trying to synchronise a MS Outlook 2000 (Not Express) calendar with my brand new Zen Micro.
I have managed to synchronise Contacts and Tasks, and I initially had problems with
the Calendar due to conflicts within my Outlook calendar. These have been resolved,
so at least this proves the Creative software is able to connect to the Outlook Calendar.
I am running Windows and Office 2000, with a Zen Micro.
I can not find this error message in the Knowledge Base, and the support team have spent four weeks pushing me through the standard resets/upgrades etc etc, all to no avail.
The message I get is "Member Not Found" in a message box titled "CTSync" whenever I kick of the actual synchronisation. Pretty obscure from an end user point of view....has anyone any ideas what-so-ever.... I am getting desperate!

Installation of the hardware and the software o.k. so far. No Interruptconflict.
I have connect my Fieldbusdevice to my system. When I Expand All with the NI-FBUS Dialog Utility 3.1 I get the following Error:

Does your system have any existing FF interface module before you connect to AT-FBUS?
If so, there might be some conflicts between AT-FBUS and the interface module. In that case, please close NI-FBUS Communications Manager, and run the Interface Configuration Uitility, check the settings of your interface port, specially check the Device Address (Fixed) and Device Type; the suggested values could be "0x1A" and "Basic Device". Then click "OK" and close the Interface Configuration Utility, and try to connect to your system and run NI-FBUS Communications Manager again, see whether it helps.

Hi Benarji,
Usually this is due to the URL being incorrect. Does this happen on any other entities (for example an account), or any other Service Ticket records?
How are you opening the form? Is it from a view or are you opening it from somewhere else?
You can check the URL of the record (if you're unable to see it already), by clicking Ctrl + N to open the record in a new window where you can access the URL.
If this contains '/Main.aspx' instead of '/main.aspx' (Uppercase instead of Lowercase) then the ribbon will fail to load.
Let me know if this is the problem, otherwise post the URL here so I can check it.

ListUpcomingConferences - The entity is not authorized to make the request.

I am trying to listUpcomming conferences with Oracle RTC Integration Services. Authentication process executes succesfully but at the time of listing upComing conferences statusCode *1032* is returned which denotes an entity is not authorized to make the request. I have assigned this resources the maxium rights using rtcctl utlity. Inspite of having maximum rights I am not able to list UpComing Conferences.
Can anybody please help me to find out the issue? Quick response would be appreciated.

Click on the user admin under user and groups , go to the tab Passwords. Give the password for the admin user and save it. Restart the server and try to login.
