ICPO PR adding lead time in supplying plant

Hello Experts,
I have a situation where Plant A (Purchasing Plant) is placing order for a material to Plant B (Supplying Plant) through ICPO (InterCompany Purchase Order).
The requirement for the material is put through PIR (Planned Independent Requirement) in plant A. The Planned delivery time in the material master in plant A is considered for calculating PR Release date after MRP.
This PR drives a Planned Order in plant B which calculates Order Start date through Lead Time Scheduling considering the PR release date from plant A as the Order finish date in plant B.
The issue with this is the material is ready in plant B much before it is required in plant A.
Example: -
Planned Delivery Time in Matl Master in Plant A - 60 days
Requirement date (thru PIR) in Plant A - 30/06/2014
After MRP, PR for the material is created in plant A with Rel Date 01/05/2014
In Plant B - Planned Order Finish date - 28/04/2014 (whereas i need the material in plant A on 30/06/14)
Planned order start date - 25/04/14
Thanks in Advance,
Deodatta

Hi,
thank you very much for your reply .here i have small clarification required the 1st part po date there is no prob. 2nd part h PR release date how to calculate.
functional is calculating like this.
1st step: entering in date perioed in release date (1st aug -20aug)in ytable to getting the all PRS.
2nd step: these prs from ytable enteing eban table some restriction like plant , deletion indicator  etc here getting prs, podate po etc
3rd step: again all prs takking from eban table  they are entering in ytable :here all pr date are getting
lead time = PO date from 2nd step- pR date 3rd step.
can you suggest  me how to do 3rd step in bw reporting level or modelling level

  • Different Lead times for supplier in MRP calculation

    Dear All,
We have different suppliers for a material. Different suppliers have different lead times and Min.lot size. Our requirement is when we run MRP system should suggest Pld.Order quantity for the supplier and also take lead time accordingly. I have done splits for suppliers by using Quata arrangement but system is only taking planned delivery time from material master record.
I also defined info records for the vendor and define lead time but still system is taking Pld delivery time from materials master.
    Please help

    Hi,
Go to OPPQ, enter your plant then click on External Procurement, there tick the check box Scheduling: Info Rec / Agreement.
This will ensure that the PDT is read from info-record if it exists.
    Hope it clarifies.

  • Mass change - Lead Time

    Hello,
Do we have a standard transaction for mass change of lead time for material-plant level for all materials in a plant. This should also consider lead time for DC.

In MASS,  use Total RL time = MARC-WZEIT for updating total replenishment lead time and just update materials which are for external vendors.
Use GR Proc. Time = MARC-WEBAZ for updating Gr proc. time field records and you can give range of materials for which records needs to be updated or created.

  • Supplier Processing Lead Time with ASCP Unconstrained Plan

    Hi All,
Is it possible for unconstrained plan to consider supplier lead time constrained which we define in ASL?
I have defined an Unconstrained Plan & the plan is not considering Item Level , ASL Lead times & generating the planned Orders to meet demand due dates by compressing the Lead time.
Constraint option is not checked in plan options.
Appreciate your advise on this issue.
    Regards,
    Pranay Saxena

    Hi Pranay,
An unconstrained plan cannot have ANY constraint.
So it is not possible to have just the supplier lead time as constrained.
Alternatively, if that is what is your requirement, you may run a constrained EDD plan with just the material constraints enabled and the "Enforce Purchasing Lead Time" Flag checked.
If the supplier capacity is NOT set.. it will be treated like infinite..
This way you will force the engine to respect the lead times from ASL and acheive a near unconstrained plan.
Another alternative is use constrained plan as explained above and set the profile MSO: Lead Time Control to Do not Violate Minimum processing LT... in this case even the processing LTs for the MAKE items are also respected.
    Hope that helps.

  • Can I get supplier actual lead time in system?

can I get supplier actual lead time in system?

suppose if oyu have created PO and as per your inforecord lead tine 15days but you really want the actula time based on the vendor promice
either you have to activate the ASN functionality or order acknowledge function
to do that when you create PO go to confirmation tab and select the order ack and/or shipping notification and make conf reqd filed checked that means prior to GR you need confirmation from vendor about the date, and qty atleast
you can receive the confirmation via EDI also but in this case you and vendor both should EDI funcitonality
once oyu receive the confirmation then you have to createin the system using VL31N tcode then it will be populated in your PO.

  • Intercompany STO lead time

    Hi Guys,
We have an issue - i.e. when we create STO manually in ECC 6.0 it always add extra one day to the good issue lead time. I have checked and we have no plan delivery date on the material master, 'pick & load' at the shipping point is standard 1 hr, no lead time on the route. Also as this is intercompany STO so we do not use PIR.
Any ideas where can this one day extra lead time comes from?
      Thank you.

Thanks girang. I have checked the Shipping point configuration and it is standard 1 hr for 'pick & load'. The funny thing was we tried creating STO from the same supplying plant to existing plants in SAP and they worked fine; but this problem occured when we created STO to the newly added plants into SAP. Can't figure out what is the problem...

  • Reg: lot size and replenishment lead time

    1. please explain about lot size and replenishment lead time.
    2. please also explain about consumption based planing and in steps explain how to perform manual and automatic reorder point(transc code please)

You use the lot-sizing procedure to determine how the system is to calculate the reorder quantity in the planning run.
A lot size defining the lot-sizing procedure is assigned to every material master record applicable to materials planning.
The lot size is defined in Customizing by the combination of the lot-sizing procedure and the lot-sizing indicator.
Three procedures for lot sizing are available:
    o  static lot-sizing procedures
    o  period lot-sizing procedures
    o  optimizing lot-sizing procedures
You use the lot-size indicator to define the procedure.
The following parameters are also available for controlling the lot-sizing procedure:
    o  Short-term and long-term lot size
You can split the lot-sizing procedure into a short-term and a long-term period. This means that you can select one lot-sizing procedure in the near future and a different one in the distant future.
You define the periods in the section of the screen entitled "End of the short-term period/start of the long-term period".
The valid from date of the long-term lot size area is defined via:
       -  a periodicity
       -  a number of periods
The beginning of the long-term period is calculated by taking today's date and adding the number of periods in the future; the long-term planning period then starts on the next complete period.
       Note
For materials that are planned using the short and long-term lot size,
it is recommended that you define a maximum MRP period. Defining the
MRP period has the effect that materials after a certain period are
included in planning even if no changes relevant to the planning run
have occurred. This avoids a situation where order proposals created
with the long-term lot size move into the short-term period because no
changes relevant to MRP have occurred for the material.
You define the maximum MRP period in the step, "Define maximum MRP
period". A material that is planned on a regular basis should also be
provided with an MRP type that contains the indicator for regular MRP.
    o  Scheduling indicator
For period lot sizes, you can use the indicator for scheduling to
       determine whether the availability date;
o  is to be set to the first requirements date in the period
o  or is to be set to the beginning of the period
o  is to be set to the end of the period
o  or whether the period start represents the beginning of the planned
order and the period end represents the availability date (repetitive
    manufacturing)
      Interpretation of the delivery times
For the lot-sizing procedure, you can also define whether the period
start is to be interpreted as the delivery date or as the availability
date using the indicator, "interpretation of the calendar times".
      NOTE
The indicators, Scheduling and Interpr.deliv.times are mutually
      exclusive.
      Indicator for the splitting quota
For the quota arrangements, you can determine whether the requirements
quantities are to be distributed to several items, that is, whether
they are to be split. With the splitting quota arrangement,
requirement quantities are not simply allocated to the smallest quota
rating. Instead, they are distributed among various sources using the
      following formula:
Quantity for source of supply X = Quota of source X * reqmts quantity
    Sum of all quotas
      Overlapping indicator
The overlapping indicator along with the cycle time in the material
master record are used to split the planned orders into several
partial quantities whereby the in-house production time overlaps by
      the cycle time.
      Lot-sizing procedure for make-to-order production
In make-to-order production, you can use the indicator, Lot size for
      make-to-order production to determine whether,
the order quantity is to be calculated using the exact lot size
the order quantity is to be calculated using the exact lot size and
the system is also to take the rounding quantity or the minimum and
      maximum lot size into account
the order quantity is to be calculated using the lot-sizing procedure
      defined for the short-term area
      Maximum stock level variant
The system only displays the Maximum stock level variant field in the
lot-sizing procedure, Replenishing to maximum stock level. The
indicator only has an effect in connection with reorder point planning
taking external requirements into account and in connection with
material requirements planning and controls how the system calculates
      lot sizes.

  • Product Specific Transportation lead time

We need to maintain different sourcing lead times for different products in the "Transport duration" field of the "Means of Transport" of the transportation lane. The transportation lane exists between the Supplier and the DC. A single vendor would supply different products which may have different lead times.
Could anyone kindly give us pointers as to how this could done in the TL ?
    Best Regards,
    Mukundan

    Hi
as well as Sanjog's answer another option is to keep just one TL MOT record and instead use the Goods Issuing time on the product Location record to account for the different leadtimes of product from a supplier. This time is added to the transportation time on the TL. It is the "GI Processing Time" field on the GR/GI tab.
Which method you use depends on the amount of different leadtimes you have from a supplier (a few and I would use Sanjog's method, more and I would use the GI time). The GI time can also be integrated in with the transportation planning of deliveries in the ERP system as well to give better visibility of milestones in the delivery tracking. (e.g. you have a planning point when the goods should be ready to ship as well as when they are due).

  • Lead Time for Procurement Materials

    Hi Gurus,
Can you elaborate on hierarchy for procurement lead time materials. If there is lead time given in Material Master as well as Info record and Source List. Then which lead time will be considered by the system for procurement?
Also clarify what is the significance of Source list for Material Master?
    Regards,
    Pradeep

    Hi
System takes more priority for lead time mainatained in Info record ahead of material master's planned delivery time. Along with planned delivery time, purchase processing time maintained in OMEW and GR processing time in Material master.
Source list defines the vendor/list of vendor who supply material for a plant in the given validity period. A vendor can be fixed or blocked. FIxed vendor makes MRP to create source assigned PO. later it can be made as PO automatically.Scheduling agreement with sourcelist and MRP relevency indicator 2 can give automatic schedule line.

  • Lead time from catalog does not consider factory calender

    Hi,
we are working with SRM 2.0 classic scenario. I have following problem:
We take over lead time from a supplier catalog via OCI in EBP. This works but the lead time does not consider holidays and weekends. How can I activate the Factory Calender?

    Hello,
I just sniff arround and found out that EBP 3.0  does not support factory calendar.
You should use BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI or BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER and call within this BADI the function modules requesting the factory calendar data via RFC on the backend.

    Hi Experts,

Though I am transferring master data 1st time to the plants, how can i extend product to the supplying plant first.

    Hi Bala.
Are you using special procurement key for Production in Another Plant? If yes, perhaps you can try to send first the material at production plant and only then send it at planning plant to APO. I've never had this issue, so this is just an idea/educated guess.
Also, what support packages are you on?
