I need some tips about how Ide to use and plugins.
Someone can help me ?

You can use any favorite IDE for creating Xlet. First of all you have to find stub MHP libs that have MHP-DVB declarations of classes and functions (jmf.jar, javatv.jar, mhp_stubs.jar). I do not know where to find them. If you say your email then I will send it to you. Just try out google first.
Then you have to force your java compilator to ganerate bite-code compatible with Java 1.1 I pass the parameter: javac -target 1.1 (I guess your IDE has some edit box to enter such kind of paramerers for compilator) I think that's all. And then download a STB emulator to test your Xlet on PC.

If you're developing JSPs and Servlets....
I've found that using Eclipse (which is free) coupled with the MyEclipse plug-in (an advanced J2EE specific plug-in which costs $29.99USD/year) was the best for me. I've tried several free J2EE Eclipse plug-ins, didn't like them. Wasn't a big fan of NetBeans either, but I liked it tons better than the other Eclipse plug-ins.
Therefore, IMHO for free I'd go with NetBeans, for a small fee I'd go with Eclipse/MyEclipse plug-in.
If you are new to J2EE but not to Java, you may want to consider going straight to JSF and Sun's Java Studio Creator. This is not free, but the fee is one-time and development is (mostly) visual using Java Studio Creator.

Adobe Muse is not a CMS, but you can publish adobe Muse site on Business catalyst, and Business catalyst is a CMS. You can integrate BC CMS features on your Muse site.

Ideas for developing new Mini project

we want to develop our programming skill by doing some mini project in Java technology.
A group of 3 members want to involve in this project with IDE as JDeveloper. So anyone can suggest a mini project with some 10 days duration. We are strong in Swing-EJB. We also intersted to work in JSP,Java script. Also ready to learn new technology..
So whichever applicable suggest us or give some ideas for the project to improve our skills.

Hi,
I am prepearing a recommendation for our company's standard Java development
environment. I would appriciate any comment you guys might have on the best
IDE that supports J2EE and EJB and Servlet development that integrates with
WebLogic. I guess the best are Visual Age or Visual Cafe, anybody have any
experince/comment on any of those ?

Best IDE for developing Applets,Servlets,JSP

Hi,
I'm looking for a little bit of advise. I have been developing prototypes using Apache Tomcat. Now I need to go into a full development phase, and I need an IDE to help speedup my work, especially when it comes to debugging applets and servlets. So the following are my questions:
1. What is the best IDE to use in conjunction with Apache Tomcat? Does JBuilder, for example, fit this bill?
2. Outside of Apache, I believe there is for example IBM's Websphere, which includes an IDE and a Servlet/JSP container. Which is the best of these packages?

Hi Krishna,
The iPlanet Web Server includes a Java container, and expected Java applications to be deployed as packaged war files.
You should be able to use any standard IDE that allows you to create war archives for your application. Something like Netbeans for example.

Need Ideas on developing trading sofware

I am new to Java. I have been reading a few books on the subject and ready to develop a trading sofware that will allow me to apply specific rules to give me buy and sell on futures commodities markets.
Now what I need to do is to calculate market swings and patterns based on the specific market prices. These prices are included in a CSV file and include Opening High Low and Closing prices for 20 years.
So for each commodity I will access the file through i\o API. Now I am a bit confused about what to do next and need help.
In my rule that I will have to apply I will need to refer to different data (the close 2 days back for example). I will also have to calculate and keep variables on a historical daily basis .
What should I do ? Put the CSV file into an array and manipulate the array or should I use a database ??

Any1 having idea of developing application tat involve bluetooth?

i currently want to develop a server that will act as content provider, user who holding a bluetooth eneabled devices, can request contents/services from my server. eg: My server contain latest promotion of a supermarket. User that having a bluetooth enabled handheld device come within my server range, can request the latest promotion detail.
but after few day of research...i still unable to figure out how i can do this...
at the server side, i wish to add serveral service for client to view. below are some question i want to clarify
1. i saw some sample code, they actually go and specified the UUID at the server site. with the value of...

. Do we really need to set the UUID? and.....what the value string mean...
2. How i can add my service into the list? i try to do this

5. do i have to develop a specified client application in order to communicate with the server? or i can use default bluetooth service to find service at server, and using the service straight away?

The intention of Bluetooth support in LabVIEW is really limited to data exchange as it is the most relevant application to test and measurement. Thus, there is no native Bluetooth audio support built into LabVIEW. It is important to note that not all Bluetooth audio protocols are even supported on the PC, so first make sure that your headset is compatible with other applications (or if it ships with its own PC integration tools). If that is the case, then your best bet would be to implement those 3rd-party applications in LabVIEW either through ActiveX or DLL calls.
