IdeaCenter B310 Lüfter

Hi,
meine Freundin hat momentan probleme mit ihrem IdeaCenter B310, ich habe den Kasten erstmal aufgemacht und bemerkt das der Lüfter anscheinend einen Lagerschaden hat, habe ihn gereinigt, die Geräuschkulisse wurde jedoch nur minimal besser, das Kasten macht immer noch föhnähnliche Geräusche selbst im Desktopbetrieb.
Ich habe mich schon einmal auf diversen Ersatzteilseiten informiert und ca 30 Euro für den selben popeligen Ersatzlüfter mit minderwertigem Lager sind mir ehrlichgesagt zu viel.
Hat schon jemand erfahrungen mit Modding des Lüfters oder eventuell sogar kompatible Modelle von anderen herstellern, welche leiser sind, bei der Lüfterkonstruktion und dem engen Gehäuse kann ichvermutlich kein silent erwarten, jedoch wäre eine Verbesserung zumindest im Desktop betrieb wünschenswert.

IdeaCenter B310 Fan Problems

Hi,
my girlfriend got a IdeaCenter B310. The fan is realy noisey, i tested the system withprime95, cleaned the fan and the radiator but it didnt get more silent. Its not only a Problem in Games or under higher CPU or GPU load, in Windows IDL or Desktop its the same, my girlfriend said it was more silent when she got it about 2 years ago. So anny sugestions what to do ? Replacing the actually Fan with anoriginalreplacement for about 30€ here in Germany seems a waste of money, so anyone got experiences replacing the fan with a comatible more silent one or replacing only the fan himself in the original casing to get the Ideacenter nearly silent.

To answer my own question: Turns out one of the female temp sensor connectors came off the logic board. I don't know how. The only fix would be to replace the logic board but this machine is now out of warranty and the fix would be $1000.
My solution was to take the open source program smcFanControl and modify the code so that it sets min. and max. speeds in the smc according to CPU temperature. The background is that this is what OS X usually does, except it goes into failsafe mode when one temperature sensor has failed, as in my case. There are many temperature sensors in the MacBook Pro - iStatPro shows 8 working temperature sensors in mine. However, if just one fails, the system turns up fan speeds to 6000.
I am now just going by the one temperature that smcFanControl uses, and tuned the fan speeds so they are always on the safe side, e.g. higher than the original software would set them for any given temperature. As a result, my MacBook Pro is cooler than ever. I am thinking about releasing an updated version of smcFanControl with dynamic settings.

Ideacenter a520 100% disk usage win 8.1

I have a few Ideacenter a520 and all of them have the same issue 100% disk usage and its killing productivity. Searching around it seems this is a common issue with Lenovo but I have tried many of the fixes listed but cant get it to change.
-Restored to factory defaults with built in lenovo recovery - No change
-Stopped Services for Expresscach / uninstalled anything to do with it - No change
-Removed every Lenovo bloatware I could find - No change
-SMART test and all HDD tests pass the HDD fine.
-Tried to resintall with a fresh windows 8 disk but ALL of these WILL NOT boot from CD or USB. Even BIOS wont list the CD Drive as a bootable option. Wont accept USB CD/DVD drive either althought sees them fine in windows. -NO CHANGE
-No bios update for this modle.
-updated all drives and windows updates to 8.1 - NO CHANGE
Not sure what else I can do to solve this issue? I wish I could boot off CD or USB media so I could do a fresh install and have 0 Lenovo Bloatware as that is probably the cause as found in other forms.

In order to diagnose your problem you will need to download and install the below
Install the WPT (windows Performance Toolkit)

When you have, open an elevated command prompt and type the following
WPRUI.exe (which is the windows performance recorder) and check off the boxes for the following:
First level triage, CPU usage, Disk IO.
If your problem is not CPU or HD then check off the relevant box/s as well (for example networking or registry)
Click Start
Let it run for 60 secs or more and save the file (it will show you where it is being saved and what the file is called)
Zip the file and upload to us on Onedrive (or any file sharing service) and give us a link to it in your next post.

Lion comes with FaceTime. Look in your dock or in the Applications folder.

Urgent help need for login problem B310

Im having a B310, i use veritouch for login purpose. My 4 years kid accidently changed the pass method without my knowledge. After restart, i cant log in. Yet after i try did the forget password in windows 7, it seems cant work. I tried windows password bypass software but shows nopassword set. Unable to get pass via safe mode or f8 as well. Please help me..thanks

Lüfter problem z710 win 8.1

hallo zusammen
habe bei meinem z710 unter win 8.1 immer noch probs mit dem lüfter der sich nicht abschaltet. bios update wurde schon durchgeführt. das lenovo energy management wird für das modell nicht aufgeführt - kann ich es trotzdem benutzen?
prozesse und arbeitsspeicher habe ich im taskmanager überprüft - selbst bei sehr niedriger auslastung unter 5% läuft der lüfter deutlich hörbar.
schnellscan der hardware mittels solution center ergab keine aufälligkeiten
bin um jede hilfen dankbar das gerät ist erst zwei monate alt und ich möchte einen defekt der hardware ausschließen.

ich verzweifele!! Seit etwa Mitte Februar versucht man das Problem zu lösen. Mein Notebook ist bereits 2 mal eingeschickt worden. 1 mal nach Reklamation über meinen Händler. Dabei wurde Lüfter / Kühlung von MEDION ausgetauscht. Danach wurde das Notebook durch die Werkstatt meines Händlers erneut kontrolliert, um auszuschließen, dass sich irgendetwas ungewollt öffnet und dadurch der Lüfter anläuft . Das 2te Mal wurde das Notebook nach einem Telefonat von mir mit dem Technischen Support Ende März. eingeschickt. In dem Telefonat hatte ich den Eindruck, dass mein Gegenüber die Problematik verstanden hat. Zusätzlich habe ich eine Kopie von der Frage von Christian und Deiner Antwort vom 25.06.2014 dem Paket beigefügt. Gestern habe ich das Notebook zurück erhalten. Jetzt wurde das Mainboard durch MEDION ersetzt. Der Fehler ist aber nach wie vor vorhanden. Der Lüfter läuft und läuft und ..... und es nervt und nervt und... Wird denn vor Auslieferung nicht durch einen Test kontrolliert,ob die Beanstandung behoben ist? Was kann ich jetzt noch machen?

Lenovo B310 (core i3-550) - loud fan and disk noise

I got my B310 delivered today and happy with overall look and feel. Just after few our of running, can hear loud noise.
Just double checked and found its cooling fan and hard disk making noise. I am bit worried about this and looking for any possible solutions.

Idea Centre B310 webcam not getting detected

I have dowloaded, uninstalled B310 Camera driver still no camera is detected by my ideacentre, Kindly assist.

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps, they might resolve the issue.
1. Click Start → All Programs → Lenovo USB2.0 UVC Camera → Amcap.
2. Choose Options → Preview from the pop-up window to display the image in the video capture window.
Note:
If there is no image display in the AMCAP video capture window, Please confirm that preview in the options has been checked.
Most Important:
3) Confirm that Devices → Lenovo USB2.0 UVC Camera has been checked.
If there are other devices in this option, do not check them. Only choose the “Lenovo USB2.0 UVC Camera” device, and the window should display the camera image. An image, which is caught by Lenovo PC camera, will be displayed in the video capture window. Adjust the position and pitch angle of the camera to ensure the whole face is displayed in the video capture window.
You can also refer to the User Manual Guide of IdeaCentre B310.

HP probook 4530s. Kann der Lüfter einen konstruktionsfehler aufweisen?- geräusche

Seit einem Monat hat mein HP Probook 4530s ein Prolem mit dem Lüfter.
Sobald der Lüfter aktiv wird, gibt er klappernde Geräusche von sich.
Es befindet sich kein Staub oder Dreck im Lüfter.
Bitte um Ratschläge oder Hilfe.

Ideacenter B540 AIO does not boot (black screen)

I have Ideacenter AIO B540. Windown 8.1 64bit
after booting the computer, I see that the computer turns on but nothing happens, black screen. the lenovo logo does not appear- nothing. shutting it down (hard) and rebooting again - nothing happens. the only solution i found is to "let it cool" (it was not hot from the first place..) for few hours and then rebooting it and it usually helps but clearly something goes wrong.
Please advise what could be the issue?

I had an HP desktop that used to do that to me. It would randomly just shut off then give me a black screen whenever I tried to turn it back on. Usually if I let it sit overnight it would work again in the morning, at least for awhile until it did it again. At first it was once every week or two then became more frequent. It ended up being something wrong with the motherboard. A port went bad or something, I bought a replacement board for about $80 and it worked fine again. Granted it also cost me around $60 to have it diagnosed at a local repair shop, but I got another couple years out of it.

Lenovo Y500 Lüfter maximal laut, wenn zweite Grafikkarte im Ultrabay

Hallo.ich habe ein Y500 mit 2 650M Grafikkarten. Heute habe ich meine MSata gegen eine größere ausgetauscht, nachdem ich den Laptop wieder zusammengeschraubt hatte. hab ich ihn angemacht und alles war ganz normal- Allerdings hatte ich dei Grafikkarte nicht im Ultrabay. Also den Laptop ausgeschaltet Ultrabay eingeschoben und dann gings los, der Lüfter der Hauptgrafikkarte bläst aus allen Rohren. Jemand ne Ahnung woran das liegen könnte? Habe auch das Problem, dass ich die Intel Storage Rapid nicht installieren kann und, wenn ich es auf dem Laptop starten will, kommt eine Fehlermeldung. Wie gesagt. wenn nur die Hauptgraka drin ist, ist der Laptop kaum zu hören, wenn ich aber die zweite ins Ultrabay einsetzt. bläst die Hauptgraka aus allen Rohren.

unter Win 10 haben wir bislang nur ein "sehr überschaubares" Kundenfeedback bzw. wenig Erfahrungswerte, was die von dir beschriebene Konfiguration betrifft. Von der Sache her sollte nichts gegen Installation des blanken Betriebssystems auf einer 30 GB SSD einzuwenden sein, wenn Du nicht gerade mit 16 GB RAM arbeitest und eine entsprechend große Auslagerungsdatei auf der SSD angelegt wird.
Vielleicht haben andere User dieses Forums diese, oder eine ähnliche Konfiguiration bereits unter WIN 10 auf Herz und Nieren getestet?

The 5 second timing is important to a successful reset.
