Identify the Button Pressed in BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI ?

Hi guys,
Do you know how could I identify which button was pressed in BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI ?    Because that badi is called a lot of times, but I would like to execute some code when the end-user pushes the "submit" button.
Do you know ?
Thank yoiu !!!!
Diego

Hi Diego,
Simple, in the transaction that you are using (Say BBPSC01 or BBPSC02) before you press the button,switch on the Debugging(/h) and press the button. IN the Debugger screen find the value for the system variable SY-UCOMM. This should show you the button ID used.
Please reward points if this hint is useful.
Thanks & Regards,
Venkat

  • Identifying the Enter pressed by the user in the Inputfield

    Hi all,
    We have one Comment field on Portal screen that is given by the user (User may press enter while giving the comments). We are sending that field value to R3 through RFC and when we are getting back that comment field value from R3 we need to identify the Enter pressed by the user. We are writing the code for identifying "/n" in that comments field but that is not working. Can anyone help me out in this? This is really urgent.
    Thanxs in advance!!!

    Hi Gurmat and Manoj,
                                   Do you want to replace the TextEdit too? I thought only to print or send to backend. No problems. We can do change in TextEdit as well.
    My input in TextEdit is:
    How
    are
    you
    Manoj?
    After button click I got output in TextEdit and TextView(I used button to trigger event):
    How are you Manoj?
    In onActionButton() my code is:
    StringBuffer buffer = new StringBuffer(wdContext.currentContextElement().getText());
         for (int i = 0,index=buffer.indexOf("\n"); i < buffer.length(); i++) {
         if(i==index){
              buffer.replace(i-1, i+1," ");
              index = buffer.indexOf("\n");
              if (index==-1)
              break;
    In StringBuffer use "" only

  • Getting the index of the button pressed in an array of buttons

    Hi,
    I have an array of buttons.
    JButton buttons[];
    buttons = new JButton[18];
    for(int idx = 0; idx<buttons.length; idx++)
    buttons[idx] = new JButton("changing button name");
    buttons[idx].addActionListener(this);
    locationButtonGrid.add(buttons[idx]);
    locationButtonGrid.validate();
    I need to know the index of the button pressed. I can't work from the string that is to be sent to the actionListener as this is going to be coming from a database and changing all the time. The idea behind it is that I am narrowing a list of entries down in a database by dividing it into 18 different sections, then dividing that section into 18 different sections and so on.
    I need to know which of the 18 buttons was pressed. Is this possible?
    Please let it be so!
    Cheers,
    elmicko

    Try this (my code is in bold):
    JButton buttons[];
    buttons = new JButton[18];
    for(int idx = 0; idx<buttons.length; idx++)
    buttons[idx] = new JButton("changing button name");
    buttons[idx].addActionListener(this);
    buttons[idx].setID( String.valueOf( idx ) );
    locationButtonGrid.add(buttons[idx]);
    locationButtonGrid.validate();
    In the listener (assuming event is evt):
    buttons[ Integer.parseInt(evt.getSource().getID()) ]
    or
    int idx = Integer.parseInt(evt.getSource().getID());
    buttons[idx]
    finally, if you want to modify the button when you get the event, you can just call the JButton methods by casting the source to a JButton and working from there.

  • How do I identify the button that has been pressed?

    Hi,
    I have an application that has a single event handler which handles 8 different menu selection items (they happen to be sources for a scope display). Since handling any of these requires knowledge of all of these, it makes sense to handle all of them with a single event, rather than configure one event per button.
    So, the question is, once I enter the event handler, how do I determine exactly which of the buttons (menu item, actually - sorry for the interchangeability) has been pressed? I have:
    Source
    Type
    Time
    CtlRef
    OldVal
    NewVal
    as possible parameters, but none of these provide an identification as to which one was pressed. BTW, the reason for doing this is that if the change happens to result in an invalid configuration, I wish to reset the menu selection to the previous value.
    Thanks,
    Jason

    As an alternate to searching refs, you can a) go the long way and just build one event per button or b) put the buttons into a cluster and search for the changed value that way.
    An example of 'b' is attached (LV 6.1).

  • Test the button pressed in WDDOBEFOREACTION

    Hi
    I wish to action some code in the WDDOBEFOREACTION method but only when I have pressed 'Save'.  I presume there is a way that I can test the action that is currently being performed?
    Regards
    Ian

    Looks like it's the IF_WD_VIEW_CONTROLLER=>GET_CURRENT_ACTION method.
    This is the code I put in place.
    DATA: lr_view_controller TYPE REF TO if_wd_view_controller,
            lr_action TYPE REF TO if_wd_action.
      lr_view_controller ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
      lr_action = lr_view_controller->get_current_action( ).
      CHECK lr_action IS NOT INITIAL.
      IF lr_action->name = 'SAVE'.
        wd_comp_controller->check_input( ).
      ENDIF.

  • Checking to see what button the user pressed.

    Hello to All,
    I have a web page I am trying to create Its a form that
    allows users to enter in career information . The problem is that I
    have 1 row shown to the user at a time and when the user presses
    the (Add new) button, I want another row to appear to let the user
    enter more career information. I have figured out a way to do this
    using <cfif IsDefined("FORM.Add")> , But I don't want to send
    the form to the server, I just want to check the button and then
    add a new line without a form.submit, because right now I have 2
    forms on the page. Is there anyway to check the button pressed
    without a form submit. Like is there a coldfusion check to see what
    button has been pressed.
    sample code:
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    You can add additional rows already on the server in CF, but
    hide them with CSS, and have the add button just switch them to
    visible (with a little java script), like in the sample below.
    cheers,
    fober
    <cfset number_of_fields= 15>
    <cfoutput>
    <cfloop index="x" from="1" to="#number_of_fields#">

    obj.style.display= 'inline';

    counter++;

  • How can I call my chart in Forms6i on When Button Press Trigger?

    Hi Friends,
    I have make a chart in Graphic Builder 6i and save on path C:\graph\test.ogd
    Now I want to run this Chart from Form6i on When Button Press trigger.
    I have call my report in forms using this command on When Button Press trigger.
    Run_Product(reports,'C:\Cheema\Qdir_store\reports\pmms\sec_backlog',asynchronous,runtime,filesystem,TO_CHAR(NULL));
    So tell me How can I call my chart in Forms6i?
    Please reply me on urgent.
    Thanks,
    Shahzad

    Just to recall after a long break of couple of years..... Pls check out if not wrong.
    First of all you need to embeed the chart object on your layout window and make it visible = FALSE. This is a design time work. In the button press event, show the chart object by setting the visible property = TRUE.
    Note, i could not paste u the sample code as i don't have forms installation on my PC. The above states is a logic you can apply.

  • Why am I getting this error?  How do I add confirm message to button press?

    Using Java Studio Creator.
    I do not understand why I am getting the following page error:
    Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the web application. Please review the following stack trace for more information regarding the error.
    Exception Details: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException
    Index: 0, Size: 0
    Possible Source of Error:
    Class Name: java.util.ArrayList
    File Name: ArrayList.java
    Method Name: RangeCheck
    Line Number: 546
    ======================================================================
    I have a page that works.
    It has a button that is created in the session bean code with the following java:
    button = (HtmlCommandButton)application.createComponent(HtmlCommandButton.COMPONENT_TYPE);
    button.setActionListener( application.createMethodBinding("#{ScheduleEditSessionBean.mainApply}", new Class[]{ActionEvent.class} ));
    button.setId( "applyUndates" );
    button.setType( "submit" );
    button.setTitle( "Apply updates.");
    button.setValue( "Apply" );
    button.setStyle(style);
    children.add(button);
    When the button is pushed, it calls the following session bean method:
    public void mainApply(ActionEvent actionEvent)
    updateScheduleData();
    scheduleAdjustFlag = 1;
    dataApplied = true;
    dataSaved = false;
    addControls();
    This all works just fine - no errors
    ====================================================================
    I wanted to add confirmation to the button press, so I removed the action listener for this button and added
    a javascript function call for the onclick method
    button = (HtmlCommandButton)application.createComponent(HtmlCommandButton.COMPONENT_TYPE);
    style = "text-align: center; font-family: 'Arial','Helvetica',sans-serif; " + font + " height: 22px; width: 115px";
    // Commented out this line button.setActionListener( application.createMethodBinding("#{ScheduleEditSessionBean.mainApply}", new Class[]{ActionEvent.class} ));
    button.setOnclick("confirmApply()"); // Added this line.
    button.setId( "applyUndates" );
    button.setType( "submit" );
    button.setTitle( "Apply updates.");
    button.setValue( "Apply" );
    button.setStyle(style);
    children.add(button);
    I added a dummy button to the page that has the following call to execute the mainApply method in the sessioon bean.
    The button action just calls the mainApply() method in the session bean
    public String mainApplyBtn_action() {
    seb.mainApply();
    return null;
    Added the javascript to the page that simply pushes the dummy button if confirmed.
    function confirmApply()
    if( confirm( 'Are you sure you want to Apply these changes?' ) )
    form1["form1:mainApplyBtn"].click();
    The session bean method looks like this it is the same method as before, but without the action event argument.
    public void mainApply()
    lsb.logMsg( "<ScheduleEditBean.mainApply> Main apply pushed" );
    updateScheduleData();
    scheduleAdjustFlag = 1;
    dataApplied = true;
    dataSaved = false;
    addControls();
    ==================================================================================
    Now, when I push the original 'Apply' button, I get the confirmation box just like I expected.
    But when I confirm the question, I get the error at the top of this post.
    If I push the 'dummy button' directly, I do not get the error.
    I do not understand why I should be gettng this error.
    Can anyone give me a clue as to why this change would cause the problem?
    The error is related to an ArrayList.
    I use several of these on the page, but they should be filled with data in the preRender method of the page.
    Can anyone suggest a way that I can add confirmation to a button that is created under program control?
    Thanks

    Make use of the fact that when an onclick event of a button returns 'false', the action will not be taken.
    Pseudocode:<h:commandButton value="submit" action="#{myBean.action}" onclick="return confirm('Are you sure?');" />

  • How to call a dynamic URL on 'button press' event, in MVC-based BSP

    Hi,
    My requirement is as below:
    On selecting a row in table view, and pressing a button, I need to open a browser.
    The Browser URL depends on the row selected.
    The key field from table view, is added at the end of the URL string.
    Shortly, I can say that, I am getting a value on row selection & want to pass it to button event.
    In Views Section, there are 2 tags- (1)table view & (2)button.
    Right now, I have put the code for getting the key field, in DO_HANDLE_DATA method.
    In Button's OnClientClick method, I have called the Javascript to open the browser.
    If I now write the code to concatenate the key field value to form the dynamic URL in 'OnClick' method,
    it will be called only after the browser is opened.
    (as OnClick event is executed only after OnClientClick event is executed)
    Could anyone please tell me what event (and in which tag) can be used to solve this.
    Is there any event which is triggered, as soon as the row is selected, &  before the button press event is triggered ?
    Would really appreciate responses made to this query.
    Thanks,
    Nisha Vengal.

    Hi Nisha,
    The crux of your issue here is that you want to call the event triggered with onClick before calling the event triggered on onClientClick. This can be achieved by the following code in the function called on the onClientClick.
    function fn_button()
               htmlbSL(this,2,'b_row_selection:onInputProcessing()');
               window.open("new_page",target="BLANK");
    Here, fn_button is the javascript function called on button click, and b_row_selection is the event triggered on the onClick event of row selection.
    Try this out and let us know if it works for you.

    Saurabh

  • Problem while hide a block on selection screen on button press

    Hi,
    I have added two buttons on the application toolbar of the selection screen. I have input fields under two blocks on the selection-screen. Initially the second block is hidden. If I press the button 1 the second block should be made visible.
    For this to happen, I captured the button 1 click event using the following statement.
    IF sscrfields-ucomm = 'FC01'.
    Inside the if ... endif, I looped at the screen and made the second block visible. It was working fine.
    loop at screen.
      if screen-group4 = '013'.
         screen-invisible = 1.
         screen-active    = 0.
      endif.
    endloop.
    Later the second button was added. Now when i run the report for the first time, if button 2 is clicked the hidden block appears on the selection screen even though i have not added any code for it.
    Just to check, i commented the logic to display the hidden block on button 1 click event. Even without any code the first time i press any of the two buttons added on the application toolbar the hidden block is displayed.
    I saved a variant for the report.
    During execution of the report, if i select any variant then the hidden block is displayed.
    Can anyone please tell me how to fix this problem.
    Regards,
    T2.

  • URL Branch with java script  target fails, but works as button press

    I have a java script that displays a "report is loading" message when the page's submit button is pressed via the optional URL redirect attribute of the button.
    Unfortunately, I had to remove the optional URL Redirect so that I could perform some computations and processes as a result of the button press.
    I tried to put the script link in a branch attached to the button, but it failed with the following error.
    ERR-1777: Page 11 provided no page to branch to. Please report this error to your application administrator.
    Restart Application
    After the branch to the java script, there is an unconditional branch to page 11.
    Any one encounter this issue before and, if so, is there a work around?

    Hi
    Can you not use a URL redirect on the button to call your Javascript function - the Javascript will display the message you want to display, then call
    doSubmit('request_name');
    ...to submit your page, picking up all your processes/computations etc
    You then need to define a branch on your page which is conditional on the value of REQUEST - in this case request would be 'request_name'.

  • 2 Second Button Press Activation

    I'm working on a touchscreen application and I have a basic control that has large buttons on it. I want to make the buttons only activate if the user has held his/her finger on the button for 2 seconds or more. I'm using  Mouse Down event structures to detect the button presses, BUT how do I make the user hold the button down for 2 seconds before the button actually activates?
    Ideally I would love to just be able to "hold for 2 seconds" and have it trigger as opposed to "hold for 2 seconds and release" but I can't get either to work. Thanks folks and we got a weekend coming up!
    -- Matt

    Here is a VI (LV8.20) that does what you want, mostly. It uses Mouse Down, Mouse Up, and Mouse Leave events to control a timer and to toggle a boolean indicator. Mouse Down on th ebutton starts the timer. Mouse Up or Mouse Leave before the 2 seconds causes the timer to stop. If the mouse stays down on the button for more than two seconds, the indicator state toggles.
    If you are using other events, this likely will not work properly in all cases. A better approach might be to put the timer into a parallel loop (rather than the timeout case) and just send messages via a queue about which events have occurred.

  • Flv "white flash" in between videos playing when button pressed.

    I am currently working on a catalyst project whereby the buttons pressed play different sections of an animation. My problem is that the animation flashes white for a split second in between pressing the button and the video playing. Does anyonyone know how to eliminate this white flash? Would really appreciate any help,
    Cheers,
    Dan

    Hello all,
    Yes to follow up Ben, I'm experiencing the exact same problems as him. I changed browser to Firefox 3.0.11 a couple of months ago and hence downloaded the Flash plugin for Firefox. I noticed the issue straight away in Youtube, but not on other sites. As I attributed the problem to Firefox, I then downloaded Opera 9.64 - but experienced the same problem. This led me to believe the issue was the Flash plugin, as both browsers are served by the same Adobe plugin for 'alternative browsers' to IE.
    I then tried IE6 again in youtube and it didn't have the problem on standard view, however the problem was (and still is) occurring in full screen view. I'm nearly 100% sure this problem didn't occur before I downloaded the Flash plugin for Firefox / Opera. Regardless of whether that is the issue, the problem was definitely not happening on my system in IE6 earlier this year.
    As Ben said, my computer is fairly old but well managed and up to date. OS is Windows 2000 SP4, system is AMD Athlon 900 (slot A), 512 Mb RAM, 16Mb Voodoo 3 graphics, m/board MSI MS-6191.
    I've also tried removing the Flash plugin for Firefox/Opera and for IE6 and reinstalling it but had no joy there either. I would try an updated version of IE too but IE6 is the last version compatible with Win 2k.
    Any help appreciated, thanks.

  • Hide the button

    Helllo all,
    How can i hide the EXPORT button in the DocumentViewerRN? This export button is populated when the RUN button is clicked in that region. So i need to make this EXPORT button visible on the button press of the RUN button.
    Note: This DocumentViewerRN is a seeded region i'm importing in my page to display my pdf output.
    Thanks a lot for help in advance.
    Kumar

    Hi Gaurav,
    I did like you specified. Below is the code i have implemented extending the controller class of the documentviewerRN but still its not hiding the EXPORT button.
    public class xxxDocumentViewerCO extends oracle.apps.xdo.oa.common.webui.DocumentViewerCO
    public static final String RCS_ID="$Header$";
    public static final boolean RCS_ID_RECORDED =
    VersionInfo.recordClassVersion(RCS_ID, "%packagename%");
    public void processRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
    super.processRequest(pageContext, webBean);
    OASubmitButtonBean exportbutton = (OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("Export");
    exportbutton.setRendered(false);
    public void processFormRequest(OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
    super.processFormRequest(pageContext, webBean);
    if(pageContext.getParameter("Go")!=null)
    pageContext.forwardImmediatelyToCurrentPage(null,true,null);
    Please advice
