Identifying follow up creation in CIC

Hi all.
In reference to this issue:
Another question about CRM_ORDERADM_H_BADI
Is there more definitive way to identify a follow up task - creation (when using BADI CRM_ORDER_H_BADI)? At the moment I'm using the statment:
IF sy-ucomm = '1OMAIN_FOLLOW_UP'.
But I don't feel very good about it. I tried looking up for a parameter that could help me in crmt_orderadm_h_wrk - but couldn't find anything helpful.
Thanks and Regards,
Jacob.

Hi Suvankar
You are correct, we only create an inquiry.  Currently we don't have a backlog item to directly create an order.    Let us know if you see many customers who would want to have the sales rep do the request and it goes directly to the order.  Many companies do not want the sales rep to create the order.  There are other scenarios, like in Cloud for Service, where a mashup is used to directly create the ECC order from Cloud for Service.
Your BADI is the best solution for this, assuming they always want to directly go to the sales order.

  • Search for Follow-Up Activity in CIC Search Area

    Hi CRM Experts,
    I am new in CRM world, so in customizing(IMG) path: CRM --> Transactions --> Settings for Activities --> Mantain Categories, Goals and Priorities --> Mantain Categories, I created an entry for a new category called Survey.
    In Tcode CIC0 I create a Follow up activity with category survey.
    But when I execute Tcode CIC0, and in the search area I limit the search to the BP that logged the
    call->find:Business activty->By:Category->Category:Survey->Valid from:01.01.2006->Valid to:31.12.2006
    But no follow-up activity is found.
    What am I doing wrong?
    The search works fine if I create a normal Business activity with category Survey, but as soon as I create a Follow up activity with category survey, the searh area cannot locate the activity, it even fails to locate it by transaction number??
    Can anyone help me?
    We are implementing CRM4.0, IC Winclient.

    Hi Robert,
       Thanks for your reply
       I checked the link, But I didnt get the full information there.
       Firstly, my problem is not with upgrade and
       the second thing is before implementing the note 660016, I am able to see both in CRM GUI and Web
       UI all the business acitivities and tasks along with other transaction types as follow-up transactions.
       After implementing the note, I am not able to see only the business activities and tasks in the Web UI
       as follow-ups and in CRM GUI, its appearing as follow-ups.
       Hope you got my question now...
       If this is not done in customization I need to code according to my scenario..
       When I kept a break point this class is triggering from another class.
       Do I need to code in the class CL_CRM_UIU_BT_ACT_CUST_GET, according to my scenario.
       Again I have a question here, will you please tell me in which component this class exists, so that I
       will enhance that component.
       Because when I debug after clicking on the Follow-Up button,this class is calling some where
       down...So I am unbale to get the right component for this.

  • Question regarding Opportunity follow up creation from C4C into ERP

    Hi All,
      We have an integration scenario for C4C-ERP where we have the requirement of creating a Follow up Sales Order document from an Opportunity and get relevant Sales document information back in C4C. We have used the below Communication arrangement in C4C:
    "Opportunity with Follow Up Business Transaction document in External System. "
    Below HCI IFlow configured/Deployed in Eclipse:
    "COD2ERP_OpportunityFollowUp_Replicate"
    "ERP2COD_Opportunity_Replicate".
    Relevant certificates/services all set in ERP.
    Currently this standard IFLOW just allows to automatically create an Inquiry (Order request) document in ERP . Doesn't create the Sales Order. Based on our requirement ,we have extended the BAPI (custom development) in ERP to automatically create the Sales order from the Inquiry document.  Wanted to understand if there is any standard process( HCI IFlow/Comm scenario) which allows the same as of today or SAP is working to get a standard solution in near future for the same.
    Thanks,
    Suvankar

  • Surrogate or Buisness Identifier during Dimension Creation??

    Hi I am using OWB and I am confused in identifying surrogate or buisness identifiers ?? What are they and how do i know if a certain field is a buisness or surrogate identifier??

    Consider the example where a Customer dimension is sourced from 2 different systems, there is a Customer_ID = 1 in both systems but they releate to different customers.
    In this case you should assign a surrogate key to the data e.g. Customer_ID = 1 from Source System A is given a surrogate key = 100 and Customer_ID = 1 from Source System B is given a surrogate key = 101.
    This enables a FK/Join between the fact table and the dimension on a single colum i.e. the surrogate key, otherwise the join would have to be a composite key of Customer_ID and Source System.
    It's best practice to always use surrogate keys.

  • Searching Records Following the Creation of a Lookup Table

    Hello,
    Please excuse my ignorance but I have just created a lookup table by using the wizard in SQL Workshop. All is well text has been replaced by numbers. My issue is that when I do a search now using a drop down list based on a query it returns records based on other numbers as well. That is if '2' relates to an item the search picks up anything containing a 2: 2,21,22, etc. How can I get the query to return a value for the number selected and not anything containing that number?
    and (
    instr(upper("MODEL_ID"),upper(nvl(:P40_REPORT_SEARCH,"MODEL_ID"))) > 0
    Kind Regards,
    Swelch
    Edited by: Steve Welch on Mar 9, 2012 12:03 PM

    Here are two potential solutions
    and (instr(upper('~'||"MODEL_ID"||'~'),upper(nvl('~'||:P40_REPORT_SEARCH||'~',"MODEL_ID"))) > 0)or
    AND model_id = NVL(:P40_REPORT_SEARCH, model_id)The first is often used for components such as shuttles. I think I've added the special characters in the right place - not tested/verified against my previous example
    The second may be more appropriate to your scenario, depending on your data.

  • What are the steps follows after creation of holiday calender,......

    Hi Experts....
    I have created Holiday calender for the year 2008 and successfully tranported to production server.What are the further things to be done to get complteness...
    Please advice....
    Regards,
    Sai.

    thats all.
    it is advisable to run RPTUPD00
    Revaluation of Attendance/Absence Records using Batch Input
    The program creates a batch input session for revaluating absence and attendance records. A revaluation can be necessary if work schedule data on which the valuation is based changes after the absence or attendance is entered, for example.
    The relevant absence or attendance records are saved when the batch input session is processed, and the absence or attendance data is revaluated.

  • Slow table creation after upgrade from 10.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.1 using DBUA

    I've recently completed a database upgrade from 10.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.1 using the DBUA.
    I've since encountered a slowdown when running a script which drops and recreates a series of ~250 tables. The script normally runs in around 19 seconds. After the upgrade, the script requires ~2 minutes to run.
    By chance has anyone encountered something similar?
    The problem may be related to the behavior of an "after CREATE on schema" trigger which grants select privileges to a role through the use of a dbms_job call; between 10g and the database that was upgraded from 10G to 11g. Currently researching this angle.
    I will be using the following table creation DDL for this abbreviated test case:
    create table ALLIANCE  (
       ALLIANCEID           NUMBER(10)                      not null,
       NAME                 VARCHAR2(40)                    not null,
       CREATION_DATE        DATE,
       constraint PK_ALLIANCE primary key (ALLIANCEID)
               using index
           tablespace LIVE_INDEX
    tablespace LIVE_DATA;When calling the above DDL, an "after CREATE on schema" trigger is fired which schedules a job to immediately run to grant select privilege to a role for the table which was just created:
    create or replace
    trigger select_grant
    after CREATE on schema
    declare
        l_str varchar2(255);
        l_job number;
    begin
        if ( ora_dict_obj_type = 'TABLE' ) then
            l_str := 'execute immediate "grant select on ' ||
                                         ora_dict_obj_name ||
                                        ' to select_role";';
            dbms_job.submit( l_job, replace(l_str,'"','''') );
        end if;
    end;
    {code}
    Below I've included data on two separate test runs.  The first is on the upgraded database and includes optimizer parameters and an abbreviated TKPROF.  I've also, included the offending sys generate SQL which is not issued when the same test is run on a 10g environment that has been set up with a similar test case.  The 10g test run's TKPROF is also included below.

    So while this certainly isn't the most elegant of solutions, and most assuredly isn't in the realm of supported by Oracle...
    I've used the DBMS_IJOB.DROP_USER_JOBS('username'); package to remove the 194558 orphaned job entries from the job$ table. Don't ask, I've no clue how they all got there; but I've prepared some evil looks to unleash upon certain developers tomorrow morning.
    Not being able to reorganize the JOB$ table to free the now wasted ~67MB of space I've opted to create a new index on the JOB$ table to sidestep the full table scan.
    CREATE INDEX SYS.JOB_F1_THIS_NEXT ON SYS.JOB$ (FIELD1, THIS_DATE, NEXT_DATE) TABLESPACE SYSTEM;The next option would be to try to find a way to grant the select privilege to the role without using the aforementioned "after CREATE on schema" trigger and dbms_job call. This method was adopted to cover situations in which a developer manually added a table directly to the database rather than using the provided scripts to recreate their test environment.
    I assume that the following quote from the 11gR2 documentation is mistaken, and there is no such beast as "create or replace table" in 11g:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10592/statements_9003.htm#i2061306
    "Dropping a table invalidates dependent objects and removes object privileges on the table. If you want to re-create the table, then you must regrant object privileges on the table, re-create the indexes, integrity constraints, and triggers for the table, and respecify its storage parameters. Truncating and replacing have none of these effects. Therefore, removing rows with the TRUNCATE statement or replacing the table with a *CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE* statement can be more efficient than dropping and re-creating a table."

  • Inspection lot creation during STO return

    Hello Gurus,
    is there a trick to trigger inspection lot creation during STO return ?
    Scenario is the following:
    1 - Creation of STO
    2 - Supplying plant ships materials... stock in transit
    3 - Receiving plant receives materials
    4 - Materials with defects -> Receiving plant add new line with return tick on the same material
    5 - GI from Receiving plant... stock in transit
    6 - Supplying plant receives materials -> Inspection lot has to be created
    I used inspection type 08 on Receiving plant w/o success.
    Many thanks.
    Stéphane

    No inspection lot is created when we return Materials to Vendor (Plant A) even if we maintain Inspection type 02.
    Before STO customizing, Plant B creates a subcontracting purchase order. Next Materials are sending to Vendor (Plant A) and put in "Stock provided to vendor" (Transaction ME2O).
    Vendor (Plant B) creates a Repair request (Sales document / Transaction VA01). Next run VRRE to reveice Materials to repair. Inspection lot is automatically created. The usage decision triggers the creation of Service order to manage all the repairing flow. Last step is to deliver Materials to Plant A and create Repair invoice.
    Repair request supports all repairing flow (inspection lot, service oder...), especialy status (out of warranty or not).
    After STO customizing, I expected the following result:
    1° - Return STO to Vendor (Plant A) / ME21N with return tick
    2° - Plant B ships Materials / MIGO wih 101 (SAP converts in 161)
    3° - Stock in Transit
    4° - Materials receive to Vendor (Plant B) / VL10B
    5° - Creation Inspection lot
    6° - UD triggered Service order creation
    7° - ...Repairing flow with Service order...
    8° - Materials ship to Plant B
    9° - Repair invoice
    10° - Stock in Transit
    11° - Plant B receives Materials
    As I said, there are 2 blocking points:
    - Inspection lot not created when Vendor receives Materials
    - Service order not created automatically (because no Repair request to support inspection lot, service order...)
    Thanks a lot for your help.
    Tell me if you have any questions.

  • Deletion of Shipment, Shipment Cost Document, aftr creation of ref. P.O,IR

    Dear SAP Gurus,
    I have a Scenario in my customer System.
    the Scenario is as follows,
    1) Creation of a Sales ORder
    2) Delivery
    3) Shipment
    4) Shipment Cost (as the shipping is carried by a vendor, we capture the costs here)
    5) With Reference to the Shipment cost, we create a Purchase Order
    6) after the P.O , the IR
    Current Situation :
    The End user is able to delete the Shipment Cost and the Shipment Document even if the P.O  is invoiced.
    Requirement :
    the Shipment and the shipment cost Documents shouldnt be deleted unless the IR is reversed for the P.O
    Note * Is there a Configuration Possible for this requirement *
    awaiting your Expert Comments
    Many thanks in Advance.

    you can download the Business One Development Tools here:

    Also, there are recorded Business One Expert Sessions on SDN that demo the usage of our tools. Take a look at them and let me know if they help you understand this process better:

  • Error Message: Creation of Temporary Table "#BIMC_SETS" not possible

    Hello,
    I am trying to get data from HANA Virtual Data Model (VDM) from MDX connection in MS Excel. The VDM Views and models are visitble after the connection is successfully made.
    But when I try to fetch the data, I get the following error:
    "Creation of Temporary Table "BIMC_SETS" is not possible".
    Can someone let me know how to resolve this?
    Best regards,
    Akhil

    Hi Lars,
    I am getting the same error. We are trying to build a role for Adhoc reporting. The role has analytic privilege, object privilege with select on individual models in _SYS_BIC (models we want to expose and part of AP), object privilege on _SYS_BI with select and execute and also object privilege execute on REPOSITORY_REST.
    I am able to execute the models using Lumira and Analysis for excel, however getting error with MDX connection.
    Also we want to try and restrict direct ODBC access to HANA using query from excel. With the above privileges user is able to see all the M_ views and get data for it. Can we restrict this?
    We are on SP6 rev 67.
    Thanks,
    Aamod

  • "Creation of login object failed" after MAS generation

    Hi everybody,
    I am working on CRM Mobile Sales 5.0 SP6. I have performed the initial generation with the .NET Application Studio. It gave me 6 errors and some warnings. Now when I tried to logon my mobile client I 've got following error:
    "Creation of login object failed".
    Visual Studio is installed on partition "C:\Program Files\" and Mobile Sales on "D:\SAP\"
    Has someone any ideas? Thanks in advance,
    Mirko

    Hi Mirko!
    In your app you're calling unknown data structures. While generating the "compiler" read the names and want to create the relevant structures but the necessary data to do this are missing. You have to start fist the client console doing a complete meta data generation. If this runs without error your generation inside the studio will succeed, too.
    BTW: In your first posting you've written "D:SAP..." and in your last the error-message was "D:ProgrammeSAP..."...
    Perhaps different settings?
    Do you have made already a successful generation with the actual installation?
    Good luck,
    Ingo

  • PIR creation for Configurable material

    Hi,
    Please let me know, the process for creating PIR's for a configurable material.
    Currently my client is using Stategy 82 for creation of prodcution order directly from sales order and does the selection of characteristics while creating the sales order.
    when i try to create PIR using MD61,the system is giving a error " No Planning Profile maintained".
    please help me out with the steps to be followed for creation of PIR's.
    Regards
    Ramesh

    Hi,
    you can not create PIR in MD61 with planning strategy 82. it is MTO stategy.
    If you want to plan for configurable materials, go for characteristic plannijg strategy like 56.
    In characteristic planning you need to maintain option (characteristics) usage % in MD61. In addtion to configurable profile it also needs planning profile 9 where you need to maintina exact characterisrics for whome option % should be maintinaed in MD61).
    If you dont include certain charcteristics from configurable profile in planning profile then they will not be planned in Md61.
    Check Charcteristic planning at below link:
