Idle temperature for celeron

Anyone knows idle temperature for a celeron 2.4 if using the heaksink/fan from the original box?

Yes I have to agree with Maesus, The stock thermal tape that comes on the boxed heatsink should be removed and replaced with some quality thearmal grease. ie Artic silver..ect.. ..Sean REILLY875

  • Idle temps for MSI R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC?

    Hello everyone,
I'm concerned about my idle temperatures for this card. I just received it and based on reviews, most people are idling around 30C. However, my card is idling above 55C (without OC). I have adequate cooling in my case, and I've even tested it without the side of the case attached. What could cause my idle temperature to be so high?
    Thanks!

Keep in mind you are using dual monitor. Even in idle the card will therefor consum far more power than a vga with just one display connected. Consuming more power means more heat so questionable if the idle temps of "most people" you refered to were also using dual monitor. What are your load temps?
The voltage difference between 2 monitors and 1 is 0.9V vs 0.825V. HOWEVER, I did notice that with a single monitor the GPU Memory clock drops (to 150MHz) during idle, but with dual monitor it stays at full speed when idle (Driver issue? I'm running 12.7 beta). A single monitor drops my idle temps down to around 44/46C. IF I force the GPU memory clock to be at the same idle speed when using a single monitor, the temperature for Dual Monitor during idle drops to 44/46C, the SAME as single monitor. That is at 1.075V. That is still a good 15C above what others are reporting. In this case, I'm not seeing a difference in temp between dual a single monitors when I force the GPU Mem Clock to the idle speed.
With load I get between 70C and 80C running Furmark.
One of the reasons I bought this card was because of its ability to overclock. If I'm already that far above in temp, then I feel like I'm going to hit a wall much sooner than I should. I feel like something weird is going on with my card.

  • Temperature for MSI r9 280x Twin Frozr

Hi everyone. Hope you can help me . I just bought an msi r9 280x twi frozr 4 the OC version. My pc is the following : i
5 2500k running at stock speed with stock cooler
MB Asus P8h61-m LX (im gonna change it i know its bad)
    8 gigs of ram
    1 ssd of 120Gb and 1 hdd 1Tb
power source is a sirtec 750W (bronze)
Case is zalman z3 plus (only one fan connected, the one thats in the back of the case for airflow)
So, in catalyst (last drivers) i have like 44 45 degrees C in idle !
In furmark i get like 84 degrees C but i ve heard thats normal for a stress test
When i play demanding games (Dragon Age Inquisition, high\ultra) i get like 67 68 degrees C with fans set  to auto from catalyst)
I dont like the idle temperature. It could be possible that my card is already OC'ed ? I didnt buy it from a store i bought it from a friend of mine.
If it's OC'ed, how can i check this ? If its not OC'ed, what should i do about the seemingly high idle temperature ? Thank you !

All temps are normal (including idle), nothing to worry and nothing to do.

  • Normal temperature for NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT

Hi, what is the normal temperature for NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT when on notebook I use only word, or some programs, no play games.

Quote from: Mike on 01-February-10, 11:02:34
normal depends on the environment, the ambient temperature.  Is it hot where you use it?  Do you use it on a hard surface or place it directly on your lap or some cloth type surface.  There are quite a number of variables.  What temperatures are you noticing?
if I work with word or use internet the temperature is about 55*C

  • What is the maximum temperature for a macbook generic processor to operate?

Right now the temperature for my cpu is 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Is that bad? Whats the highest temperature a Macbook can properly operate?

Games & video editing, along with Flash videos & games, are some of the most processor-intensive tasks. If you're doing those things, you'll definitely see an increase in temperature.
If not, you may want to look at Activity Monitor (Applications>Utilities), sorting the processes by CPU, and see if any process is stuck.

  • What is the maximum temperature for a mid 2010 MacBook?

I need to know the maximum running temperature for my mid 2010 (white unibody) MacBook. And at what temperature should I shut it down? I'm also curious if I should turn up the speed of my fans and what speed I should set them at. Thanks for everyones support!
It would also be great if someone could provide a link or tell me where they found the info because I want to make sure it is official, I couldn't seem to find it on Apple's technical specs nor google.

MacBooks are designed to shut themselves down if they reach a temperature above which they should not operate. It also controls its own fans, you should not mess with that. I don't know what that temperature is. If your MacBook is running too hot you may want to try resetting the System Management Controller, which is a good first step for all sorts of power related issues.
    Best of luck.

  • Optimum operating temperature for 1.42/1.25DP MDD Machine

    Hello all,
I have a DP 1.25 MDD. Lovin' it! My question: Last night, my machine was running at 135 degrees fahrenheit. After reading about chud tools 3.5.2 and enabling nap mode, my fans and temperature have gone down TREMENDOUSLY. Of course, I also installed the PCI Exhaust fan from my DA Mac. Right now, my CPU temperature reads 108.5 - a far far cry from 135.
Can someone tell me what is the normal temperature for the dual processor MDD'S? I am trying to get this thing below 100 degrees.

    Hi Carl,
I intend to enjoy it, and enjoy it for a long time, well not too long, but a lot longer than when I had the digital audio and that beast ran with 300 percent perfection and no problems at all.
Now that I finally got the original restore cd's and os x install disks, I can now proceed hopefully(keeping my fingers crossed) to dual boot into OS 9.2.2, however it seems that the chud tools only work in OS X and not in OS 9.2.2, but then again I am not worried since my DP 1.25 is able to handle it.
Right now according to temperature monitor the temperature of "CPU B" is now:
95.8 degrees + the fact that I took out the PCI fan card from my digital audio machine, now my son's machine. I do see the fan doing its job effectively. My question then is: How to keep the chud tools and nap mode enabled throughout the whole mac? Meaning, when in OS 9.2.2 and also booting things.
Above all, I am very happy and pleased with this G4. I wonder if the next OS will work on this?
according to rumor sites and I HATE rumors, they are saying that no G4 will be supported, but this has to be a lie.

  • What is a normal operating temperature for a 15" MBP 2.33 duel?

i know this has been beaten to death, but i never can find what is considered to be a "normal operating temperature" for the MBP.
mac book pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

An MBP C2D should operate from 50ºC through to about 85ºC. I find mine averages in the low 50's however I don't do a lot on it. Anything that really requires processing gets done on my Mac Pro. It really comes down to how hard, or not, you push the processors.
Comparitively I find that it generally runs cooler than the PowerBook G4 1.25GHz it replaced however it does get hotter under maximum load. It just comes down to what you do with your MBP. You've basically asked "how long is a piece of string".

  • Shifting the white-balance temperature for a whole collection of photos

    Hi All,
I've just stumbled upon this problem and can't find a solution although I'm sure the Lightroom is capable of solving it. Here it is:
I've retouched a whole bunch of photos from a session outside. The retouching meant (among other things) setting the WB selectively for each photo (or group by group), since the sun was setting during the shoot. Everything looks swell on my monitor, however I found out that on other screens the photos are consequently cooler. Yeah, I know I have an issue with monitor calibration and I intend solve it, but before that I'd like to save my work without adjusting the WB again one by one to each photo. So the question is: is it possible to shift the WB temperature for the entire set of photos by a constant value (some 200 K)? This would help enormously. Any suggestions? Appreciate any help. I'm on LR 3.x
    Cheers
    Luke

You can use the Quick Develop tools in Library - the same technique as this:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1137465?tstart=60
With Grid view, changes made in the right side panel are applied to all highlighted thumbnails automatically as incremental changes on top of - not replacing - their current settings.
With Loupe view, even if multiple images appear highlighted in the Filmstrip, changes are applied just to the single selected image you are viewing - unless you have clicked a toggle-switch at lower-right of screen, to switch LR into "Auto Sync" mode.

  • Operating and Non-operating temperatures for iPhone 5s

For all iPhones it is mentioned as below -
    Nonoperating temperature: −4° to 113° F (−20° to 45° C)
    Operating ambient temperature: 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C)
    Above info is mis-leading.
So which is  the temperature for optimal usage if all temperatures between −4° to 113° F are non-operating?

No, it's not mis-leading. It is a standard way of marking product temp ranges.
    It can safely be stored (non-operating) in temps of −4° to 113° F (−20° to 45° C)
If it is hotter or colder than this, it may get damaged.
It will operate correctly in temps of 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C).
Hotter or colder than this and it may not operate.

  • Idle time for Oracle user

    Hi,
we have PS FSCM9 with Oracle DB 10g R2. For the moment idle time for Default profile of Oracle users in DB is UNLIMITED. I wonder if I change it to 90 Minutes (in order to have less memory usage for idle sessions) there would be a probleme for PeopleSoft ERP ?
    Thanks before.

It could be an issue since Peoplesoft is working through Application server and connection pool. It could stopped (or killed) application server connection client, which you would avoid to be able to reconnect later on with other front end user.

  • Right CPU temperature for MacBook?

I downloaded an application today that lets me see how hot my processor is running, it displays the temperature in the menu bar. I thought it was running a little hot, so I did some Google searches and saw the average temperature was about 43-50C, mine's running anywhere from 56-60C.
Is the running temperatures different for MacBooks? In a sense, is this normal temperature for the MacBook? I have good ventilation for it, my fan works fine and all that, but I'm curious as to what average running temperature is, and what's safe, what I should be expecting, etc.
    Thank you!

We have had many discussions on MacBook temps. Normal temp is usually 50ºC to 60ºC. Then when it gets hot it can get up to around 80ºC to 85ºC. Some run cooler, not by much, and some run hotter.
Yours is normal. See this for info also. Apple Notebooks: Operating Temperatures
