IDM: dispatcher is not starting

Hi,
I have installed IDM server and completed the identity center configuration.Now i am adding dispatcher.but when i am testing it i am getting error

Classpath is set to ojdbc14.jar
In path set path to java.exe
i am using JAVA
java version "1.4.2_10"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_10-b03, mixed mode)
Let me know any other things that i need to check.

SAP Web Dispatcher does not start as windows service

Hi,
I have successfully installed and configured SAP Web Dispatcher. When I start the web dispatcher from command prompt, it works fine. I created a windows service for web dispatcher using the command
ntscmgr install sapwebdisp -b "c:\program files\sap\sapwebdisp\sapwebdisp.exe"
-p "service pf=sapwebdisp.pfl -cleanup -auto_restart"
The command successfully created sapwebdisp service. The service also starts fine, but web dispatcher does not get started.
Any ideas experts?

Ok. Few suggestions.
1. Can you review the SAP note:
552286 Troubleshooting for the SAP Web Dispatcher
2. When you said: "web dispatcher does not get started ", what error you got ? Can you be more details here ?
3. Please check the trace file dev_webdisp" that generated in the work directory. If the log entries is not abvious, increase the trace level to 2 or 3, and reproduce and re-check the trace file.
4. What is the output of the command "sapwebdisp -v"
5. How about sapwebdisp.pfl ? Are those settings correct ?

J2EE dispatcher does not start !!!

Hi all,
Just got problem, our java dispatcher on XI does not start even if java server starts correctly on one instance, and the other java instance starts correctly either (both dispatcher and server).
We tried to restart java dispatcher, but did not help, then restarted whole system, but did not help, java dispatcher on central instance did not start.
Can somebody help me where to look to solve the problem. May there be a problem with parameter settings? There is suspition that it can be problem with JVM?

Did you check the J2EE startup traces like dev_dispatcher, dev_server etc (I'm not sure about actual names, but they can be found in DVBESMGxx/work subdir) ...

1. The dispatcher shows status "stopped" in the SAP MMC.

Dispatcher does not start during Refresh

We are currently carrying out System Refresh from our Production to Quality system using Oracle backup and recovery method.
We are currently able to restore & recover the Production backup on Quality System. We have tried to restart the database & application to continue with Post-refresh activities. However, we are unable to start the SAP application ( Note: Both SAP application & database resides on different host. Also, we have other SAP applications running on the same server).

    this value is probably limited by swap space

    em/initial_size_MB > 7420 MB will not work
Maximum address space per process....: 15768 MB
Total available swap space...........: 10572 MB
    main memory size x 3 recommended , minimum 1 GB
Based on the input, we have tried changing the Extended memory settings for the server ( em/initial_size_MB = 7000 , ztta/roll_extension = 2147483648) This time the SAP application started, but did not last for long. The Dispatcher died soon with the below error:

I have a simple script that starts synergyc and connects to a different server dependent on my current network connection. The script is:
- Executable
- Owned by root
- Not writeable by any other group
- Executes as expected when run manually
I have ran the following commands as shown in the wiki (Though I only have an idea what they actually are doing)
# systemctl start NetworkManager-dispatcher
# systemctl enable NetworkManager-dispatcher
Any ideas on what I'm missing would be appreciated

Web Dispatcher is not started

I have installed SAP web Dispatcher successfully. I found following error message in dev_webdisp file, I check profile it has Message server ( java CI instance) host name and message server HTTP port (50100).
I am not sure about this parameter ms/http_port =50100. I would appreciate any help on this.

My dispather in my J2ee server cann't start with the Exitcode -2 and the Errors following:

According to me its issue with Virtual memory sizing.
Idealyy it should be 8GB + RAM and again its depends on environment.
Also check the swap space on the system. How much swap size is free.
Reward the point if issue solved.

you may need to restart at OS level...
thn perform follo...
in command prompt....
go for this... folder...
\usr\sap\epd\jc00\sdm\program\
type following...
sdm jstartup "mode=integrated"
this can start sdm in integrated mode while running thru SAP Management..
and if you dont want to start it at that level and manually start the same do following...
instead of integrated type standalone...
thn go to sdm folder and run remote gui
this will start on with sdm...

 From the above log, it says that there is problem in database connection. But I am not able to figure out where the problem lies & what are the changes that needs to be done.

The system appears to think that the dispatcher process may already be running. Stop all the SAP processes and run cleanipc to clear out the shared memory. I've seen this on AIX before where the shared memory will prevent SAP from starting back up and clearing these resolved the issue.

J2EE engine Dispatcher not starting

I installed Developer Workplace 2004s SR2 (Java) on MS SQL server, in Windows XP Professional. It worked fine and I was able to start the engine. When I patched it to SP10 , dispatcher is not starting and it is greyed out. All the log files has no errors reported except one file which has an error message logged in work/jvm_dispatcher.log. Here is the message:
Error - ID:000000. Error in loading com.sap.engine.core.Framework class. Class not found.
Any Clue

Are all SCA needed for SP10 deployed successfully?
I think some sca files were not properly deployed...

Hi,
The system was running fine for about two weeks and now the dispatcher will not start, we have upgraded the java server from windows 2003 to windows 7 and i did a system copy using the sapinst tool. This is a java only server using ABAP ume to connect.
Hers is the errors i am receiving:

Not much investigation can be done with:
Loading: ThreadManager returned false!
Kernel not loaded. System halted.
Just retrigger a server restart and then check the below logs. You will definitely find more information on the error:
/usr/sap/<SID>/work/ dev, std and jvm*
and
/usr/sap/<SID>/JC<nr>/j2ee/cluster/server0/logs/default trace (latest).
