IDOC Mapping Structure

Dear All,
We are working on File-PI-IDOC interface in which from file we are creating employee in SAP using IDOC HRMD_A.HRMD_A07.
I have gone through some blogs on SDN and it suggests that IDOC structure to be filled like as shown below:
e1plogi
e1pityp
e1p0000
e1pityp
e1p0001
e1pityp
e1p0002
Whereas the standard IDOC structure is like as follows:
e1plogi
e1pityp
e1p0000
e1p0001
e1p0002
Please suggest how can we get the structure as specified above. My input structure of the file is as below:
pa0000
pa0001
pa0002
Reg,
NJ

If you have any issue for understanding the structure of IDoc, try to fill that structure on Application System in WE19 Mannually.
you can check these issue there on application system (Test IDoc) WE19.
create mappiing & make change in mapping after that.

  • Generating IDoc DDF structures for EDI mapping

    Hello all,
    I am looking for a way to generate IDoc DDF structures to use them in the EDI mapping in Gentran.
    I was able to find one on ERPGenie.com (developed by Kevin Wilson) but it is only available for ECC 4.x. We are on ECC 6 and the program gives me an ABAP dump when I try to run it.
    Does anyone have the fix for this code? Or perhaps another way to accomplish this task?
    Actually, I am only interested in generating the MBGMCR02 IDoc
    Thanks for your help

    It's been a long time since I have done any IDOC processing.
    Go to SE37 and enter the function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS.  Display the source code.  Search for "CALL CUSTOMER".  You should see several "CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION" lines.  These are enhancements where you can manipulate the IDOC data.  If you locate the correct one (where the data is read from the IDOC but not yet validated), you should be able to map the partner function value.  Double-clicking on the number in quotes will bring you to an "EXIT_" function module.  A "ZX" INCLUDE program is referenced.  If you haven't used the exit yet, double-clicking on the ZX INCLUDE will create it.  The values passed into the function module are available in the INCLUDE.
    Ideally, you should create a project in transaction CMOD that references the chosen enhancement.  This way you can activate/deactivate without commenting/uncommenting the code in the INCLUDE.

  • Convert IDOC XML structure to flat file - and now?

    Hi,
    we are working with input message ORDERS05 and want to convert it to flat file.
    So we used the implementation description from "how to convert an IDOC-XML structure to a flat file....".
    Looks like this is a standard procedure described here fitting for all IDOCs.
    We followed the guide, making XI ready for Abap-Mapping, implemented the Abap class like described, added an interface mapping with source ORDERS05 to a mess.type dummy destination, added with type Abap-class the class implemented from the guide and completed the Int.Dir. implementation.
    For comparism purpose we have two systems as receiver, one with a standard flat file with regular graph.mapping in XI, one with the Abap mapping.
    Result:
    Error description in SXMB_MONI:
    Didn´t expect something like that! The IDOC was delivered successfully to the other simple flat file receiver.
    Any idea what we made wrong (we are on SP17) or if there is a standard mistake you can do when following the guide?
    Best regards
    Dirk

    Hi,
    I've got the same problem. He the solution in my case:
    The problem is:
    My IDOC has no element <STDMES>, but the method IF_MAPPING~EXECUTE from the 'HOW-TO Guide' does not check this situation:
    el_element = idocument->find_from_name('STDMES').
    ls_edidc-stdmes = el_element->get_value().
    thows the exception.
    Solution:
    make shure that the field STDMESis set or change the method to:
    el_element = idocument->find_from_name('STDMES').
    if not el_element is initial.
        ls_edidc-stdmes = el_element->get_value().
    endif.
    Best regards

  • Complex IDOC mapping problem

    Hello,
    I'm stuck with a complex mapping issue that I can't figure out.  I'm trying to pull 0..N Variant Configuration segments from the ORDERS IDOC and map it into a 0..N XML segment.
    The inbound ORDERS IDOC is structured like this:
    IDOC
    ...E1EDP01  (Item segment 0..N)
    ......E1EDP19 (Product data 0..5)
    ...........Z1EDPIT  (Configuration Data 0..N)
    .................ATUE1   (Description)
    .................ZCODE   (Category)
    .................RTWTB  (Value)
    Target XML:
    Order
    ....Item  (Item segment 0..N)
    .......Product  (Product data 0..1)
    ............VariantConfig  (configuration data 0..N)
    ....................Description
    ....................Category
    .....................Value
    I need to create a new VariantConfig segment in my XML for every Z1EDPIT segment for that PO Item.  But I need to skip any Z1EDPIT segments when ATUE1 = 'OPTIONS' or when ATUE1 does not exist.
    The problem I'm running into is that my mapping is capable of creating the VariantConfig segment under those conditions but the following mappings used to create the Description/Category/Value are unable to skip the Z1EDPIT segments.
    For example:
    IDOC
    ...E1EDP01
    ......E1EDP19
    ...........Z1EDPIT
    .................ZCODE     = REQT
    .................RTWTB     =  5644
    ...........Z1EDPIT
    .................ATUE1     = Finish
    .................ZCODE    = REQT
    .................RTWTB    = 7712
    The output XML should read:
    Order
    ....Item
    .......Product
    ............VariantConfig
    ....................Description   = Finish
    ....................Category      = REQT
    .....................Value          = 7712
    So I determine to create the VariantConfig segment if ATUE1 exists and does not equal 'OPTIONS'.  So my mapping creates one VariantConfig segment because the second Z1EDPIT qualifies.  But each element within that node is reverting back to the first Z1EDPIT segment.
    I thought the top of the Node (VariantConfig) would determine the context for the following fields.  Therefore, when the 2nd Z1EDPIT segment generates the VariantConfig node then the elements should refer to the current context of the root node (VariantConfig).
    What tools does PI's mapping provide to resolve a situation like this?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Job,
    Thanks, for the responses!
    What do you mean by "add a context change for the fields".
    Is there some mapping function to add a context change or is this a UDF I need to write to handle the context changes when ATUE1 is missing or equal to "OPTIONS".
    In my example:
    VariantConfig:
    ATUE1 (E1EDP01) >mapWithDefault [OPTIONS] equatsS [OPTIONS] -> Not ->createIf->VariantConfig
    Sub Element
    Category
    ATUE1 (E1EDP01) >mapWithDefault [OPTIONS] equatsS [OPTIONS] -> Not ->ifWithoutElse>ZCODE->Category
    The problem is that this does not keep the ATUE1 and the ZCODE in the same Z1EDPIT segment.  So I get the first ZCODE value when I only want the 2nd.   Even if I insert a context change I can't say for sure that next time I won't have 5 Z1EDPIT segments missing the ATUE1 segment before I find my first good segment that I need to map.
    ...confused...
    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Idocs mapping

    Hi All,
    I have a question here.
    Whenever we Syndicate from MDM an XML file which is using the MATMAS05 structure,we can view only the data segments and their fields in the destination preview that means,we are not syndicating the control and status segment.Will this not cause the idocs to fail as the control seg contains some required fields.
    If we are using XI in the scenario,will it be able to do the control and status segment mapping without MDM syndicating those segments to XI in the xml file.
    How do we take care of this?
    Useful answers will be rewarded
    Regards
    Simona

    Becky/Simona,
    If you have gone through the blog provided by Maheswri, then please see the first method of sending Idoc, it says if dont click checkbox and disable the segment, the control record will go with default values.
    I think Simona is sending data segment only from MDM not control segment. so just do mapping and try according to that blog.
    Please also read this from help.sap.com:
    Apply Control Record Values from Payload or not:
    If you set the indicator, the conversion of communication parties to the IDoc partner is only possible for systems that are not logical systems.
    If you do not set the indicator, all combinations of communication parties and services are handled as services without party.
    If the IDoc XML structure contains a control record during outbound processing on the Integration Server, it is rejected and created again by the IDoc adapter. If you want to include additional values in the control record, set the indicator and provide an appropriate mapping for the values. See also: Fields of the IDoc Control Record.
    So i think the scenario should work without control record .

    Alok

  • Need your assistance in mapping Structure and Field in DME Tree

    Hello Friends - I need your help in "Mapping from structure field" in DME.
    In the existing format tree, It is mapped Structure as "FPAYP" and Field name "BNAME" to populate Company Code name in the Payment file.
    Now I am asked to change this to populate value either from OX02 or OX15.
    When Company Code name was maintained, It was maintained in short and in the address tab, Full name is maintained.
    Please let me know which Structue and Field I should assign to pull the value either from OX02 or OX15.
    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks a lot Henri/Lakshmi.
    I have maintained mapping procedure Sturecture/field - FPAYHX/AUST1 to get the CoCd name in the file. In AUST1, Length of the CoCd is more  than 18, and as per Bank format, It should be 18 characters in length.
    User is not happy that complete CoCd name is not populated in the file. He has come up with an alternative and shortened the CoCd name that needs to be populated in the file and suggested us to get the value into the payment file. We should not replace CoCd name with the name he suggested in OX02/OX15,FBZP.
    My doubt is that if there is any filed I can use to maintain the name he suggested and assign it in mapping procedure.
    Thanks

  • IDoc mapping for VMI

    Hello,
    We'd like to store the idoc data extracted from EDI 852 inbound transaction in an infocube for DP. SAP Note 154604 suggests that trx <b>/sapapo/map_tser</b> can be used for specifying the infocube.
    However, in SCM 4.1, this trx has a field for PA only, not infocube. I was wondering how to pull the data into infocube.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Need to generate 2 idoc"mapping issue"

    Hi Experts,
    When the Purchase_order_type is coming like HIGH,REGULAR,NEW,BOUNCED. In this case i need to generate 2 idoc, based on HIGH is one and Other than HIGH is one, even though if it's REGULAR,NEW,BOUNCED.
    I can't generate. pl suggest

    selvam

    Hi,
    Please make sure you will sort the data in your select query.
    Now, you need to have two idocs in mapping. Click on Duplicate Subtree to have second IDOC. Now lets assume, your first IDOC represents mapping when ORDER TYPE is HIGH and your second IDOC represents mapping when your ORDER TYPE is not equal to HIGH that is NEW, BOUNCED, REGULAR etc.
    I have defined Source and Target data type as follows.
    Source Data Type:
    SDN
       <Row>
          <CQ_NO/>
          <ORDER_TYPE/>
          <LINE_NO/>
       </Row>
    Target Data Type:
    SDNTarget
       <IDOC>
          <Node>
             <CQ_NO/>
             <ORDER_TYPE/>
             <ItemNode>
                <LINENO/>
             </ItemNode>
          </Node>
       </IDOC>
    Mapping for IDOC 1:
    IDOC:
    Order Type -->Fix Values --> remove context
    Fix Values (This should have default u201Cfalseu201D and HIGH = true)
    Concatenate Output of point 1 with CQ_NO (Context of CQ_NO should be at SDN)
    Output of point 3 --> Split by value (value changed) -->collapse context
    Output of point 4 will be first input to u201CStart withu201D function and second input will be constant u201Ctrueu201D
    Output of Point 5 --> create if --> IDOC
    Node:
    Map with constant
    CQ_NO:
    Order Type --> Fix Values --> remove context
    Fix Values (This should have default u201Cfalseu201D and HIGH = true)
    Concatenate Output of point 1 with CQ_NO (Context of CQ_NO should be at SDN)
    Output of point 3 --> Split by value (value changed)
    User Format By example. Pass CQ_NO (Context of CQ_NO should be at Row) as first input and second input should be output of point 4.
    Pass Output of format by example that is point no 5, to collapse context --> Split by value (Each Value) --> CQ_NO
    ORDER_TYPE
    Order Type --> Fix Values --> remove context
    Fix Values (This should have default u201Cfalseu201D and HIGH = true)
    Concatenate Output of point 1 with CQ_NO (Context of CQ_NO should be at SDN)
    Output of point 3 --> Split by value (value changed)
    User Format By example. Pass ORDER_TYPE (Context of CQ_NO should be at Row) as first input and second input should be output of point 4.
    Item Node:
    Order Type --> Fix Values --> remove context
    Fix Values (This should have default u201Cfalseu201D and HIGH = true)
    Concatenate Output of point 1 with CQ_NO (Context of CQ_NO should be at SDN)
    Output of point 3 --> Split by value (value changed)
    Output of point 4 will be first input to u201CStart withu201D function and second input will be constant u201Ctrueu201D
    Output of Point 5 --> create if --> IDOC

  • IDOC Creation - structure has no data elements

    Hello,
    I've encounted the following situation when creating a new custom idoc:
    The structure in the data dictionary does not have any components (Data elements) associated with each field. (i.e if you view the structure using se11).  This is causing problems when trying to build ALE conversion rules using BD79 as you cannot tell which field is which for conversions with muliple conditions.
    Does anyone know how to get data elements against the fields in the dictionary structure.  Standard SAP idocs appear to have them - see E1MARCM.
    (we are using version 4.7)
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks!

    Anita,
    I am assuming that although you are creating a custom idoc you are referring to  standard strucutre already existing for your segment.
    I am not very clear here, how did you create the segment. Can you clarify on the same?
    regards,
    Ravi

  • Help!! - File to Idoc Mapping with Nested structure

    Scenario:
    I have an inbound file that has three nested records.
    eg. A00, B00 and C00. C00 is nested structure of B00 and B00 nested structure of A00. All these structure can repeat N number of times in a file.
    How do I map this to IDoc structure that have one segment each for the three structures in the file and nested in the same way.
    Question: How is the parent child relationship established?
         Suppose I have a file
         A00 1234 Sam 29
              B00 london LE3 XYZ
              B00 US 123456
                    C00 2 XYZ
               A00 5678 Joe 22
            B00 US 23456
         If I make a nested structure and then say in the file conversion properties that A00 go to segA and then B00 go to segB, but then when I come back to A00, how do I move the data to the A00?
    Thanks in Advance
    Rgds

    From what you have layed out, you can create a data type with 3 children, all 1..unbounded cardinality, each containing their own elements.  You say they are nested, but the example you gave isn't nested... it's just A's followed by B's followed by C's.  If that is the case, you can then use a data type w/ 3 subelements (A, B & C) and each of those is actually a container with the real attributes of that line in your file.  (I can email you a schema quickly if you need it)
    If you are saying they can occur like this:
    A00 1234 Sam 29
    B00 london LE3 XYZ
    B00 US 123456
    C00 2 XYZ
    B00 US 23456
    C00 2 XYZ
    THEN they are nested - ie B's & C's repeat under any A.  Then you must create segment B as a subelement of segment A instead of on the same level, then bury C under B. (I find this easiest w/ a text tool rather than inside XI, as I can cut/paste segments where I want them to belong...)
    Good luck with setting up content conversion on that file adapter... We have done this a few times, and it can be quite interesting.
    If you have trouble with the schema, you can post your email & I can give you a quick example.

  • Order05 Idoc mapping in SRM XML Structure

    Hello All,
    I need to map Idoc order05 from ERP system into SAP provided SRM XML Structure.
    Anyone has done this sort of mapping before.

  • Mapping Record structure to IDOC (mapping fundamentals)

    Hello,
    how and WHAT should i map? Because all the time the test in Integration Builder works fine, but at runtime i got an exception during mapping (i dont know why).
    Left Side (Message Type)           Right Side (IDOC)
    CMA_MSGTYP1      1..1              OILBLM.SAVE...   1..1
      RECORD         1..1                IDOC           1..1
        CONTROL      1..1                  EDI_DC40     1..1
        SEGMENT      0..unbounded          E1BPP...     0..999
    SEGMENT contains all values for the corresponding IDOC segment E1BPP..
    The attributes BEGIN for IDOC and SEGMENT for EDI_DC40 are set to "1" with the constant function.
    Do i really need to map EDI_DC40?
    Do i need to map CMA_MSGTYP1, RECORD and CONTROL?
    Thanks!

    Thanks for your help!
    I have found the error. I just put the payload from SXMB_MONI into the test tab. The result was the same as described - empty. At a closer look i have found one small difference:
    The incoming message SXMB_MONI files starts with
    <ns:CMA_FILEINPUT1 xmlns:ns="http://ww..
    The CMA_FILEINPUT1 is coming from the file adapter.
    The xml source in message mapping test tab starts with
    <ns:CMA_MSGTYP1 xmlns:ns="http://ww..
    where CMA_MSGTYP1 is the name of the message type.
    If i change now the parameter "document name" in conversion parameters of the file adapter to CMA_MSGTYP1 everything works fine!
    That means: "document name" in conversion parameters of file adapter must be the same name of the message type in message mapping.
    I must admit that i don't quite understand this...

  • Idoc Mapping

    Hello everybody,
    I have the next scenario Oracle DB-> XI-> Idoc PAYEXT,  now the problem is that I get the error in the message mapping that Mapping not sufficiently defined, my strcutures look fine, so is there a way to know all the required fields for an Idoc, there is no fields in red as in other ocassions indicates mapping required, any suggestions????, thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Julio Cesar

    Hi Julio,
    As Aamir suggested, you can used TC :WE60 to check the idoc structure and mandatory fields.
    Just in addition to Aamir, In most of the idocs when you assign constant to a idoc segment in order to generate segment you need to populate the mandatory fields of that segment as well.  So you need to assign values  to mandatory fields of segment only if you want to generate that particular segment ( By assigning constant / mapping input element value for repeatation.)
    In you case can you please check if you are trying to generate some segment, but you havent mapped mandatory fields of that segment.
    Hope this will help.
    Let us know if you need more detals.

  • IDOC mapping issue (calculation using parent and child fields)

    We are mapping an IDOC to a file for output to a third party.  The IDOC has many segments, some of which are embedded.  This is where I'm having the issue.  I am trying to perform a calculation on a field from the parent node (E1EDP01-MENGE) with the field from the child node (E1EDP05-KRATE) to determine the total tax for that line (qty X rate).
    <b>Issue:</b> The mapping that is in place is using the same MENGE value for all calculations, even where the E1EDP01 segment is not a parent of the E1EDP05 segment.
    Please review the screen prints and explain how I can correctly group the E1EDP05 child segments rate field (KRATE) with the corresponding parent segment E1EDP01 quantity (MENGE).
    <b>Example:</b>
    Parent segment, E1EDP01 / Child segment E1EDP05 (There are many E1EDP05 segments for 1 E1EDP01 segment)
    E1EDP01 (parent node)
      E1EDP05 (child node)
    <b>Target structure</b>
    ITEM (parent) --->E1EDP01 is mapped at node level
      -->ITEM_DATA --->E1EDP01 is mapped at node level
      -->ITEM_TAX --->E1EDP01 is mapped at node level
           -->(fields for item_tax)
           -->Record type
           -->Invoice number
           -->Line total
           -->etc...
    I am mapping (E1EDP01-MENGE) for calculation with (E1EDP05-KRATE) to determine tax at the line item level. I have the context set at each Node, E1EDP01 for MENGE and E1EDP05 for KRATE.  I was using CopyValue, but this was using the frist occurence of MENGE for all line items.
    <b>mapping example</b>
    <u><b>*I am using MENGE (Copy_Value) then multiplying by KRATE to get the line item total.  This was causing the same MENGE (because of Copy_Value) for all line items.</b></u>
    E1EDP01-MENGE|Copy_Value|MULT--->TAX_ITEM-LINE_TOTAL
    E1EDP05-KRATE|
    I removed the CopyValue and now I'm getting the following error:
    Cannot produce target element /ns0:MT_DTN_INVOICE1/INVOICE/ITEM/ITEM_TAX[3]/LINE_TOTAL. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd
    How can I map this so the child records (E1EDP05) are grouped with the correct parent records (E1EDP01)?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi all and thanks for your answer.
    My problem is that for what i can see all Idoc attribute (like the attribute BEGIN) are mapped with constant value.
    In taget source i can see :  BEGIN = Constant([value=1])
    What i dont understand is why when i execute the scenario it ends with this message :
    <SAP:P1>MSGGUID EF7E2140A08811DDBE1202004C4F4F50: Tag #TEXT found instead of tag IDOC BEGIN=</SAP:P1>
    It seem to me that the tag BEGIN is not filled with value, i also tried to copy the source xml file directly from SXMB_MONI  (from payload) and test it in Integration Repository mapping section, but here is all ok and the test end succesfully.
