Idoc relations to Shipment gets deleted

Hi ABAP Gurus
We are establishing relation between Inbound/Outbound Idocs to the Shipment Number using the function module BAPI_REL_CREATERELATION with parameters Shipment Number, VTTK, Idoc Number, IDC0, IDC0 in BAPI_OBJECT.
The relation establishment works fine. But after 4 or 5 days, the relation between the idocs and shipments will get deleted and cant be seen in VT03N. We couldnt get any luck while debugging as it always works fine with it and issue comes only after 4 or 5 days.
Can someone throw light on this please. This is very critical for one of the business process.
Any information on this will be appreciated.

Hi Giridhar Kommisetty,
as I remember the relationship is established through some 3 or 4 tables. Try to find out, take a snapshot of the relevant records. When the relationship disappears, check which records have changed in what way. This could give you a hint.

Data in BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB are not getting deleted

Hi All,
We are in SRM 4.0.
Since today morning whenever a user trying to create / change shopping cart, PO, GR it got updated in the BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB. But it is not getting deleted automatically. Earlier it used to get deleted automatically once the documents have been ordered.
But I could see the POs and GRs have been transfered to the back end system.
Job CLEAN_REQREQ_UP is running every 2 mts.
Please advise.

note 338985 describes in detail how the the status of the document(s), CLEAN_REQREQ_UP and the IDOCs interact.
If the documents are posted without any error i.e. there´s everything perfect but the 'obsolete' entries in BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB, then this sounds like a malfunction.
Maybe you should debug the the cleaner with one document and see whats happening starting at the following spot:
CLEAN_REQREQ_UP
process selected entries: check existence of follow on documents,
update if necessary local documents etc. (depends on entry type)
        LOOP AT selarea.
          IF still_to_proc = c_proc_block_size.
            SET UPDATE TASK LOCAL.
          ENDIF.
lateron the entries are deleted in function module BBP_DELETE_FROM_DOCUMENT_TAB
Note 535765 describes how to delete entries via a Z* report but I would NOT RECOMMEND to do that without having checked the situation by SAP before.

problems, as the system needs the entries to set the right status to

We have a scenario where we need to send an IDoc to webservice and get the response back into another IDoc.
Questions:
1. Is this scenario possible without a BPM? or do we need to use BPM (Sync-Async bridge).
2. Is there a Async to Sync bridge in BPM?
3. How do I use this bridge in my scenario and customize it?
4. If not possible, provide me the related docs using BPM for the same scenario.

Email in Exchange inbox are getting deleted

Email in Exchange inbox are getting deleted automatically.
I could see my mails received in my Inbox and immediately getting disappeared.
Is there any possible way to find the how these are getting deleted.

Hi Santosh,
From your description, I recommend you disable the POP3 feature on the problematic mailbox to determine whether the issue is related to POP3 account.
If the issue persists, please move this problematic mailbox to another mailbox database and check the result.

Can anyone tell me in which transparent table the link between the Inbound Idoc number and Shipment number are stored ?
or is any function module in which the Shipment number is imported and the Idoc number is exported ?

Please reward and close your other related post. Now here is the answer for this.
As I mentioned in response to your previous post, this is stored in the status records of the IDoc. So you need to go to table EDIDS with your IDoc number and STATUS = 53(Application Document Posted). Read teh value in the field 'STATXT'. If there are any & they should be replaced by 'STAPA1', 'STAPA2', 'STAPA3' and 'STAPA4' depending on how many '&' you have.
One of these 4 parameters will be your shipment number, typically it will be STAPA1.

Calendar items get deleted after computer restart

Hi, I keep having this problem of my calendar items getting deleted/cleared after I restart my computer. Basically, I sync my handheld on two computers, one is work PC and the other my home PC. Changes are done on both PCs. I modify items on my work PC then sync with the handheld. When I get home, mostly during weekends, I also sync my handheld with my home PC. No modifications are done on the handheld. These past few days, I just noticed my calendar items in the Palm Desktop that the items I added/modified a day ago is no longer there. I have already lost a couple of appointments because of this. Please help.

With Palm desktop 6.2 there is an issue with losing data but it is mostly seen on Vista systems. This issue has been escalated to Palm Engineering.
When you shutdown your PC, do you close Palm desktop or leave it open? We have seen leaving Palm desktop open, when the PC is shut down, to cause data loss. Another cause of data loss can happen by having Palm desktop open when a Windows update occurs. If you are not using Palm desktop, close it.
Here is a procedure for recovering the data.
You can recover the data from your user folder provided you have only sync'ed once with the PC when you discovered the data missing. When you sync to the PC there are files created for each PIM category in your user folder. For Example; datebook.dat or datebook (Depending on the version of Palm Desktop) and datebook.bak. Using Palm Desktop version 6.2 the file names are .mdb and mdb.bak. For 6.2, the files are located in the username folder in PalmOSdesktop in my documents.
The files are named .dat and .bak. When you sync, the current data is stored in .dat. The next time you sync the data in the .dat file is copied to the .bak file. You can rename the .dat to .old. then rename the .bak to .dat. If the data in the .bak file is intact, it will now be in Palm desktop when you reopen Palm desktop. I have included a link to show you how to find the userfolder on the PC.

The best way to backup your data is to use the export feature in Palm Desktop. Make a new folder on the PC desktop named Palm Desktop Backup data. Next, select the category you want to export. You will get a window that asks where you want to save the file, save in the folder created on the desktop. There is a button that allows you to select currently selected record or all, select all. If you don't select all, then only the record highlighted is exported. You will then need to name the file for export, I suggest the name of the category, eg: datebook (With current date). Do this for all critical data in each category. With the data exported to the folder on the PC desktop, you can save this data to a flash drive, external hard drive or a CD-RW. With this method you will have your data in a seperate place than Palm desktop and the device. If you "Lose" data again, you can import the data back into palm desktop.
Make sure that when you make changes in palm desktop or the device to export the data to the folder created for the backup.

With the data saved in the folder you created, make a copy of that folder and save to a flash drive, cd-rw or external hard drive.
Anytime you make a change in Palm Desktop, export the data that was changed to that folder and save again to the external media.
With this process you can always import the data back into Palm Desktop anytime you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop or if your computer/hard drive/device crashes.

Pagefile gets deleted after reboot

I have moved the pagefile to another partition and left a small piece on the system drive:
C: (Windows) 200-500 MB
B: (Temp) 4000-16000 MB
When I set the pagefile size, the pagefile gets created immediately, but after reboot it gets deleted again and remains only on the system drive. So after reboot, there is only 200 MB pagefile, not 4200 MB. And the total available memory is only a little
bigger than the amount of RAM, not 16 GB as it should be.
What is wrong? Am I missing something?
I have Win7 Pro SP1 x64, and a lot of free space on B:. Both partitions are on the same SSD disk.

Thanks for your digging and we found similar cases with yours,so I tested on my own machine and turns out it is actually related to the Drive letter. Since The letters A and B are usually reserved for floppy disk drives, it's not recommended to
assign A and B to anything other than a floppy or floppy substitute even you do not have a floppy disk drive installed. I suppose Windows might not let you if you do this thinking "putting a pagefile on a floppy disk!"
We found sort of workaround for you but it still takes a lot of works, and it even need to reformat you hard disk.
Therefore, we recommend changing driving letter and we think it is the best way to avoid this kind of issue.

Hi,
That's correct, System is working as designed.
When all the procurement process is finished, it must be possible to delete the PO item for example for archiving purpose .
You can see the on-line help on that matter:
You cancel items in a purchase order by deleting them.
Please note that an item may only be deleted if it is closed (that is
to say , there is no outstanding quantity to be delivered or invoiced).
Items are regarded as closed if, for example:
· the ordered quantity (or more) has already been delivered
· the ordered quantity has been invoiced in full
· no related follow-on processes (such as reservations) are active
in the stystem."
As you have already received the goods and posted the invoice, the deletion of the item shall have no effect. The procurement process has been completed.
If however you try to delete the item after GR but before invoice receipt, the procurement process is not complete, therefore the error occurs.
Also note the item shall be marked as deleted, but not actually removed from the System, it shall still be available for reporting.

We lost the data from production. We ran Archive program to archive the data and archiving file is still exist.
There is no possibliity to run the OUTBOUND process again to create the IDOCs.
But only my concern is When we run the Transaction SARA we will be getting the data for other period as well.
But I need to reload the data for three months only because that archiving file also has other period data as well.
Can you send me details of how to use SARA Transaciton for particular period.

I create a lot of project folders where i keep all my conversations regarding the project. Once the project is finished i would like to just delete the folder and get rid of all the emails associated with it but when i delete the folder i've noticed that only received messages are deleted. Now I am stuck trying to sort through my sent folder for messages that were returned there after the conversations was supposedly deleted.

Mail/Preferences/Viewing - un-check include related messages, delete the folder, then go back and reset yo include.

Suffix data gets deleted when SunOne server is restarted

I manually created a new suffix for a program I'm installing. The program, during configuration, creates directory entries in this new suffix. Everything works great, but whenever you restart the SunOne server, the data entries underneath this suffix get deleted. the suffix is still there, but when you click on the Directory tab in the console, the directory entries have all disappeared for the suffix I created. Very bizarre. Any help would be appreciated!

I checked both the access and the error logs, nothing of significance shows up. The suffix was originally created from the console manually. This problem occured on a Solaris 9 server, but I have been able to re-create it very easily on a Windows 2000 Advanced server.
Using VMWare, I can easily keep going back and forth from the image with the data and the image with the data missing. I've also noticed that if I try to do an export of the data for this suffix, I get an error that says
"LDAP server is unwilling to perform". I'm wondering if these two errors are related. When I try to do an export with a different suffix on this server, it works great. Right before you do the export, it tells you that if the server does not have the proper access rights on this file, the export will not succeed. I'm not sure how to check that. I did create the suffix manually from the console logged in as cn=Directory Manager". Should I be using a different id? Thanks for your help!

Email, how do I protect Emails on my Treo so that they don't get deleted?

I find that every couple of days, my received Email messages get deleted automatically. There are some that I want saved but I can't seem to find any settings to do this. I don't want Emails deleted unless I delete them. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Experts,
I am facing one problem, for one user his task getting deleted we recovered from recovery but its getting deleted next day.
The MRM has retention 400 days, task created very old but have a new dew date.
I have created a new task folder and moved the task there, but next day it got deleted.
What could be causing this? how to fix? i have removed the retention policy for this user to check tomorrow also i have collected logs by enabling outlook logging.

Please check the AutoArchive settings on the Tasks folder: Right click on the Tasks folder,
Properties, AutoArchive. Check if the there's an AutoArchive setting that removed the tasks.
Please also check if there's a 3rd-party add-ins which may influence the Outlook Tasks. By running Outlook in Safe Mode we can test if it's related:
Press Win + R and type “outlook.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter. If in Safe Mode the tasks don't get deleted, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify that.
I'll provide further assistance if the steps above don't help.

1. What format is the external drive? It sounds like it's ina format that Macs can't write to. Is it a NAS or NTFS?
2. Easiest thing: just move your iPhoto Library to the external
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.
